Chapter 29 - Beat ²⁵★Sweet Moments☆

Sweet moments

A few days passed, and Leo's games with Ren were still at the same level

Leo still hadn't given in completely and refused to be the bottom, but at the same time, Ren didn't want to put too much pressure on him.

He wanted everything to flow naturally, for Leo to desire him on his own

Even though he was dying to have him close as soon as possible.

By the window of a café, the two of them were sitting, enjoying the beautiful atmosphere beyond the glass.

It was almost autumn, and the falling leaves created the most beautiful scenery of the season. The smell of coffee filled the whole place, giving the air a warm, positive feeling.

Suddenly, Ren's phone rang

Leo tried to peek at the screen but couldn't catch anything.

Ren picked up the phone and answered with a soft, sweet voice:

"Hey sweetie-how are you?" he said, glancing at Leo out of the corner of his eye to catch his reaction.

When Leo heard that word ,his knees went weak, but he didn't show it.

He lowered his head, pretending to play with his own phone, acting like nothing had happened.

"I'm with a friend, having coffee. We're at our usual place. Do you want to come?" Ren continued, sounding unusually gentle.

That must be him, Leo thought, the one he calls 'sweetie'. If Ren talks to him like that, he must be really important.

Still, even though his thoughts were battling inside him, Leo showed no sign of jealousy. He simply lifted his head and forced a faint smile.

Ren then gestured to Leo, asking silently if it was okay for someone to join them.

Leo just nodded "ok" with his hand.

Ren, seeing the tension in Leo's face and knowing exactly how he felt, couldn't resist teasing him even more.

Moments later, a beautiful face appeared at the door-wearing a hoodie and sporty sweatpants that made him look so sweet.

As soon as Leo lifted his eyes and saw him, he recognized him immediately.

It's him! The boy Jin had been obsessed with... the same boy I saw that morning, wearing that exact hoodie.

Leo froze for a second, staring, lost in shock. Meanwhile, a hand reached out in front of him with an adorable smile.

"Hi... I'm Smart," the boy said.

But Leo seemed absent, lost in countless thoughts.

Smart turned toward Ren and gave him a small signal.

Ren instantly understood. Leo had seen them that morning. His reaction said everything-there was no need for words.

Ren leaned closer to Leo, gently brushing his hair, bringing him back to reality with tenderness.

Leo snapped out of it, quickly pushing Ren's hand away, embarrassed, as if saying: What are you doing?

"Nice to meet you. I'm Leo," he said.

Smart almost blushed from the scene he had just witnessed. He sat down with a shy smile, glancing around the café.

"The usual?" Ren's voice cut through, addressing Smart.

"Ah... yes," Smart replied softly, lowering his head.

Damn it, Leo thought. He even knows what Smart likes to drink. They must be something more. There's no other explanation.

His uneasiness was written all over his face.

Ren, of course, read his thoughts and enjoyed watching him suffer in that state.

"What's that you ordered?" Leo asked, looking at Smart's cup.

"Oh, this is a macchiato. It's my favorite," Smart said, taking a sip.

Leo turned to Ren, waiting for some kind of explanation.

"Smart is half Chinese," Ren explained while lighting a cigarette. "In his hometown, he got used to drinking macchiato."

"Ren!" Smart interrupted, snatching the cigarette from his lips. "Can you not smoke while I'm here?"

"Okay, okay," Ren chuckled, holding Smart's cheeks with both hands.

Leo was baffled. What the hell is going on? What are these scenes? What are they to each other? If they really have something, shouldn't Ren at least tell me?

His thoughts were suffocating him.

"Leo," Ren finally said. "Smart is my best friend. Actually... he's like my little brother."

Smart laughed and added:

"Actually, we have another brother, Han. Do you want to meet him too?" He pulled out his phone, ready to call.

Ren quickly snatched the phone from his hand.

"Better not call him now. He only brings trouble. Maybe another time, okay?"

At that moment, Leo felt an incredible wave of relief. Everything he had imagined was wrong. All this time, he had tortured himself, thinking Ren had someone else. It had all been a misunderstanding, driving him crazy for days.

Smart leaned toward Ren, whispering in his ear with a laugh:

"So this is Leo, the one who makes you go insane?"

Ren covered his mouth with his hand before he could say more.

Leo overheard it, smiling faintly.

This guy seems shy, a little cold, but not in a bad way. He's kind of funny, Leo thought.

Carefully, he snapped a super cute photo of Smart and sent it to Jin.

Not even a minute passed before his phone rang. It was Jin.

Leo quickly declined the call, typing with one hand:

I'll call you back soon. Just wait.

The screen lit up again:

Don't make me wait too long...

And just then, Han stormed into the café. He rushed toward them, speaking so fast he was out of breath.

"Are you serious? You guys came out and didn't invite me? Why? What are you hiding from me?"

Smart and Ren motioned for him to lower his voice, as everyone was staring.

Ren looked at Smart suspiciously.

Smart widened his eyes, signaling: Ren, I swear, I didn't call him!

Han kept talking, moving his hands and feet like a child throwing a tantrum. Then suddenly, his eyes landed on Leo.

He smiled awkwardly and said:

"Wow, who's this handsome guy?" He rushed to hug him.

But a hand grabbed him by the neck and pushed him away.

"Looking is enough. No need to touch," Ren said in a firm, serious tone.

"Sit down and stop making a scene," he ordered, forcing Hani into a chair.

"Hey, Smart," Han whispered, "is this the guy you told me about? The one?" Suddenly, his voice got louder.

"Han!" Ren snapped. "Shut it, or else-"

The three of them started bickering and joking endlessly, filling the place with laughter.

Leo felt completely at ease in their company and truly enjoyed the moment.

"Hey, Leo," Smart and Han whispered together, covering their mouths so Ren couldn't hear. "Later, let's hang out just us and talk more, okay?"

Ren caught them out of the corner of his eye, smirking.

"Go out without me? Forget it," he said firmly.

"Okay, okay... then we'll all go out again together," Leo said quickly, his eyes begging Ren to agree.

And for the first time in days, a wave of pure positivity washed over him.
