Chapter 130 - Arcane Solutions: Shop-Chapter 130: Zemo's Plea, Rescuing Hostages in Sokovia

"Then why can't I contact him now?" Gemini asked with a frown.

Draco smiled. "Don't worry, he's safe right now. Relax—we're not children anymore. You don't need to manage us or come back. Stay in America. We have leads on those people. You don't need to worry about it."

Gemini protested unhappily, "I'm an adult now! I'm not a child! I can help!"

Draco's expression became serious. "Listen to me. There are things to do in America too. Those people appeared in America before—the same group you mentioned earlier. I suspect their intentions aren't small. You investigate secretly in America. You don't need to worry about Britain—we're all people who've been through war. We know what we're doing."

Seeing Draco's serious expression, Gemini could only reluctantly agree. "Fine, but if you need me, you must tell me. Don't hide things from me. I don't want to be the last to know anything. I'm an adult now."

Draco nodded. "I know you're powerful and excellent, but you have to trust us too, right?"

They talked for a while longer. Draco shared some information they'd already discovered with Gemini, asking her to investigate secretly in America—maybe she'd find unexpected leads.

After ending the call, Gemini casually flipped through her grade report and tossed it aside with a curl of her lip. So what if they were all Outstanding? She was still being sidelined by those self-proclaimed adults.

After thinking, Gemini stood up, changed clothes, told Ethan downstairs, and walked into the fireplace.

At the foot of Mount Greylock in western Massachusetts, a nearly completed town was bustling with construction. Surrounding buildings were already occupied, and supporting supermarkets and hospitals had begun operating.

Gemini emerged from an inconspicuous house, looked back at the door to identify it—"Public Floo Exit" was written above. She'd need to return from here later. She couldn't get lost—America was much bigger than Britain. If she had to Apparate back, that would be troublesome.

After identifying the direction again, Gemini walked toward the construction site in the distance.

Sun Xiaoxiao at the construction site wore a hard hat, constantly writing on her clipboard, occasionally calling people over to look. When Gemini approached, she saw her effortlessly lift an entire beam and throw it toward the roof.

"Xiaoxiao!" Gemini called out.

Sun Xiaoxiao dusted off her hands, turned around, and immediately walked over with a beaming smile.

"How did you get here? How is it? We're building pretty well, right?" Sun Xiaoxiao said proudly.

Gemini nodded. "Really impressive. In just a few months, you've built it to this level. Truly worthy of being infrastructure maniacs."

Sun Xiaoxiao looked around at the environment, then at Gemini's appearance, decisively took off her hat and threw it to the gatekeeper. "Uncle! Watch this for me—I'm taking my friend to the bubble tea shop!"

Without waiting for the uncle's response, she grabbed Gemini and ran off.

They ordered their favorite flavors and sat by the window facing the street. Sun Xiaoxiao got her bubble tea and took a big sip, sighing with satisfaction before asking, "So what's up? Getting you out of your den—this must be something big."

Gemini smiled and explained the situation in Britain, then showed Sun Xiaoxiao a symbol—a glowing green skull with a wand held horizontally in its mouth and blood-red eyes in the sockets.

Hearing these people were connected to those who'd insulted her before, Sun Xiaoxiao immediately perked up. "Leave it to me! As long as they're still in America, I'll find them for you. Perfect—I haven't vented my anger yet!"

Gemini nodded. "It's not that easy to find them. Those people are like rats in sewers, hiding tight."

Sun Xiaoxiao smiled mysteriously. "Just because we can't find them easily doesn't mean other things can't. Don't worry—as long as magic's involved, we won't hesitate to act. We've never been afraid of anyone in this area! Leave it to me! By the way, when we find them, do you want information after interrogation, or do you want the people?"

Seeing Sun Xiaoxiao's eager expression, Gemini smiled politely. "Just the information."

They smiled at each other. "Come on, let me show you around this magical town I helped design and build!" Gemini stood gracefully and followed Sun Xiaoxiao out of the bubble tea shop.

Sun Xiaoxiao enthusiastically introduced the town to Gemini. Apparently, MACUSA had selected an area of 1,000 square kilometers including Mount Greylock—not even as big as a medium-sized city, but considering Mount Greylock's significance to American wizarding world, magical people felt it was enough. After all, there weren't many people in America's magical community.

After touring around and having a big pot meal at Sun Xiaoxiao's supervised construction site, Gemini walked back to the public fireplace and returned to the shop.

Before Gemini could catch her breath, Tony burst out of the fireplace, holding a tablet with a serious expression. "You need to see this!"

Tony tapped the screen and a video began playing. A young man looked anxiously at the camera while speaking rapidly, occasionally glancing behind him.

"I am Baron Zemo of Sokovia. We have a HYDRA base here. They control Sokovia's government. Our people are kept in the dark. They're capturing people everywhere for human experiments. I have no choice—I can't even resist. Everything here is monitored. My wife was taken yesterday. I'll be discovered soon and taken too. I know there's a team fighting HYDRA, but I can't find them quickly. Tony Stark, you're Iron Man. You said you'd save the world—can you please come save us? Or contact that team! Help us!" The video cut off abruptly, leaving only black screen and background sounds of doors being smashed open and the self-proclaimed Baron Zemo screaming.

Tony frowned and put down the tablet. "I don't think this is just my business anymore. JARVIS found this video in my inbox. My public email gets all kinds of spam daily. JARVIS deletes them periodically—yesterday was time for cleanup when he found the video."

Gemini looked at Tony seriously. "Looks like it's time for the Light of Slytherin Squad to deploy!"

