Chapter 60 - Dwarven Empire 3

"I see you're unwilling to marry… take your wife and leave my land," Dwalin said coldly. Seth sighed for a moment, letting out a breath of frustration before nodding in acceptance of the situation.

But as soon as Seth turned his back to leave the area, Dwalin made his move without hesitation or warning. After all, in his mind, if something wasn't an ally to his empire, what else could it possibly be but an enemy that needed to be eliminated? He equipped a powerful gear set that materialized around his body and cut forward with his blade aimed directly at Seth's unprotected back.

But the sword never reached Seth, never came close to touching him. For Dwalin found ice covering the sword completely, freezing it solid in mid-swing. His eyes shifted immediately to look towards Chu Yin, who was standing there letting out a soft breath as her dragon pupils locked directly with him, showing no fear whatsoever.

"I'm going to kill you." Chu Yin said blankly, her voice devoid of emotion or hesitation. Dwalin wasted no time at all, summoning his main gear from his inventory, which almost instantly covered his entire being in protective armor. The summoning happened just in the nick of time, as the gear allowed him to fight against the spreading ice and break free from it before it consumed him completely.

He turned his full attention to Chu Yin and instantly moved to kill her, closing the distance with incredible speed. Seth was strong and all, he acknowledged that much, but in his experienced eyes, Chu Yin was a far greater danger that needed to be dealt with first before she became an even bigger problem.

'The more I awaken my memory, the more usage of my power I have.' Chu Yin thought to herself as she watched Dwalin approach, who couldn't reach her no matter how fast he moved. Their existences were an infinite distance between her and him, separated by an impossible gap.

Yeah, she had used her ice to mimic Seth's powers and replicate his defensive ability. Although she hadn't copied it perfectly—she had simply frozen the distances themselves, meaning the distances between them, no matter how much Dwalin moved forward or how fast he ran, never shrank and remained exactly the same no matter what he did.

Dwalin instantly understood what was happening and moved differently, swinging his main sword called Galaxy Destroyer with all his might. The sword's overwhelming power destroyed everything in its path; it didn't have any complicated hax ability or special effect. It's just that its overwhelming raw power was enough to trump any and all overpowered broken abilities through sheer force alone.

If that wasn't enough on its own, this gear he wore buffed the sword's capability significantly, allowing it to overwhelm and nullify any abilities it came across through pure strength.

Chu Yin was instantly cut by the blade, the attack landing before she could even process it. Dwalin was easily far too fast for her to react to with her current speed and reflexes… but who said anything about her needing to react in the first place?

Her injury that appeared on her body was instantly covered in Ice the moment it formed, before the ice and injuries completely disappeared from her body, appearing on Dwalin's body in the exact same location instead. The next instant, Dwalin coughed up a mouthful of blood as the wound transferred to him.

Chu Yin let out a cold, chill breath into the space around her. That spell she had just cast was from her awakened memory, one of the techniques that reflects damage back to the person who inflicted them on the caster. But using her ice as a medium and catalyst, the spell was many times stronger than its original form and far more effective.

"I will call it Ice Reflection." Chu Yin said with an emotionless gaze, her voice flat and cold. Her emotions and everything else about her were frozen solid, locked away behind ice. She couldn't use her ice's full potential for long periods without consequences, but she had enough time. She reached forward and tapped the space in front of her with her finger. As if it were the surface of still water, the space itself began to ripple outward from where she touched.

"Eternal Ice: Flash Freeza," She chanted lightly, her voice barely above a whisper as she cast a new spell from her memories.

Dwalin, who had instantly healed from his own injury using his gear's regeneration abilities, suddenly froze in place when he saw reality itself freezing over as if it were the surface of still water turning to ice. Before he could do anything to defend himself or react to what was happening, he found that he was already frozen solid by the spell.

Cause and effect, reason, logic, and all of that, they were frozen along with his physical body, along with the protective gear that couldn't save him this time.

Chu Yin instantly left Ice mode, which was the special mode she had titled and named for when she began to use her ice's full capability without any restrictions. The moment she deactivated the mode, instantly, her flesh began to crack and split as if it were made of ice instead of skin, before it shattered into countless pieces of Ice that disappeared into the air around her.

Chu Yin's body shook violently from the intense cold surrounding her, the temperature dropping to dangerous levels. But Seth was there immediately, taking her into his arms gently and holding her close, helplessly looking at Dwalin, who had been frozen to death by the spell's power.

Dwalin was honestly doing the best thing for his empire and its safety; it's just that… well, how could you trust someone who you were going to give your beloved daughter to in marriage, but he rejected? There was, of course, more to this, but the heart of the matter, arranged marriage, was the way most people came to accept building bones with each other. The ultimate form of I trust you, so here is my galaxy Ur tier talent.

Seth sighed deeply as he moved forward to become the new Overlord of the territory now that Dwalin was dead. But he was forced to stop in his tracks and step back quickly as a golem suddenly appeared out of nowhere, nearly taking off his hand as its attack bypassed the Nexus barrier that should have protected him.

[Name: Absolute Golems

Talent: Absolute Combat (Ur Tier)

Combat Power: 800 septillion (x1 million within Territory/ ??? with Absolute Powers.)

Skills: [Perfected Martial Arts], [Absolute Defense], [Absolute Attack], [Absolute Speed], [Cellura Division], [Charging Mode], [Rest Mode], [Summons]

Stepping backwards to create distance, Seth looked around at the vast sea of golems that surrounded them on all sides, each one crafted specifically to be able to fight a Ur tier talent on equal ground. At the same time, the Ice covering Dwalin's frozen body began to crack and split apart. After a moment that felt like an eternity, the cry of a phoenix sounded through the area, and Dwalin returned to life, breathing heavily as he sucked in air and breathed again after dying and being brought back.

"Kill them," Dwalin said with a tired sigh, his voice exhausted from the resurrection process. Dwalin was honestly shocked and surprised that he had been defeated by people who weren't even tier 2 in strength yet.

But then again, his talent wasn't combat-related at all; he was a blacksmith first and foremost, and what better way of showing the power of a blacksmith than summoning an army of golems specifically made to rival UR tier talents in combat?

Seeing all of this, Chu Yin frowned deeply at seeing him alive again. She had frozen him completely; her spell should have negated everything and killed him permanently without any chance of revival… but she had underestimated what a Ur tier talent could do.

"I would like it if we stopped fighting," Seth said calmly, his voice cutting through the tension. Dwalin snorted at the suggestion dismissively… but that snort was short-lived and died in his throat as Seth's combat power began climbing rapidly, the numbers rising at an impossible rate and quickly going beyond the trillions in just seconds. Dwalin honestly believed he was seeing things that weren't real. How could one person's combat power just climb like that without any limit?

"So, this is your talent's true power? Doesn't matter," He said as the massive army of Golems all moved in on Seth at once, closing in from every direction. Seth easily moved through the attacks, dodging and avoiding all of the Golems with ease as they tried to surround and overwhelm him with their numbers.

"There is a power cap of 999 nonillion, shocking that you reached it while still at tier 1. But so what!" He sneered at Seth's display of power as Seth instantly found himself forced to move to the side as a golem fist shot past his face at incredible speed. The sheer power behind that single fist shot off into the distant space beyond them, destroying who knew how many stars and planets in its path as the energy traveled through the galaxy.
