I woke up to a strange sight. I was on my bed, in my room, under my duvet with a bottle of painkillers on my bedside table and a note reading;
'I hope you're better by the time you wake up. I'll come visiting later today to see you.'
I frowned. "Who the hell is this? And why am I in my room when I could remember fainting at the door last night?"
I slowly rose to my feet, wincing against the searing headache at the back of my skull. My throat felt dry, my lips were chapped, so I quickly made my way downstairs to the kitchen.
However, I had just helped myself to a glass of water when suddenly, strange images began to flash across my mind like pages from a destroyed book. Images of things I'd seen, things I'd done… but I couldn't remember doing any of those.
