Dane's POV ___
The morning light spills softly through the white curtains, brushing my skin with its gentle warmth. The sound of the sea outside is calm and rhythmic — waves whispering against the shore like an old lullaby. I open my eyes slowly, blinking against the golden glow that fills the room.
Dream is curled against my chest, his tiny hand resting over my heart as if he's guarding it. His breathing is steady and quiet, his lips parted in peaceful sleep. The scent of his baby shampoo and the salt of the sea mix in the air — a fragrance that feels like home.
A smile tugs at the corner of my lips. "My little angel," I whisper softly, brushing my fingers through his hair. I trace the soft curve of his cheek, careful not to wake him. But then I feel something else — a steady breath against the back of my neck. Warm. Familiar.
And an arm around my waist.
My body freezes. That warmth… that touch… there's only one person it could be.
