Chapter 80 - Chapter 80 DLC Godseeker

The Godseeker, dwelling in the sewers, whispered a prayer.

"Gods of Hallownest, reveal your might, so that we may ascend…",

"Wait! This feeling!"

In his dream, Godhome shook violently, and the intense upheaval caused the Godseeker to faint.

Two new gods appeared at the end of the Pantheon.

And a powerful challenger, also a god, arrived at Godhome.

The Little Knight's figure appeared in a golden world.

He came for the Void.

Simon balanced light and dark, but it was foreseeable that the power of light would overwhelm the Void.

The Little Knight had to step forward and further elevate his status to ensure the safety of the Void world.

The Godseeker sensed the Little Knight's arrival and quickly presented a dream message, its content extremely fawning.

"Most holy, most extraordinary. Oh, God of Gods! You have returned to this place, to test yourself against the lesser gods attuned by our minds.

Please allow us, humble and powerless insects, to prostrate ourselves before your glory. We offer everything to glimpse your power!"

The Little Knight touched his mask, having not experienced a real body for a long time, and felt a touch of nostalgia.

He walked slowly on the dark golden path, thick golden leaden clouds supporting Godhome like a sea, with elegant, classical architecture appearing indistinctly in the dreamlike scenery.

Swarms of insects wearing golden masks sat calmly on the edge of the platform, their gazes piercing through their eyeholes, staring deeply at the Little Knight.

They were all the Godseeker's kin, a group of insects abandoned by the thunder and rain gods they worshipped.

They would pay any price for a new faith.

The Little Knight paid them no mind; it was meaningless.

He arrived at the first temple.

— The Pantheon of the Master, to fight for the God of Nail and Shell.

The Little Knight could suppress his strength through Godhome's rules, including his Vessel, life, Nail, and Charms. If fully bound, his power would be no different from when he was first born, relying only on his peak combat skills.

But the Little Knight had no desire for entertainment; he only wanted to complete his mission as quickly as possible, so he did not lock away any of his abilities.

The Pantheon of the Master was easily cleared by him; there were no memorable opponents.

Next up:

— The Pantheon of the Artist, to fight for the God of Creativity.

— The Pantheon of the Sage, to fight for the God of Wealth and Power.

— The Pantheon of the Knight, to fight for the Pure God.

By this point, almost all the powerful opponents in Hallownest had been fought.

The more impressive enemies included — the madly releasing Miss, the dung-flipping God of Fungi, the noise-polluting Collector, the still-weak Big Cousin, the Master with the Great Nail, the revived Little Grimm, and finally, the dashing Pure Vessel.

As for the other enemies, the Little Knight couldn't even be bothered.

The last temple was the ultimate temple; as long as he cleared this Pantheon of Hallownest, the Little Knight would ascend, and the power of the Void would surge.

To clear this temple, he had to fight all the previous enemies again, plus Dream Zote — the Grey Prince.

The continuous high-intensity battles even put the Little Knight in perilous situations; after all, he was currently just a Vessel, not the Hollow Knight who was one with the Void, slaying gods as he pleased.

After defeating the Pure Vessel again, golden light streamed down from the hall's dome.

The Little Knight was led into The Radiance's dream.

The Radiance in Godhome was even more powerful, truly the Absolute Radiance!

The Little Knight was undaunted; he was also stronger now. If he could kill The Radiance once, he could kill her a second time.

But the changes in this battle were not limited to that.

The distant clouds parted, and a Crystal Peak rose, its deep eyes overlooking the world.

Seeing this, the Little Knight drew a hilt from his waist; flames erupted, and it was the Dream Nail!

He abruptly plunged the Dream Nail's blade into himself.

A surging black tide erupted from his small body.

Darkness descended!

Just like that year, black mist obscured the dome, and all light was swallowed.

The Radiance's divine body dimmed.

Lie Guang's crystal throne began to flicker steadily.

An eyeball shot a laser, pouring into the majestic halo behind The Radiance.

Dream message displayed!

"I! Do! Not! Fear! You!"

"Just like that year! Brother!"

Boom!

Blinding light burst forth!

The Little Knight was victorious.

He felt his power rapidly ascending; the Godseeker's ascension ritual continuously strengthened his power, transferring the divinity of all the gods he had defeated into his body.

Now, just a little, just the last bit remained.

The final battle.

In a dense jungle, the Little Knight appeared.

It seemed he had left the confines of Godhome; the Godseeker, who had been observing the battle from the throne, was gone.

Tall, lush trees were everywhere; the Little Knight had never seen such scenery.

The sky was pure white, shimmering with the faint light of souls, and in the dense forest, light could not penetrate the canopy, so it appeared very gloomy, and the humid air made it exceptionally cold.

The cracked bark of trees, wide enough for ten people to embrace, was covered in thick moss, and sturdy vines twisted and coiled around the trunks. Some exceptionally strong vines grew onto many nearby trees, like branches, with hanging moss resembling emerald green curtains.

Tree roots undulated, buried in the thick humus on the surface. A traveler might trip, and the Little Knight, of course, didn't know that tree roots grew above ground. He stumbled, falling face down, leaves scattering and sticking to his mask.

He lay there, stunned, unwilling to get up.

The smell of earth, the odor of fermentation, mingled together, along with a faint, fresh scent of plants.

The gurgling of water caught his attention. The Little Knight got up and walked unsteadily through the forest. He came to a small river flowing through the dense woods; the stream was as clear as air, the ripples on the surface reflecting the sky's light, shimmering. The riverbed was paved with smooth, round pebbles, and the water's sheen was more captivating than jewels.

The rustling sound of falling leaves arose, and the Little Knight suddenly turned his head; a familiar figure flashed between the trees.

That round back — it was the Maintenance Grub!

He hurriedly gave chase, but Simon's movements were elusive. Soon, the Little Knight realized he had lost him. He had never pursued anyone in a dense forest and, of course, didn't know how to track the faint traces left among the leaves and flowers.

The sky revolved; the white-glowing hemisphere descended, and the dark hemisphere rose.

It was night. The Little Knight took out his lantern; in the distance, a large, tower-shaped building glowed faintly red.

He arrived at the building with difficulty, only to find it was an extinguished bonfire.

Wood stacked in a crisscross pattern accumulated, truly resembling a majestic tall tower.

He walked through the gaps in the wood into the empty interior.

On a solitary stone platform, a Charm rested. The Little Knight walked over and picked it up.

grimmchild.

He had fought Grimm in the Pantheon and remembered this elegant enemy vividly.

As for the Charm, once it was in his hands, it was his.

The bonfire vibrated, collapsing, sinking into the ground and disappearing like an island swallowed by the sea.

The Little Knight felt somewhat bewildered.

He jumped onto a large tree, scanning his surroundings.

It was pitch black; the night forest clawed at him like demons and monsters.

He looked up; in the ink-stained sky, there was a lone star.

That star was like an eye; when the Little Knight looked at it, it also saw the Little Knight.

The lone star flickered.

A beam of starlight shot down.

The Little Knight raised his Nail, but before he could make any other move, he was struck.

His vision was filled with light.

When the white light receded, the Little Knight was back in Godhome.

Challenge failed.
