"How about it? This is such a good opportunity—do you want to have a proper fight?"
Mirajane looked at Erza with a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Anytime."
Erza frowned slightly, but nodded without hesitation.
She thought of the prey she had just defeated. Although she had only taken down two S-Class monsters so far, once this fight was over, she could still hunt down another.
No problem.
So naturally—she accepted Mira's challenge.
"Heaven's Wheel Armor!"
"Take Over — Satan Soul!"
In the next instant, a terrifying surge of magic burst from both girls.
At this point, Erza already possessed the power of an S-Class Mage, and her magic aura was anything but weak.
Two streaks of magic shot into the sky, instantly drawing the attention of everyone across the island.
"...Mira found Erza?"
Sensing the violent collision of magic, Makarov—who had been quietly resting and training—opened his eyes, then turned toward the distant magic signatures.
"Go check it out, you brats."
And with that, Makarov vanished on the spot.
"Now's my chance."
Elsewhere, Cana Alberona had also sensed Mira and Erza's clash.
She had no idea they were fighting each other.
No—she suddenly became excited.
"This is the opportunity I've been waiting for… I can't waste it."
Her eyes sharpened as she stared at the S-Class monster in front of her.
She tightened her grip on her magic cards, determination blazing.
"Demon Blast!"
"Tri-Blade of Heaven!"
Erza swung her long sword, unleashing a torrent of blades to meet the wave of demonic magic bursting from Mira.
"BOOM!!!"
"What intense magical pressure…"
Even after blocking Mira's attack with her sword, Erza was forced several steps backward.
For the first time, she felt it clearly:
Mira's power was overwhelming.
If we're just comparing raw magic… I can't match her. I absolutely cannot take a direct hit. I only have one chance. If I can't win in a single decisive strike… I'll definitely lose.
Her eyes sharpened with resolve.
"Observation Haki—!"
She spread her awareness out, sharpening her senses for any sudden movement from Mira.
"Where are you looking?"
Mira suddenly appeared on Erza's right side and struck with a vicious punch.
"!!"
Erza's Observation Haki screamed a warning.
She reacted just barely in time—her sword shifting, cloaked in Armament Haki, stabbing toward Mira.
"CLANG!"
Mira's fist slammed into Erza's blade, completely unmoving.
"BOOM!"
Power exploded point-blank, hurling Erza away like a ragdoll.
"Shave!"
Erza flickered out of the attack line, escaping to safety.
Seeing Mira wasn't chasing, she exhaled in relief.
But the next moment, her expression darkened.
No… if this continues, I'll just be pushed back over and over. I have to seize the initiative.
Her eyes hardened.
"Heavenly Chaos Sword!"
Dozens of long swords formed behind her in a dazzling arc, all locking onto Mira.
"Go!"
The swords transformed into streaks of light and rained down on Mira like a metal storm.
A normal person would be reduced to a hedgehog instantly.
But Mira?
She only smiled confidently.
"Armament Haki — Full Body!"
A layer of jet-black hardened across her entire figure.
Mira chose the most reckless method possible—
To tank all of Erza's attacks head-on.
"You're actually choosing to endure all of it…?"
Erza narrowed her eyes, expression turning even more solemn.
She didn't speak. She simply made her magic fiercer.
"PING! PING! PING! PONG!!!"
One by one, the blades smashed against Mira's Haki-covered body with metallic clangs.
But none could break through.
"With this level of armament… I can't break it…?"
Erza's eyes tightened as every one of her attacks was effortlessly blocked.
"It seems I need an armor with stronger offensive power."
She made up her mind.
"Requip — Purgatory—"
A violent pulse of magic erupted around her.
But just as she was about to equip her most explosive armor—
her expression changed drastically.
"Diamond Armor!"
"BOOM!!!"
The moment the armor materialized on her body, Mira appeared in front of her like a demon from a nightmare.
One palm.
That was all it took.
A devastating shockwave tore across more than a hundred meters behind Erza, destroying everything in its path.
"The aura hasn't weakened? She only lost magic…?"
Sensing Erza's presence still intact, Mira sighed in relief—then raised an eyebrow in surprise.
When the dust finally settled, under the moonlight, a silver gleam appeared.
A gleaming, cracked sphere of metal—Erza's Adamantine Armor.
At the last second, Erza had switched to her highest-defense armor to survive.
"Barely… made it."
Erza breathed out, staring at the cracks spiderwebbing across her armor.
But then—
she felt the emptiness inside her body.
Her magic power… was gone.
Her expression twisted wryly.
She knew what came next.
"In that case… I guess I'm at Mira's mercy now."
She let out a bitter smile.
"What… what will that demon Mira do to me now…?"
"Oho? What's this? Erzaaa… don't tell me… you're out of magic?"
Mira's teasing voice slid through the moonlit clearing.
