"Who are you guys?" Spider-Man blurted, his voice strained.
Hawkeye grinned, nocking another arrow, the tip glowing with an eerie energy. "Name's Hawkeye, and the hot redhead is Black Widow. Were friends. For now."
Black Widow dodged a swipe from VirusGoblin, her movements fluid and economical. "He's got some serious anger issues, doesn't he, Clint?" she quipped, rolling under a sweeping punch.
Hawkeye loosed an arrow that sizzled with electricity, narrowly missing VirusGoblin's head. "Tell me about it, Nat. Guess he's not a fan of surprise parties."
VirusGoblin roared, a sound of pure rage, and slammed his fist into the roadway, cracking the concrete. Black Widow saw her opening. "Let's give him something to really be mad about," she said, her voice a low growl. Hawkeye nodded, drawing another arrow.
VirusGoblin, momentarily stunned by the new arrivals, roared in frustration. He swatted at Black Widow, each swipe a desperate attempt to crush the annoying insect. But Black Widow was too quick, dancing around his blows, her movements too fast for his corrupted senses to track.
Spider-Man watched Black Widow's assault. It was a ballet of death, a mesmerizing display of precision and speed. He realized they needed to press their advantage.
Renewed determination ignited within Spider-Man, Gwen, Kyubimon, Greymon, Garurumon, MailBirdramon, and Ballistamon. They would not be deterred.
Greymon charged, his orange scales gleaming under the bridge lights. He bellowed a challenge, and with a surge of power, unleashed Nova Blast. The fiery projectile hurtled toward VirusGoblin.
VirusGoblin, distracted by Black Widow's relentless assault, took the blast head-on. The energy ripped through the already damaged armor. A searing wound across his chest.
"Garurumon, now!" Spider-Man yelled.
Garurumon, taking the cue, channeled icy energy into his lungs. He unleashed Fox Fire, a stream of spectral blue flames that washed over VirusGoblin. The combination of fire and ice created a volatile cocktail, further weakening the monster's defenses.
MailBirdramon swooped down, its metal wings beating the air into a frenzy. From its mouth, it launched a volley of Plasma Cannon fire. Each shot a concentrated pulse of energy. The blasts impacted VirusGoblin's limbs, threatening to cripple him.
Ballistamon, though hobbled, refused to be sidelined. Focusing his remaining strength, he unleashed Heavy Speaker, directing the sonic waves toward VirusGoblin's head. The vibrations intensified, causing the monster to clutch at its skull in agony.
Kyubimon, now beside Gwen, unleashed a series of Onibidama. The foxfire orbs weaved through the chaos. Each explosion a burst of mystical energy.
VirusGoblin, assailed from all sides, staggered. His movements became sluggish. Black Widow, sensing an opening, pressed her attack. With blinding speed, she executed a series of precise strikes. Knuckle jabs at his temple. A kick to his knee.
Hawkeye, positioned on a nearby girder, acted as a sniper. He drew back the string of his bow, and let fly a specialized arrow. The tip glowed with an eerie green light, arcing through the air. Thwack. It impacted VirusGoblin's exposed shoulder. The arrow exploded in a tangle of electrified cables that wrapped around his arm, short-circuiting the armor.
"RRRRAAAGGH!" VirusGoblin screamed as the electric current coursed through his body.
Taking advantage, Black Widow sprang forward, her hands flashing. She struck a series of nerve clusters with surgical precision. Her movements a blur. Her years of training honed to a razor's edge. She was a whirlwind of controlled fury.
"Now, Spider!" Hawkeye shouted, and released a barrage of specialized arrows at VirusGoblin's feet. As the arrows hit the ground, they expanded and ejected an industrial-strength adhesive foam.
THOOM!
The Goblin stumbled around, his legs stuck, and now was vulnerable.
With a surge of adrenaline, Spider-Man unleashed a volley of webbing, encasing VirusGoblin's limbs in thick, sticky strands. VirusGoblin was trapped.
But VirusGoblin was far from defeated. With a guttural roar that echoed across the bridge, he strained against the webbing, muscles bulging. The strands snapped, one by one, until he stood free, a hulking figure of rage.
