Chapter 135 - Arcane Solutions: Shop-Chapter 135: Banner's Banishment

Gemini walked steadily across the empty street. Spells occasionally flew at her. She just waved her wand casually—the colored curses deflected, landing on roads and streetlights, leaving strange marks.

Standing before the door Steve had smashed, Gemini began tracing magical patterns on the frame and walls with her wand.

The screams and battle sounds inside contrasted with Gemini's calm in an eerily harmonious way.

Final stroke complete, Gemini placed her left hand on the starting point and channeled magic. The entire house lit up like a small sun had been dropped inside—bright as if there were no ceiling. Every trap and ambush revealed. Those trying to escape crashed into transparent walls outside windows and doors. They were trapped in this building. Awaiting slaughter.

Harry smiled like he was attending a dinner party. Each wand wave sent someone flying or helped defend teammates.

Full deployment meant from arrival to complete capture, Gemini checked her watch and pouted. "I overestimated them. Only 27 minutes."

Tony clanked over and opened his faceplate. "How do we interrogate these people?"

Harry smiled. "Leave it to us. We're good at this."

Banner and Ethan just arrived on their small motorcycle. Banner jumped off while removing his jacket, shouting, "I'm here! Are we charging in now?"

Everyone looked at him with mixed expressions.

Banner noticed something was wrong. "Wait, you're already done?!"

Ethan leisurely locked the bike. "Next time can you include us? We're all one team. Don't you feel bad leaving us behind every time?"

Tony couldn't help it—doubled over laughing. Even Steve and Bucky couldn't suppress grins.

"Alright, stop fooling around. We..." Gemini's words cut off by a hoarse voice that suddenly rang out.

Before anyone could react, ominous black light shot straight at Gemini.

Everything seemed slow motion. Gemini watched the black light approaching. Only one thought: couldn't dodge.

Next moment, Gemini was knocked flying. Banner took her place—got hit instead!

The moment black light touched Banner, it became a spatial rift that instantly swallowed him. Intense pain of crossing space made Banner transform immediately. Harry, closest, rushed forward but only grabbed torn clothing before Banner was completely taken.

Gemini sat dazed on ground, staring blankly where Banner disappeared. Everything around seemed silenced—ears roared, hearing nothing.

After who knows how long, wild laughter jolted Gemini awake. She looked at the prisoner thrown on ground with cold eyes.

"Hahaha! Got one! Worth it! Haha! Bet you didn't expect—spatial banishment! He'll be taken into spatial turbulence! Even dragons can't survive long in that chaos! He's dead for sure! Haha!" The prisoner laughed while mockingly staring at Gemini.

Gemini looked at him calmly. "What if he survives the turbulence?"

"Impossible! Even if he survives, no one knows where he'll be thrown! Haha! Just a Muggle! He definitely won't make it!" The prisoner glared viciously.

Gemini sighed in relief. "If you say so, I'm reassured. My employee isn't an ordinary Muggle. Honestly, even dragons might not be as tough."

"As for where he's thrown, you underestimate modern Muggles. They can reach the moon now. Even if he's on another planet, we can find him." Tony stepped on the prisoner's back, grinding down hard. Spoke coldly.

Gemini ignored Tony's venting. Asked Harry for Banner's cloth fragment. Carefully put it in her pocket. "Finding people isn't very difficult for a diviner, right?" Gemini looked down at screaming prisoner. "Such a pity. You failed completely. Didn't take anyone."

Harry patted Gemini's shoulder. "You go back first. We'll interrogate here. Don't worry—Banner will be fine. He's sparred with Norbert. At least Norbert couldn't do anything to Banner."

Gemini nodded. "I understand. Won't disturb your work."

She led the way out. Except for British Aurors, everyone followed Gemini out. Gemini grabbed Ethan's arm and Disapparated. Others left quickly by their own means. Left only piercing screams behind.

Back at All-Purpose Shop, Gemini wasn't as calm as she appeared. Struggled to control trembling hands. Took out crystal ball. After calming for long time, controlled emotions. Began divining Banner's safety.

Safe but in danger—Gemini breathed complete relief.

Divined again to determine Banner's location. Saw nothing. Unwilling to give up, tried to force divination. Suffered backlash. Spat blood directly.

Gemini wiped blood from mouth. Smiled faintly at worried Ethan. "He'll return in two years."

Next moment, Gemini collapsed. Ethan frantically caught her. Called Coby for help.

Group just returned became busy again. Carried Gemini to room in fluster. Tony turned and flew toward New York's St. Mungo's. Completely forgot he could Apparate.

When healer arrived, saw chaotic scene. Everyone pacing anxiously.

"Everyone move! Where's the patient?" Healer Vicky Edwin frowned and shouted. People formed two rows against walls. Pointed at Gemini's door.

Vicky had seen many anxious relatives. Didn't mind. Entered patient's room directly.

After a while, Vicky emerged. "Nothing serious—just magical backlash. Can't use more than certain amount of magic for at least a year. Needs daily magic stabilizer and vitality tonic, plus other potions. Who's coming with me to get them?" Vicky recorded in notebook while addressing group.

