After defeating the demon, the sword was ready to level up.
On the floor, a glowing area appeared, signaling the place to upgrade it.
He placed the sword down, and in an instant, it was engulfed in a flash of light.
When he picked it up again, the blade felt heavier, sharper… different.
To his surprise, a dragon symbol had appeared on its hilt.
"Why is this here?" he muttered in confusion.
Dragons had long vanished from this world. Legends said their ancestors once used dragons as weapons, but after a great event, they disappeared completely.
As he wondered about the mark, his eyes caught sight of a door beside him. A faint glow seeped through the cracks around its edges.
The door was locked.
He stepped closer and tried to push it open, but it wouldn't budge. Studying it carefully, he noticed a small cavity in the center shaped perfectly to fit his sword.
Without hesitation, he slid the blade into place.
The locks groaned and crackled as they disengaged, and the heavy door slowly creaked open.
A blinding flash of light burst out, striking his face. He quickly raised his hand to shield his eyes.