VirusGoblin unleashed a shockwave of Goblin Fire, a searing blast that sent everyone reeling. Black Widow, Spider-Man, and even the Digimon were thrown back.
Hawkeye, ever the sardonic observer, landed hard against a pylon. "Okay, that's just rude," he quipped, dusting himself off. "Anyone got a Plan B? Because I'm pretty sure we can't just keep hitting him until he gets tired."
Spider-Man, still dazed, scrambled to his feet. He looked toward Hawkeye. "I do, actually. I have a cure—a synthesized antidote to the Goblin Serum."
"A cure?" Hawkeye raised an eyebrow. "And you didn't mention this earlier? Seriously, kid?"
Spider-Man replied, "It's untested. And I needed a clear shot."
Hawkeye grinned, a glint of something akin to excitement in his eyes. "Well, now's your chance. Give me the juice, web-head. I'll thread the needle."
Spider-Man pulled a small vial from his web pouch. He carefully handed it to Hawkeye, his expression a mixture of hope and trepidation. "Be careful with that. It's all we've got."
Hawkeye examined the vial, then deftly attached it to a specialized arrow. He secured it with practiced movements. "Don't worry, kid. I never miss." He winked, then took aim, his gaze fixed on VirusGoblin.
VirusGoblin roars, a guttural sound of pure fury, as Spider-Man dances around him, a constant stream of quips peppering the air.
"Seriously, man, you need to relax," Spider-Man chirped, dodging a wild swing that would have leveled a building. "You're gonna give yourself an aneurysm. Or worse, wrinkle that lovely green skin."
VirusGoblin's eyes narrowed, the red pupils burning with hatred. He swiped at Spider-Man again, a blur of motion. Spider-Man ducked, the wind from the blow whipping his mask. He spun around, landing a swift kick to VirusGoblin's chest, the impact barely fazing the monstrous form.
"Oh, come on! That's all you got?" Spider-Man taunted, weaving through a barrage of pumpkin bombs. Each explosion sent shockwaves through the bridge, cracking the asphalt and sending chunks of concrete flying.
Greymon and Garurumon unleashed a combined Nova Blast and Fox Fire, forcing VirusGoblin to shield himself. MailBirdramon fired a barrage of Plasma Cannon shots, each one impacting VirusGoblin's corrupted armor, but doing little to slow him. Ballistamon unleashed a Heavy Speaker blast, the low-frequency waves vibrating through the air, rattling teeth and making the very bridge tremble.
Kyubimon, agile and quick, darted around VirusGoblin's legs, launching Onibidama that exploded against his armored plating. Angewomon and LadyDevimon unleashed a coordinated assault of Celestial Arrows and Darkness Spears, their holy and dark energies clashing against the corrupted Digimon.
VirusGoblin roared, the sheer force of his rage echoing across the bridge. He was a force of nature, a storm of destruction. He slammed his fist into the ground, the impact sending a tremor through the bridge. Spider-Man, caught off guard, stumbled.
VirusGoblin seized the opportunity. With surprising speed, he grabbed Spider-Man by the throat, lifting him off the ground. Spider-Man's mask, damp with sweat, clung to his face. VirusGoblin's grip tightened, his claws digging into Spider-Man's suit.
"Any last words, bug?" VirusGoblin snarled, his voice a gravelly rasp.
Spider-Man tilted his head, a slight smirk visible beneath his mask. "Yeah," he rasped, his voice surprisingly calm despite the crushing pressure. "Hawkeye? Little help?"
In that precise moment, a glint of light caught VirusGoblin's fiery eye. Hawkeye's arrow, imbued with an unknown energy, found its mark. The arrow pierced the monster's pupil, sinking deep into the orb.
A blinding flash erupted from VirusGoblin's eye. He screamed, a piercing shriek of pain and disbelief. His grip on Spider-Man loosened, and the web-slinger dropped to the ground, coughing.
VirusGoblin staggered back, clawing at his face. The green energy surrounding him flickered and died. He stumbled blindly, his roars of rage turning into whimpers of agony.
