Chapter 29 - Chapter 30 Family???

Cassandra's POV.

I sat on my bed the next morning, reflecting on what had transpired at my birthday party.

I asked myself several times if I had been wrong for slapping Xander.

I faintly heard a knock on my door, which pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Who is it? Come in" I said, and I regretted it immediately. It was Xander.

"Why are you here?" I asked, clearly annoyed.

"I came to give you…"

"Put it on the table," I said, interrupting him.

"I am really sorry, Cassie I should not have…"

"But you did," I said, interrupting him again.

"Please, Cassie, forgive me," he said, holding onto my hands.

"Why? Why did you say those things?" I asked, pulling away from him.

"I was angry, but that does not excuse my actions. What I did was terrible."

"Why were you angry?" I asked, interrupting him.

"You were flirting with Jess, you say you love me, so why did you flirt with another guy?" he asked, and I was completely shocked.

"You were jealous?", I asked after a brief silence.

"No, no, I wasn't," he said, running his hands through his hair.

I drew nearer to him and pressed my lips upon his. I smiled when I saw how surprised he looked.

"Were you jealous?" I asked again, and he pressed his lips unto mine.

"Yes, Cassie, I was so jealous," he said in a whisper.

I turned to walk away, but he hugged me from behind and kissed my neck.

"Damn! This is really happening," I said to myself and turned around to face him.

I touched his face and brushed my finger on his lips gently.

"What are you doing to me, Cassie?" he asked in a whisper and my heart skipped a beat.

I looked at him and he kissed me passionately.

I helped him take off his shirt and pushed him onto the bed.

In a short period I was already half naked, he knew exactly what he was doing.

But then he stopped all of a sudden and took his shirt.

"Why, what happened?" I asked, holding his hands.

"I have to leave, this was a mistake. I'm very sorry," he said and walked out.

I could not believe what just happened. I fell onto my bed and screamed out of agony.

I could not control my tears. "I hate you, Xander."

Xander's POV.

I shut the door behind me and wore my shirt.

"What just happened? Why did I quicken to kiss her?" I asked myself, and rushed outside.

I stopped a taxi and went home, when I arrived, I saw my dad sitting in the living room.

"Why are you here?" I asked angrily.

"Your mother called for me," he replied.

"Oh, good, you're back," my mom said, coming out of the kitchen.

"Why is he here, Mom?" I asked my mom.

"Sit down, we have to talk as a family," she said, placing the glass of juice she was holding on the table.

I burst out into laughter, "Family?" I asked, still laughing.

"Please, just sit and listen to what I have to say," my mom said, and I did as she said.

"I do not want to divorce you," she said, looking at my dad.

"I want us to be a family again. I will give you what you want," she added.

"Are you talking about the company?" my dad asked, looking confused.

"Yes, I will hand it over to you. But first, you have to give us your word. You won't abuse us in any way," my mom said.

"Done, no abuse," my Dad said, smiling like a fool.

"You have to also move in," my mother added, and my father nodded in agreement.

"I will move out if he moves in," I said, and they all looked at me intently.

My mother jeered, "No!"

"Yes! Yes!!" I yelled angrily.

"This man tried to murder me, he attempted to take my life and incase you've been brain washed. He tried to murder you too!," I declared.

"You framed me for murder," my father said.

"Oh, please! That was just after you tried to kill my mother and me, you wretch," I said furiously.

"Watch your tongue, boy," my father said, drawing closer to me.

"Or what? What would you do? kill me again?" I asked him.

"Please, you guys should stop! We have to be on the same page here," my mother yelled.

I looked at my mother angrily and walked out of the house. I heard her screaming my name, but I did not heed her.

I pulled out my phone and called Romeo, but his phone was switched off. I called Lucille, but she was not answering.

I scrolled up and saw Cassandra's number, wiped the tears from my face, and asked myself, "Should I call her?"
