I know that I should avoid the triplets like a plague, but for some reason, I could not. Not when they were in my literal hair like lice. Not when they were hovering around me like smoke, and especially not when I could I feel them… their eyes boring in my skin… and their featherlight touches brushing over my skin like a lustful caress whenever they passed by me.
It was intentional. That I was sure of. I was also quite sure that all of what they did was in an attempt to get me to react strongly to their theatrics.
I buried my face into the laptop in front of me as I tried for several hours to fix the bug problem that Kael had asked— no, begged— me to, and after what felt like forever, like an eternity of breathing through my lips because my nostrils had long stopped working, due to how flustered I was, I finally lifted my head, met his gaze and said;
