Chapter 58 - Chapter 58: The Mirajane Strategy Plan, Begins!

In the next few days, Mirajane truly felt the enthusiasm of the Fairy Tail guild.

And that enthusiasm came mainly from that strange girl called Erza.

Walking through the streets of Magnolia, Mirajane suddenly turned around and looked behind her. The red-haired girl who had been following her reacted quickly, jumping to the side to hide.

"…"

Mirajane opened her mouth but said nothing. Her demon arm clenched tightly into a fist.

At that moment, Mirajane suddenly felt that perhaps having this power wasn't so bad after all. At least, it might be useful when she wanted to hit someone.

"What's wrong, Mira-nee?"

Lisanna looked around curiously as well, glancing behind them. She didn't see Erza, so she asked her sister in confusion.

"It's nothing. Let's go."

Mirajane took a deep breath and continued toward the Fairy Tail guild, no longer paying attention to that strange girl.

From the moment she left the dormitory building that morning, that girl had been following her. It had been like this for days — as long as she left the guild hall or the girls' dormitory, Erza would follow her like a stalker!

Several times, Mirajane had nearly confronted that strange girl to ask why she was following her so persistently.

Under normal circumstances, if Erza wanted to follow her, then fine — Mirajane would ignore her. But what truly made Mirajane anxious was that she had already made up her mind to leave Fairy Tail. And because of Erza, she couldn't find an opportunity.

Mirajane wanted to leave quietly. She couldn't disappear without a trace, but at the very least she couldn't let Lisanna and Elfman find out.

But with Erza glued to her side every second, Mirajane was incredibly troubled. If that girl discovered she planned to leave Fairy Tail, Erza would definitely tell Lisanna and Elfman.

There was no doubt about it. Lisanna and Elfman had already integrated into the guild so well, and they got along with Erza quite nicely too.

Looks like I have to talk to her.

Mirajane thought to herself. If she didn't, then with how closely Erza watched her, she could forget about ever slipping away from Fairy Tail in this lifetime!

Bringing Lisanna to the guild, the two met up with Elfman. Mirajane then handed Lisanna and Elfman over to Moen, today was another day of magic lessons.

Looking at Moen's bright, sunny smile, Mirajane pressed her lips together. He should be able to take good care of Lisanna and Elfman… right?

"Mira, what's wrong? Do I have something on my face?"

Moen touched his cheek and asked. Mirajane had been staring at his face nonstop, leaving him a bit embarrassed.

Normally, this girl didn't even lift her head to look at people. Now she was staring at him without blinking, of course Moen felt something was wrong, and he immediately sensed it.

Is Mira about to leave?

Moen looked at Mirajane and could already read the intention to go on her face.

Mirajane snapped out of it. Her face immediately flushed red. She had realized her stare had been rather dazed.

"No… nothing."

Her cheeks red, Mirajane replied softly, then spun around and quickly walked away, leaving the guild hall in one breath.

"Brother Moen…"

Lisanna and Elfman exchanged a glance, then looked toward Moen. Even they could tell something was off.

"Looks like we can't delay anymore. You two need to make your move."

Moen withdrew his gaze from where Mirajane had left and smiled at Lisanna and Elfman. Fortunately, the two siblings had worked hard enough — they could finally be of use.

Lisanna had successfully Taken Over "Animal Soul: Cat." The difficulty was low, and she had already completed a full Take Over, allowing her to transform directly into a "cat girl."

Elfman had Taken Over "Animal Soul: Black Bear." His combat power was stronger and the difficulty higher. He couldn't manage a full Take Over yet, so he had only mastered "Beast Arm: Black Bear," transforming his arm into a black bear's arm.

It's already enough.

Moen was confident. He believed his plan could be perfectly completed.

"What should we do, Brother Moen?"

Elfman was excited, but he didn't act on his own. Instead, he continued asking Moen. After nearly a month of lessons, seeking Moen's guidance had become a habit.

Elfman's question made Moen laugh. Even this needed to be asked? He couldn't possibly coach them on every line word for word.

"At this point, don't ask me. Go after her and say your true feelings. Tell your sister what you've been wanting to say. She'll definitely be moved by your sincerity."

Looking at the two siblings, Moen encouraged them sincerely. Everything had already been set in place. At a moment like this, nothing more was needed — just show their hearts.

"Yes! Brother Moen, we'll do our best!"

Lisanna and Elfman exchanged a look, encouraged each other, and then ran off together to chase after Mirajane.

Moen wasn't worried they wouldn't catch up. Because right after Mirajane left, Erza had taken off after her as well.

At this moment, Erza has probably already stopped Mira, right?

Moen didn't follow. He had already done everything he could. The rest was up to Erza, Elfman, and Lisanna.

If things worked, perfect. If they didn't… then even if Moen followed, it wouldn't change anything. Some things simply couldn't be forced.

On the street, Mirajane walked slowly and turned back. The Fairy Tail guild hall shone under the sunlight.

"What a wonderful guild… Elfman and Lisanna will definitely live well here. They don't need me anymore…"

Mirajane murmured. After living here for a month, she had already grown fond of the Fairy Tail.

Even though she had always remained somewhat distant, she could still feel the warm, family-like atmosphere. Seeing the changes in her younger siblings, she was certain this was the perfect place for them.

"Magic… demons… this kind of power… I never wanted it! At this point, I'm not even human anymore, right? Being hated by humans is only natural…"

Withdrawing her gaze from the guild hall, Mirajane's attention returned to herself. The insults and disgust she had suffered because of her demonic power washed over her again, and her resolve to leave grew even stronger.

"Mirajane! Stop!"

Seeing Mirajane like this, Erza finally gave up hiding. She stepped out and quickly blocked Mirajane's path.

"What about this power? It can protect your family — so why throw it away? Or are you saying it will control you?"

Looking at Mirajane, Erza asked with a serious expression.

Erza couldn't understand. Why would Mirajane, who used her power to protect her family, want to abandon her own strength?

To have power to protect everything you want to protect…

Wasn't that a good thing?

"So why do you insist on meddling in my business?!"

Mirajane lifted her head and glared at Erza, voicing all the questions she had suppressed these past days. She wasn't even close with this girl at all!
