"Laxus, you signed up for this S-Class Mage Evaluation, right?"
On the way to the guild, Moen casually chatted with Laxus.
"Exactly. Just wait and see. This time I have a hundred percent confidence."
Laxus looked completely confident. His Lightning Dragon Slayer Magic had become increasingly proficient, and over these two years, he had made quite a name for himself, already a very well-known mage in Fairy Tail.
At only seventeen, Laxus Dreyar, once he passed the S-Class Mage Evaluation, would break the record and become the youngest S-Class Mage in the guild's history.
"Good luck! Laxus, if you pass the evaluation early, you can enjoy this honor sooner. Otherwise, after I take the evaluation, this honor definitely won't belong to you anymore."
Moen teased Laxus with a smile.
"You sure talk big. Let's see if you can actually pull it off."
Laxus snorted and didn't take Moen's words seriously.
Makarov, listening to the two of them ahead, slightly lifted the corner of his mouth. At least Laxus still interacted with Moen.
The three of them quickly made their way to Fairy Tail, then triggered the gathering bell in the guild hall. The unique ringing sound "ding-dang" spread out in all directions.
The citizens of Magnolia were a little surprised. They all understood the meaning of this bell. Magnolia had many bells representing different meanings, such as the "Gildarts Mode," and of course, this "gathering bell."
Before long, the members of Fairy Tail in Magnolia all arrived, gathering together in the guild hall.
"What's going on? What happened?"
Macao, picking his nose, asked Wakaba beside him with a confused face.
"How should I know? Stay away from me!"
Wakaba looked disgusted and pushed Macao to the side so the idiot wouldn't smear nose gunk on him.
"Erza is really beautiful~"
Macao didn't resist. His gaze drifted to Erza, and he praised her out loud.
"Tch!"
Wakaba rolled his eyes and moved farther away from this old rival.
"Quiet—!"
Seeing the guild members gossiping below, Makarov jumped onto the bar and shouted to quiet everyone down.
"This gathering is to go and defeat the dark guild Eisenwald."
Makarov didn't bother with suspense and directly stated the objective.
"Eisenwald?"
The guild members were completely stunned. They didn't know about Moen's conflict with Eisenwald, so naturally, they were confused.
"Those bastards actually dared to attack members of Fairy Tail!"
Makarov continued, explaining the reason for the expedition against Eisenwald.
"What?!"
"How dare they?!"
"They're asking for death!"
The moment Makarov gave this reason, it immediately caused an uproar. The guild members below were fired up.
Fairy Tail was a collective. If one person was attacked, it was an insult to the entire guild. No matter who was attacked, no one could tolerate it!
And when they found out the person attacked was Moen, they became even angrier. This was their guild's favorite member. Those Eisenwald people were asking for trouble!
Of course, while angry, everyone also breathed a sigh of relief. At least no one was seriously harmed in the attack.
If it had been any other child or weaker member, they might have been injured by Eisenwald's attack.
But attacking Moen? Those blind fools had kicked a steel plate.
"We must annihilate them!"
Everyone shouted excitedly, morale soaring.
"Alright! Everyone get ready! We depart immediately!"
Seeing everyone's reaction, Makarov was very pleased. This was the guild atmosphere he wanted. This was the united Fairy Tail. Everyone's hearts were together, all could pull in one direction, all could combine their strength.
"Tch, why send so many people?"
Seeing the scene before him, Laxus was dissatisfied. He felt there was absolutely no need to mobilize the entire guild for the expedition.
There were still quite a few weak members in the guild. Even if they went, they wouldn't be much help, and they might even need others to look after them so they wouldn't get hurt.
"This is called cohesion. This is what sets Fairy Tail apart from other guilds. It is a guild full of love."
Moen spoke beside Laxus.
"Fairy Tail doesn't need weaklings. Love cannot make a guild stronger. When I become guild master, I will change Fairy Tail."
Laxus lifted his head, playing the part of the defiant, hard-mouthed type.
"Laxus, if you really become guild master, I advise you not to do that. Believe me, you will regret it."
Moen looked at Laxus and said seriously. He did not believe this chuunibyou rebellious teenager would not regret it once he came to his senses.
"Don't lecture me! Moen, I am the big brother!"
Laxus glared at Moen. This younger brother of his lacked respect for him!
"."
Hearing Laxus's words, Moen was momentarily speechless. "You will regret, big brother," huh?
'Wait a minute, why am I using Danzo's line?'
Moen muttered to himself, shaking his head, and didn't say anything further.
Looking at Laxus, Moen silently made a decision in his heart. Sooner or later, he would switch roles with Laxus.
Then Laxus would say, "You will regret it," while he would respond, "I am the guild master!"
The private exchange between Moen and Laxus did not affect anyone else. Before long, everyone in the guild was ready.
"Next, we will split into two teams. One team will follow me to assault Eisenwald Guild's headquarters, while the other team will stay behind to protect Magnolia."
Looking at the guild members, Makarov spoke. Fairy Tail was, after all, a professional guild, not an army. He could not force everyone into life-or-death combat, and not every mage was skilled in battle.
However, he also could not simply kick a group of people out and say that weak members were unworthy of participating in the assault against a dark guild. That would be too hurtful. Splitting into two teams was therefore very appropriate.
Moreover, these two teams could choose for themselves. Those less skilled in combat could choose to join the defensive team.
Because the assault team had strict limits, for the sake of the larger picture, weaker members who still wanted to join the assault team would naturally have to make way for those recognized as stronger.
In this way, everyone was taken care of: the weak stayed behind, the strong went to the assault team, and those who were left out would be motivated to improve their own strength. One plan achieved multiple goals.
