We walked to the staff cafeteria and everyone was just staring at me
Linomtha: "Why are people looking at me like that?"
Raise: "Ow because your new girl" she then did this dramatic act
We got pies and cans of coke and went to sit down and some lady came to sit with us
Lady: "Raise so your friends with the boss favourite"
Raise: "Am friends with anybody wena ska mphaphela neketla hophoxanou nou" (Don't be too forward with me I will humiliate you now)
She didn't look taken back by her statement. It was so obvious Raise was the drama queen and everybody's favourite in the office, and even when she was telling them where to get off they never took her seriously. Her statement made me raise my eyebrows but I didn't show that I was curious what she was on about. She got up and left before feeding my curiosity.
Linomtha: "What was that all about"
Raise: "Haisalt, she just talks without thinking. She needs to get laid" we laughed
Raise: "And wena hai you look like you aren't getting laid too? Am I wrong?"
Linomtha: ok not only was she a drama queen but she was also a good judge of character. "I am a virgin" I said it so proudly

Linomtha: "Yes"

Linomtha: I nodded. This lady is way too forward, total opposite yaka but I was just so fond of her and I wondered why because I don't like girls like her who are too bubbly
Raise: "Keya phaphane but I am not judgemental nunu and don't let what people say about you get to you. You're not here for people you're here for work ok" ok I didn't understand why she was telling me that now "When are we going shopping? Nunu you need a makeover"
Linomtha: "Not you again, even Ma this morning was telling me the same thing. I just need more clothes but I am defiantly not changing my look. I love the way I look and I am too comfortable like this. I don't want di Brazilian hair, I don't want makeup, I don't want designer clothes, high heels, no tight clothes haino that's not my style
Raise: "Ow I see your style nunu and I will take you to the right shop. Ow I can't wait to go shopping with you"
We finished lunch and left. She got behind her desk and I told her I'll see her after work. I then got inside the elevator. I realised that I forgot my phone in her bag and I pressed underground to go and fetch it. When I got there she was with some girl and they were busy talking.
Raise was busy typing and not looking up and girl was talking. I wanted to just get my phone and leave but what that girl was saying made me just stand still and not interrupt
Girl: "Yes Raise I am telling you, the entire building is talking about this ugly rural girl. She is the boss favourite. Have you ever seen any of the newly appointed attorney's been mentored by the boss? She is even sharing an office with him and she was given a very big case Bra Moss stepped down from that case of the Limpopo Dr who raped a years old girl and gave it to her.
Girl: "Can you believe it Raise? Newly appointed attorneys never work on big cases, it has never ever happened. People are still trying to find out what is the big deal between ugly rural girl and Bra Moss"
Raise: she was still typing and didn't look so interested with what the lady was saying
