Chapter 87 - Ch.87

A black shadow rapidly formed in front of Luo Guang. Upon closer inspection, it took the distinct shape of a dragon's tail. Its movement followed Luo Guang's will; he could execute any complex maneuver he desired. It could be used for large-scale sweeping attacks or for delicate, precise strikes, like a surgical knife.

Did he gain the ability to control shadows after defeating Rahu?

One unfamiliar with the mythology might think the two had no connection. However, in mythology, Rahu is the entity that swallows the sun and moon, causing solar and lunar eclipses. Both phenomena create deep, black shadows. The dragon's tail originated from another Rahu legend: He is an Asura (demon) in ancient Hindu mythology, the guardian of the southwest, with four arms and a serpentine lower body. In many myths, a serpentine tail is synonymous with a dragon's tail.

Using shadows to attack? What kind of Dragon Remnant is this?

Luo Guang could also tell that this Authority had not been fully developed. Beyond manipulating shadows, there were certainly other hidden effects that required experimentation.

Compared to Rahu's Authority, the Authority usurped from Vishnu was even more mysterious. Luo Guang knew he had drawn an Authority capable of rivaling Verethragna's: the Ten Incarnations (Dashavatara). The Authority stolen from Vishnu was also the Ten Incarnations. However, its specific effects could only be determined by using it in actual combat.

After eating and drinking, Luo Guang wanted to take a bath to wash away his fatigue. Naturally, he tossed Draig into the Spirit Dimension for this process.

The sorcerers guarding the door immediately and respectfully led Luo Guang to a grand, enormous bathroom. Inside, several shapely and beautiful maidens in revealing clothing were already waiting. Luo Guang did not reject this small token of deference from the local authorities, but he did not engage with these ordinary girls. He wasn't averse, but he had strict requirements for his partners. He simply kept them to help himself and Est bathe and to assist with dressing.

While Luo Guang and Est were enjoying the hot bath, the news of the seventh Campione's birth was spreading not only throughout India's magical community but also across Europe, thanks to Liliana's report to the Bronze Black Cross.

"Unbelievable! Simply unbelievable."

"I never thought the seventh Campione would be born at a time like this!"

"Does anyone know if this is real or just a rumor?"

"Uncertain, but the news of the new King is coming from within India. Those 'three-eyed' people love to boast, knowing a little about everything but mastering nothing, and they love to claim things that don't exist or Photoshop other people's achievements to be their own."

"So, it must be fake?"

In all the magical societies across the globe that received the news, high-ranking officials gathered to discuss the matter relentlessly. Their caution was warranted because a Campione is a Demon King, a moving natural disaster, an absolute sovereign who must never be defied. These were the absolute truths of the world, summarized by those who had previously challenged a Campione and died.

"Not necessarily. Just a short while ago, our sorcerers felt violent Cursed Power fluctuations in New Delhi, the capital of India."

"And the internet is now flooded with news of the disaster in New Delhi."

A video was projected onto a large screen. The video showed New Delhi suffering severe damage, as if it had simultaneously experienced three natural disasters: a heavy rainstorm, an earthquake, and a typhoon. Although the footage didn't capture any suspicious images, the sorcerers could guess what had happened from the extent of the structural damage. Unconquered Gods are invisible; technology-based cameras cannot film their presence. But combining all the information about the events that transpired in New Delhi, only a fool couldn't figure out the cause.

Better safe than sorry. The major magical societies mobilized to use various channels to investigate the true identity of the new King. After several hours of searching, they still had no concrete progress.

However, they did obtain crucial related intelligence. For instance, there were two Unconquered Gods who had appeared in New Delhi. One was suspected to be the evil god Rahu, awakened by cultists, and the other was Vishnu, one of the Trimurti, who had been sealed by local sorcerers centuries ago at great cost. The two Unconquered Gods clashed initially before both mysteriously vanished. New Delhi's magical society was in an absolute frenzy over the loss of Vishnu.

Thus, many speculated that the newly born seventh Campione had slain two Unconquered Gods simultaneously on the battlefield in New Delhi. Due to the numerous forms and brilliant achievements of both Rahu and Vishnu, the new King's Authorities were currently impossible to guess.

While half of the world's magical societies were scrambling to investigate Luo Guang, he was aboard a chartered flight that had taken off from the New Delhi airport and was headed directly to the airport on Sardinia, Italy. The flight was scheduled to last about ten hours. The only people on the plane, besides the necessary flight crew, were Luo Guang, Est, and Liliana.

Most of the New Delhi sorcerers were deeply grateful for Luo Guang's departure, though a few expressed regret. They hadn't even had the chance to pledge their allegiance before hearing the news that the new King was heading to Sardinia.

Liliana was communicating with the headquarters of the Bronze Black Cross. After hanging up, the girl looked astonished. Luo Guang's words had actually come true. Soon after she left Italy, news had spread that God Beasts were spotted near Sardinia. The nearby magical societies were in an uproar, sending many people to the island to investigate. However, they hadn't been able to figure anything out in the short time since. Liliana relayed this news while informing Luo Guang about the Italian magical world.

Luo Guang frowned slightly upon hearing it. It seemed his decision was the right one. If he had dallied any longer in New Delhi, he might have missed out on the two waiting Unconquered Gods.