Tony nodded. "Is the big guy's situation resolved? Add Green Guy, bring Ethan, borrow Natasha and Barton? The few of us should be enough, right?"

Gemini agreed. "We'll prepare separately. I'll handle logistics—I'm good at finding people too. You gather everyone. How do we get there?"

Tony walked out while contacting people. "Baldy has planes! We'll use his!"

After leaving the reception room, Tony suddenly realized, "Wait, what's this Light of Slytherin Squad?!"

Gemini completely ignored him. Since he hadn't objected earlier, she'd consider it his agreement!

The summoned team quickly assembled on Stark Tower's top floor. The plane sponsored by the bald guy was already waiting. Without time for much talk, everyone boarded.

On the plane, Gemini set up her crystal ball and began divining. This time they had virtually no leads—only the appearance from the video to sense from. Only after entering Sokovia's airspace did Gemini indicate a general area.

Tony immediately began checking satellite maps. Near there was only forest with one building—a castle.

After confirming the location, Tony and Steve argued again about infiltration versus direct assault. Finally, Gemini chose infiltration—after all, their priority was rescue. Once people were saved, they could let Hulk demolish the base without problems.

Since they were infiltrating, Tony had to stay behind—none of his suits were suitable for infiltration. Originally Gemini couldn't go either, but she pulled out a flowing cloak and put it on—the Invisibility Cloak, one of the Deathly Hallows, undetectable even by modern technology.

Everyone split up, infiltrating from different directions. Natasha and Barton were proper agents, infiltrating silently. Steve... well, let's just say no one had discovered him yet—mainly because anyone who did was lying on the ground.

Gemini, wearing the Invisibility Cloak, Apparated directly into the castle interior, brazenly riding her broomstick in low flight through corridors, searching everywhere for their experiment location.

After several circuits, Gemini impatiently used the Imperius Curse on a guard, finally finding the entrance to the underground laboratory.

Using the Invisibility Cloak to sneak in, passing through the deep elevator passage, when light appeared again, Gemini couldn't help gasping and covering her mouth tightly, afraid of accidentally crying out. Those dark wizards really needed to see this—compared to these Muggles, they were child's play!

Gemini carefully avoided looking at the cruel experiments and finally found where hostages were held.

She immediately spotted Baron Zemo held separately, slumped dejectedly against the wall.

Gemini silenced the area around herself and Apparated directly beside Zemo. "Don't speak, don't move. I'm here to rescue people."

Zemo's whole body shook but he maintained his position, carefully burying his face in his knees to avoid showing any expression.

"Please, save her—my wife. They just took her away," Zemo whispered so quietly Gemini could barely hear.

"Your wife's characteristics?" Gemini asked.

"Blonde, long hair, wearing a black vest, injuries on her arms from their beatings," Zemo said quickly.

Gemini extended her wand from the Invisibility Cloak and muttered something at the guards outside. The guards looked dazed for a moment, then walked toward the cells holding various hostages. "Tony, I need you to attack—draw attention and firepower. Hulk can come out to play."

Tony's cheerful voice came through the earpiece. "I knew it! Can't do without me! Coming!"

The guard staggered toward the cell doors, raised his gun, and shot all the locks. Then he shot at other guards coming to investigate. Alarms instantly echoed throughout the castle. Before there could be any reaction, the entire castle shook violently. Tony's arrogant voice, transmitted through JARVIS's infiltration, echoed throughout the castle interior. The released hostages immediately became chaotic, rushing outside.

Gemini threw off the Invisibility Cloak and grabbed Zemo. "Hold tight. We're going to find your wife—should be in time. I haven't had training—I can't identify those general characteristics you described."

Before Zemo could be surprised, dizziness hit him. When he recovered, fighting the urge to vomit, he searched for his wife among the horrific transparent laboratories. Only in the last one did he see her—his wife lying on an operating table while everyone around had fled.

Zemo grabbed Gemini. "That one! It's her! Save her!"

Gemini Apparated with Zemo into the laboratory. Zemo, ignoring his dizziness, rushed over and checked—still breathing. The chaos had come too suddenly for them to act.

"Ready? We need to go." Gemini said, already seeing guards appearing at the elevator entrance.

Zemo scooped up his wife. "How do we leave?"

Gemini extended her arm. "Hold tight to me and your wife. That's how we leave."

With that, Gemini Apparated. Next moment, they appeared inside the plane. "Watch your wife here. The plane has first aid kits and everything. I need to go back and check."

Without waiting for Zemo's reaction, she returned to the underground laboratory. She'd seen a girl earlier that caught her attention.

Gemini went directly to two completely transparent rooms. The people inside sat coldly back-to-back against the dividing wall—a silver-haired boy and red-haired girl who looked about her age.

"Do you need to get out?" Gemini asked.

"We're volunteers. We don't need rescuing," the red-haired girl said.

Gemini curled her lip. "People volunteer for this kind of experiment? You haven't been brainwashed, have you?"

"We just want power for revenge. Mind your own business," the silver-haired boy said with a playful smile and unpleasant words.

Gemini snorted. "If this girl wasn't radiating magical elements, you think I'd care about you?"

The red-haired girl froze, raised her hand to observe, and red energy began appearing. "This... is called magic?"

Gemini's eyes nearly popped out. Look what she'd found! Someone who could do this? She definitely wasn't just a witch!

Too lazy to explain, Gemini teleported directly into the cell. Before the girl could react, she grabbed her hand and teleported again, appearing in the neighboring boy's room. The silver-haired boy wanted to resist but also wanted to know the girl's specific situation, so he let Gemini grab him. All three disappeared from the transparent rooms.
