That one sentence had the Crown Prince withdraw his arm, and place it by his side. He watched her for a while and noticed the tears in her eyes. He scrunched his brows, and brought his finger to lift up her face. And he said to her in a very serious tone.
"I would never hurt you, my little fox."
The young witch froze. Her mind ran a thousand miles as she tried processing what he just said. The use of the word 'my' didn't go unnoticed by her, and she wondered what he meant by that. Why would he call her his? She wasn't a property he could claim. Her lips parted to speak, but he didn't give her a chance to. He left her side, and went to pick up the books from the table. He went back to her and placed them in her arm. Without a word, he started to walk toward the door, but paused, looking back at her when he was at the end.
