Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Just a Person to Be Used..

I ran frantically down the hallway, my heart pounding like a drum, my mind a jumble of thoughts filled with nothing but shame and panic.

"I… I… actually kissed him?!"

My whole body trembled, I wanted to disappear into the ground. I slammed the door shut, slid to the floor, covered my face with my hands, muttering silently:

"Damn… damn… damn!"

A thousand "damn"s wouldn't be enough to describe this agonizing, embarrassing feeling. I went to bed and flopped down, burying my face in the pillow, sobbing:

"What do I do now… I just kissed him… I lost him! He won't hit me because of this, will he?"

I tossed and turned in bed, my heart racing, my head spinning. The more I thought about it, the more embarrassed and panicked I became. I pulled the pillow over my head, but then pulled it out, my hands and feet flailing:

"It wasn't intentional… it wasn't intentional! But… what if he thinks I did it on purpose?!"

I bit my lip tightly, my heart pounding in my chest. I wondered:

"Will he avoid me later… or… laugh at me?"

The panic made me bury my face in the pillow, muttering like I was losing my mind:

"It was just an accident… just an accident… but… why is everything so vivid… my brain is on fire… really on fire…"

The image of Kình Uyên, his stunned eyes, the breathtaking closeness, the kiss… kept replaying in my head. His breath, his lips, his heartbeat… everything made me so panicked that I wanted to scream but didn't dare.

At the same time, in Kình Uyên's room.

He stood still, frozen for a few seconds. Then, a faint, fleeting smile curved his lips, carrying a hint of… malice…

"I didn't expect… that kid to take advantage first." He muttered.

He gently touched his lips, recalling the lingering taste of the kiss, then his expression immediately darkened. The smile vanished, his eyes turned icy, and an oppressive aura filled the room.

He walked slowly to the table, picked up the phone, each word spoken calmly but filled with murderous intent:

"Investigate someone for me… Jiang Yu Chen."

The other end of the phone paused, then quickly replied:

"Understood, young master. I will send the results as soon as possible."

Jing Yuan nodded, hung up, stood silently for a few seconds, his eyes sharp as knives:

"If there's anything, come inside and talk. What are you doing standing outside?"

The door creaked open, and Shen Yan Xue, his trusted maid, entered and knelt down:

"Young master, I have completed the task you assigned me."

He leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers rhythmically on the armrest, his voice low:

"Hmm… you did well."

Just one sentence, but it filled Shen Yanxue with a mixture of fear and joy, as if she were teetering on the edge between praise and pressure.

She suddenly remembered something and was about to say:

"Oh, right, young master, about the Gu family…"

Before she could finish, Jing Yuan interrupted, his voice low but leaving no room for argument:

"Don't interfere in this. I have my own plans."

He thought to himself: "After all, she's just…a useful tool…"

Shen Yanxue guessed part of it, but could only nod.

The next morning, in my room.

After a sleepless night due to the "accidental kiss," I was almost completely awake. My eyes were dark circles like a panda's, and my mind was hazy.

While curled up in bed, I heard a knock on the door:

"Young master, it's time to get up." Jing Yuan's voice was low and even.

I lazily mumbled a response, my voice hoarse:

"Mm… let me sleep a little longer…"

But before I could move, the door opened. Jing Yuan entered, his voice calm:

"Excuse me, I'll come in."

Before I could open my eyes, I felt someone standing very close.

He looked at me silently, his demeanor that of a cold young master, yet slightly disheveled like a tired kitten, his hair messy, his collar askew revealing his pale skin. His gaze unconsciously slid down my neck, my collarbone, then turned away.

He leaned close to my ear, his breath brushing against it:

"Young master…"

I jumped up, my face flushed red, and instinctively hit him with a pillow:

"Hey! Who gave you permission to lean so close to my ear?!"

Kinh Uyên remained expressionless, his deep gaze fixed on me as he moved his knee away:

"I only…wanted to wake the young master up…why are you reacting so strongly?"

I stammered, trying to find an excuse, my voice growing softer and softer, almost a whisper: "Who told you... you just said... you said it right in my ear..."

Kình Uyên tilted his head slightly as if deep in thought, then while I was watching, he subtly smirked and said, "I didn't expect you to get so worked up just from me... unlike me yesterday when someone forcibly kissed me." Kình Uyên spoke while giving me a deep, intense look, as if observing my reaction...

My eyes widened at Kình Uyên's words, and I immediately retorted, my ears turning bright red, my voice stammering slightly:

"It... it was my carelessness... it wasn't intentional, no... you can't call it me forcibly kissing you..."

Kình Uyên sat down on the edge of the bed, propped his chin on his hand, and looked at me with sharp eyes:

"Well, I didn't say you did it intentionally. But your reaction now... makes me suspicious."

I stood frozen, knowing he was teasing, and, overcome with shame and anger, I retorted:

"You...you bastard!" He smirked slightly, raising his hand to signal me to stop:

"Alright, I won't say anything more."

Then, standing up, he walked towards me, much to my astonishment, and whispered in my ear: "But...if there's a next time, I won't let it just be an 'accident'...young master."
