"Will I find the truth?"
That question never left Kim.
Since childhood, he had never been harmed. Whenever he was injured or bled, he would find no trace on his body by morning. All he remembered was his mother—sitting beside him at night—and by morning, he would be completely healed.
That was the source of his doubts.
Was his mother an angel?
Was she alive?
Had she died?
Or had she lied to him all along?
While Kim was lost in thought, he suddenly collided with a high-ranking angel who seemed to be searching for something. She nearly fell, so Kim reached out, grabbed her waist, and pulled her toward him.
"Are you hurt?"
She was shocked by his action.
"How dare you touch my pure body?! You are of a lower rank—you'll defile me!"
Kim replied coldly,
"If you had fallen, you would've gotten dirty anyway… I only minimized the damage."
Those around them laughed mockingly.
She shouted arrogantly,
"Do you know who I am?! I'm Lara, an angel of the second rank!"
Kim answered immediately,
"Then you're weak."
The laughter grew louder.
A group of angels arrived, searching for Lara. Silence fell when they stopped behind Kim.
He extended his hand to help her up.
"Don't be upset. The collision was your fault to begin with. A pleasure to meet you… I'm Kim Kardashian Ard."
She stood up, stunned.
"I'm from the Skont family—the lawyers of balance in this world."
But the greater shock came with the arrival of the commander, accompanied by two other angels. She bowed apologetically to Lara.
Kim asked in surprise,
"She's the commander?"
He reached out to shake her hand, but she looked at him with contempt.
"I have no interest in knowing the name of an insect whose death has already been written."
Kim smiled sarcastically.
"This insect… turned out to be stronger than anything you've found."
Suddenly, Lara drew her sword and stabbed him.
It hit him directly… but he didn't move.
She screamed in shock,
"I should've killed you!"
Kim leaned close to her face.
"You didn't. Because your commander didn't tell you everything."
He examined her.
"Small… blond hair."
She snapped angrily,
"I'm a hundred years old!"
He said, shocked,
"You're a child!"
Everyone struggled to suppress their laughter.
Kim said calmly,
"I only want to know one thing… Is my mother here, or not?"
The commander sneered,
"Bastard. Thank the gods for your low life energy—otherwise we would've turned you into a weapon."
Kim froze.
"So… weapons are made from people like this? Only the chosen ones?"
The commander looked at him in shock, then withdrew upward.
---
The next day, Kim sat before them while they searched for samples.
The commander said mockingly,
"Looks like the little one trained well. Can you withstand me again, or are you afraid?"
Those around laughed.
She pulled a staff from the ground and pointed it at him.
"Insect… do you dare to challenge me?"
Kim replied calmly,
"That's what I wanted from the beginning. But if I win… I have a request."
She sneered.
"And if I win? I'll make you a slave, then kill you."
"Agreed. But swear that whatever you see… you won't tell anyone."
Silence fell.
The commander swore. Everyone swore.
Before it began, Kim said,
"I'll use only 25% of my power. Use your full strength."
She didn't care. She reinforced her body, took flight, and unleashed a high-rank spell at insane speed.
The attack struck Kim directly.
She said disdainfully,
"That's what you deserve."
But amid the destruction, his voice spoke:
"This is what I didn't want… the place is too narrow."
He snapped his fingers.
And they were gone.
The world was completely black.
Her body, the ground, the sky—everything was darkness.
She thought she had gone blind, but she saw someone far away… faceless, only white.
Her vision was distorted, thick fog everywhere.
Then she noticed it—two black eyes. A black mouth.
She didn't hear his voice, but she understood the movement of his lips.
"You… are weak."
Her body exploded.
Then she saw an immense light in the sky.
Not a sun… but a massive, burning meteor rushing toward her at terrifying speed.
She thought,
"I will die… without knowing who he is."
That was what she felt.
But in reality, before everyone's eyes, she was flying… then suddenly fell when Kim snapped his fingers.
Kim's skill evolved at a monstrous speed.
And now…
he was capable.
