The explosive tags mixed in Konan's wings, which were initially severed, finally exploded.
The sky was filled with an endless roar of explosions amidst intense flames.
Konan, who was also impacted and fell in the opposite direction of the long sword, transformed into countless paper sheets during her descent, then quickly reassembled after avoiding the explosion zone, landing safely.
And Shisui, at the moment the explosion occurred in the sky, instantly appeared beside the long sword, grasping its spinning blade with one hand, suspended in mid-air.
The Six Paths of Pain, with their six pairs of eyes, stared intently at the sky, finally spotting an opportunity.
Shisui and Konan had separated.
"Shinra Tensei!"
Before the repulsive force, visibly capable of pushing air, could reach him, Shisui vanished again, reappearing behind Konan.
This time, Shisui was already slashing towards Konan's body.
Their previous exchange had made Shisui aware that the woman before him possessed a special jutsu that could evade most physical damage.
What needed to be done now was to continuously attack, keeping her busy and constantly depleting her Chakra.
The jutsu's weaknesses were clearly fire and water, but the large amount of explosive tags mixed in made Shisui unwilling to continue using Ken Yoen.
As for Water Release, Shisui was not proficient.
Then he would just use swordsmanship; after all, any jutsu required Chakra, and a jutsu that virtually ignored physical attacks must consume far more than his swordsmanship.
Just one round of combat allowed Shisui to determine a stable and suitable battle strategy.
The Deva Path's attack had no effect, and Konan was once again entangled, seemingly at a disadvantage.
This made Nagato recall memories he wished to forget, filling his heart with anger and fear.
"Hey, look over here, Akatsuki Organization guy, your opponent is me!"
Six fireballs appeared out of nowhere around Yuuki, heading towards the Six Paths of Pain.
Yuuki's goal was not to completely terrify Nagato, so his attack was not swift.
Aside from the Deva Path and the Preta Path, the other four Paths of Pain dodged this attack.
The fireballs also grew larger during their flight; what was originally the size of a basketball now had a diameter of nearly a meter.
"Shinra Tensei!"
"Chakra Absorption!"
The fireball repelled by Shinra Tensei came at Yuuki even faster, but it stopped directly one meter in front of Yuuki, hovering in the air.
Meanwhile, the fireball absorbed by the Preta Path visibly shrank, quickly returning to its initial basketball size.
However, the Preta Path's ability continued to activate, and the fireball showed no further change, before Nagato could understand why.
Yuuki revealed a familiar smile on his face.
Just as expected, the Rinnegan, no matter how powerful, was only effective in the Ninja World; it couldn't control Marvel.
With his guess confirmed, Yuuki stopped playing around; the previously still fireball, at a speed difficult to perceive without the Sharingan, directly collided with the Preta Path.
Amidst a burst of flames, the Preta Path turned to ash, leaving only black rods falling to the ground.
The Preta Path was gone; even the Naraka Path couldn't repair that.
Regarding the Naraka Path's mechanism for repairing the other Pains, Yuuki also had his own conjectures.
The Six Paths of Pain were ultimately puppets, unlike living people; in the original work, the Pains Jiraiya defeated, including the Pain struck by Konohamaru during the invasion of Konoha.
When they reappeared later, their original wounds and tattered appearance were still present, indicating that it wasn't a resurrection, but merely a repair.
Whether it was Jiraiya or Konohamaru, while they seemed to kill Pain, they might have only incapacitated him, as Pain was no longer human, and his core and vital points differed from humans.
As long as the core was not damaged, after being patched up by the Naraka Path, he could still be used.
Nagato had already lost contact with the Preta Path the moment it turned to ash, and the Preta Path's ability, which had been separated, returned to Nagato himself.
Not far away, Nagato's main body still couldn't accept this reality: why did the Preta Path's ability fail?
"It seems they are puppets, so which one among you is the true body, or is there no true body at all!"
Yuuki spoke words fitting the battle scene at the opportune moment.
Nagato showed no reaction, still pondering the reason, recalling the previous round of combat, where his side's response had been flawless.
This was like Kisame's first encounter with Might Guy's Morning Peacock; a little thought made him understand the problem.
The opponent's Fire Release was problematic!
Understanding this, Nagato still didn't shift his focus to Yuuki, as it was just a peculiar Fire Release, not a major issue.
Nagato's main focus remained on the battle between Shisui and Konan, with the Human Path, which was highly functional but had almost no combat power, watching that side.
Yuuki also wasn't in a hurry to act; Nagato's fighting spirit wasn't strong right now, his mind filled with the woman.
After taking off his jacket and putting it aside, Yuuki transformed into his Human Torch form, flying into the air and looking down at everything below.
A giant fireball condensed above his head, changing from pale yellow to crimson, and finally to a brilliant white, emitting intense light, yet strangely, no heat waves flowed out, and even the surrounding air seemed perfectly normal.
A proper battle, due to two people whose minds weren't on fighting, somehow turned into a turn-based feeling.
Both sides looked down on the other, believing they could be extinguished with a flick of the wrist.