Tony and Harry immediately stood. "I'll go!"

Without letting them argue, Vicky decided. "Good, follow me."

Tony and Harry exchanged glances. Hurriedly followed healer out. Apparated to St. Mungo's lobby. Vicky had them wait. Got pile of potions from pharmacy. Also gave list of precautions. Harry held medicines. Listened carefully to Vicky's instructions. Tony went to pay bill.

When they returned, Gemini had awakened. Looked sheepishly at furious Harry. Didn't dare argue. Only sat obediently on bed being scolded by everyone.

After discussion, Harry wanted to take Gemini back to Britain to recuperate. She firmly refused. Even after contacting Draco, he agreed Gemini recovering in America was good idea. Don't forget—though they'd destroyed dark wizard organization's American base, Britain was still chaotic internally. Who knew what trouble Gemini's return would cause? Harry reluctantly agreed.

After staying few more days until Gemini could get out of bed steadily. Daily potions reduced from five to two types. Harry finally left through fireplace with many backward glances.

Before Gemini could relax, Weasley couple appeared with large bags. After Harry returned, he'd asked Molly and Arthur for help. Arthur just retired. Idle at home. Leo Weasley sent to Muggle elementary school. James with Ginny and Kreacher's help—no problems. When they heard Gemini was seriously injured and recovering alone in America, couldn't sit still. Right after Harry got home, packed and came to care for her.

Under Molly's meticulous care, Gemini couldn't find time to send private messages. So when George and Fred appeared together, Molly's scream nearly lifted roof.

All-Purpose Shop saw long-missed chaos. Gemini sat peacefully on sofa. Held health tea Molly brewed. Watched George and now semi-divine Fred being chased by Molly with unremarkable wand. Sipped tea. Looked at blue sky outside—so peaceful.

"This is what you get for hiding things from me!" Molly said angrily. Stomped toward downstairs kitchen while muttering. Every so often, loud sobbing heard.

George and Fred crouched obediently by wall. Even that childhood incident wasn't as terrifying as today's mother.

Arthur shook newspaper. Pushed up reading glasses. "Children, I must say you deserved this. A surprise? You need to go back to school and learn accurate meaning of vocabulary."

"Oh Dad, aren't we on same side? We're almost forty! Why do we still get lectured by Mum like this?" George made face of despair.

Arthur snorted. Flipped newspaper. "Even if you're eighty, your mother is still your mother. You're still our children."

George and Fred shut up. Quietly continued crouching. Wait for Molly to calm down. They were in wrong anyway—no helping it.

Molly prepared huge spread. Made Gemini's dining table groan. Gemini carefully placed plate between dishes. Happily ate Weasley family gathering specialties Molly prepared. Secretly glad she didn't need to watch diet.

George and Fred crouched all afternoon. Seeing Gemini's blissful expression. Continuous aroma entering noses. Couldn't help covering stomachs.

Fred suddenly remembered. "By the way, Mum, didn't Ron say anything when he got back?"

George's eyes lit up. "Right, Mum! He came with Harry. Saw us. Didn't he say anything?"

Molly looked suspiciously. "Are you serious? He really saw you?"

George and Fred nodded frantically. Sorry, Ronnie! Every man for himself! We'll burn paper money for you!

Molly stood. Stomped back to room. Took out family's two-way mirror. Called Ron.

After long while, Ron's drowsy voice responded. Molly changed attitude completely. Asked gently with smile: "Ron, when you came last time—before Gemini got hurt—did you see George and them?"

Ron answered drowsily: "Of course, Mum. We worked together. Yes, I saw them. That's right, Mum."

Molly put away mirror. Looked at two pitiful figures. Sighed. "Come eat! If you hide anything else from me, you'll definitely regret it!"

George and Fred nodded frantically. Rushed to table. Fred's tears about to fall—eating Mum's cooking again. Molly looked lovingly at Fred. Eyes full of tears.

Next day, while Molly recorded Howler, Gemini and twins sat on balcony in identical poses. Listened to Molly's roar while sunbathing. Sighed in unison: "Poor little Ronnie."

After more recuperation, Sun Xiaoxiao visited. Brought Gemini pills. Said for health. Insisted on watching Gemini take them. Pills worked well—Gemini's daily two potions became once weekly. Greatly liberating.

Finally freed from restrictions, Gemini rushed to cellar. Without Banner, All-Purpose Shop's potions depleted for ages. Gemini looked heartbroken at empty potion cabinet. Wished she could dig up dark wizard who banished Banner. Beat him again.

Having elders at home made difference. Even Tony now visited respectfully through front door. Never suddenly landing on windowsills.

Gemini looked at Tony. "Speak up. What is it?"

Tony tapped table. JARVIS projected virtual screen between them. "I named our team—the Guardians! How's that? Guarding Earth's safety—doesn't that sound better than Avengers?!"

Gemini looked at webpage displayed. "Wait, I have a question. Why are you the captain?!"
