Dane's POV
Ahh, I'm exhausted. I quickly change out of my club uniform and step out of the staff room. The morning sun shines over the sea, glittering like gold dust. I take a deep breath — the club is empty now, only a few staff cleaning up after another long night.
I stretch my arms. Working all night — making drinks, smiling, flirting — it's harder than people think.
Shine swings her bag over her shoulder and waves. "See you tonight, Night. Bye!"
"Wait!" I call, walking up to her. I pull an envelope from my pocket and hand it to her.
She frowns, confused, then opens it. "Night… again?"
"Take it," I say with a grin. "I insist."
Her eyes soften. "Thank you."
I know her mom's still in the hospital — she works so hard every night just to help her.
Aunt Jaonan walks over, hands on her hips. "Dane, you gave her money again, didn't you?"
I smile innocently. "Last night I got a huge tip, Aunt."
