Seth read the notifications that appeared before him, processing what had just happened with growing amazement. Ten trillion years had passed in that void of absolute darkness, yet his mind had remained intact and strong throughout the entire ordeal without breaking. That was an incomprehensible amount of time, longer than most civilizations had existed, yet he had endured it all.
"This is pretty cool, I feel like Alien X," Seth said to himself with satisfaction, marveling at the power now flowing through him.
With just a single thought, not even needing to speak or gesture, an apple appeared right in front of him floating in the air, manifesting from nothing but his will.
All he had to do was will it into existence with focused intent, and anything could be done with this power… but the effect was even greater when combined with his Haki, which instantly buffed his capability to Ur tier level, something which made Seth grin widely with excitement at the possibilities this opened up for him.
"I should have gotten that skill that allowed me to birth more than one subconsciousness… but it had its limitations," Seth said softly to himself, thinking about what he could have done differently. But then his mind shifted to recalling the merchants.
He smirked at the sudden realization, for he could just buy the skill from them directly instead of wishing for it or searching for it elsewhere. At that point, picture him with like a million subconsciousness all working together simultaneously on different problems, that would greatly help him quickly break down the complex math behind even Ur tier abilities and their mechanics, making him completely unstoppable in any battle he faced.
But before he could do anything or make concrete plans to contact the merchants, the door to his office suddenly opened without warning. Mary, covered in blood that dripped steadily from her clothes and stained the floor beneath her, walked up to the table. She placed a skill crystal on the table in front of him without saying a word, the crystal gleaming despite the blood on her hands.
"How did you know?" Seth asked with genuine curiosity, picking up the crystal carefully which held the skill he had literally just been thinking about moments ago. It was Multi-processing, an A-tier ability that would solve his problem perfectly.
"I can see everything, seeing into the future to see what you would need is easy work for me." She said calmly, her voice showing no emotion despite the blood covering her entire body.
Seth nodded in understanding while taking the crystal firmly in his hand and absorbing it immediately.
This marked the 4th skill he had learned through skill crystals, meaning he couldn't learn any other skills through that method anymore due to the system's limit on learned skills.
Yes, he had Haki as well in his arsenal, but he didn't learn it through a skill crystal like the others—he had learned it the hard way by watching Levi use it in combat, and having the man teach him directly.
Seth didn't waste any time at all and pulled out another precious crystal to use. He evolved Multi-Thinking to the SSS tier ability immediately, transforming it completely into something far more powerful called Infinity Brain.
[Infinity Brain]- This skill allows the user to process a vast amount of information at the same time. It's like having an extra brain when, in truth, one's gained an extra "brain", which allows them to handle more tasks at the same time or focus on one task for greater effect.
At level 1, one is able to have about 1 to 10 extra "brains", allowing them to process more things at the same time without overwhelming or cooking their brain. It also buffs your overall thinking capability. With 2 brains, even with one working, your thinking capability would be far greater than before, as your brain is far more powerful.
At Level 5, one is able to have anywhere from 1 million to an infinite number of "brains" working simultaneously at the same time. At this point in mastery of the skill, even with just one brain working while the others rest or focus on different tasks, you should be easily able to learn and master any skill at a rate far faster than others could ever hope to achieve in their lifetimes.
And with all of the brains working together at the same time in perfect coordination, you could, in theory, have the ability to instantly master any skill that you encounter or study, depending on whether your comprehension ability was good before getting this skill in the first place.
Seth looked at the remaining skills he had in his arsenal that still needed upgrading: WDKMOMMS, Flash Healing, and lastly Conqueror Haki. Seth went on to pull out the last 3 remaining SSS tier skill upgrade orbs he had saved carefully and used them on these skills one by one, turning them all into SSS tier abilities one after another in succession.
[Overcomer] This SSS-tier passive ability turns any and all forms of damage you take into power, increasing your combat power without any limit whatsoever or cap.
At level 1, at this level of mastery, after healing from an injury you've sustained in battle, determining exactly how badly the injury was and how severe the damage had been would directly determine how huge the buff in power one gets afterward as a reward.
This skill sees everyone with an HP bar floating above their heads, so someone who can heal on the conceptual level would need to suffer damage on the conceptual level if they want to trigger this ability and gain its benefits… but in return for meeting that requirement, one can get up to a thousand times stronger after recovering from an injury completely.
At level 5, this ability allows the user to get up to a billion times stronger after recovering from an injury sustained in battle.
There was also a debuff applied to one's natural recovery capability, which slowed down healing, but in return for accepting that drawback, it made this skill's effect even more powerful than it would normally be without the debuff.
[Ultimate Recovery] An SSS tier passive ability that allows the user to heal at an extremely fast speed beyond normal limits and expectations. Body injuries could heal instantly without any delay whatsoever. And by instant, I mean truly instant in the literal sense, since the flesh would heal faster than it could even get damaged in the first place, creating the ultimate defense against physical harm of any kind.
Only soul, mind, and conceptual attacks can truly harm you in any meaningful way that matters, which would be reflected on your body as visible damage.
At level 1, right off the bat, from the moment you get this skill, your body ignores the flow of time completely and recovers instantly from any damage dealt to it. Your soul is able to reform after being ripped apart by powerful attacks, and even if it's completely erased from existence by overwhelming force, so long as your concept remains intact somewhere, it can reform over time, along with your body rebuilding itself from nothing.
At level 5, even if your concept is ripped apart by incredibly powerful attacks that target your very existence, so long as it's not completely destroyed beyond any possibility of recovery, you would reform and come back given enough time to regenerate fully. But be warned clearly and understand this, if you don't have a way to remain conscious as a concept while reforming your body and soul, you would be completely powerless and defenseless during that vulnerable time period.
[Supreme Conqueror Haki] This is an SSS-tier ability that takes one's willpower and turns it into the most powerful weapon imaginable for combat. The stronger the willpower the user possesses and has trained, the greater the effects this ability has when used in battle or other situations.
At level 1, one is able to unleash their Conqueror Haki out into the world around them in a wave of power. If one's Haki is strong enough and powerful enough, then all things in reality can be nullified and canceled out completely, even a person's very existence can be nullified and erased from reality itself. But at this level of mastery, one's conqueror Haki can't be controlled properly or directed as it bursts outward uncontrollably in all directions, reflecting their emotions and current mental state without filter.
At level 5, one is able to control their conqueror Haki fully and use it to do many things with precision and intent. From using it to attack enemies directly, defend against incoming threats, increasing attack range significantly beyond normal limits, nullifying abilities completely, removing abilities permanently from opponents, enslaving others to your will, and more applications beyond that list. The stronger one's willpower is, the stronger the Haki becomes in turn as a direct result, meaning in the right hands, this is an Ur tier ability in all but name.
"Well, let me work on having all of them reach level 5. I might need your help for this," Seth said, looking directly at Mary with expectation in his eyes.
Mary nodded in agreement without any hesitation whatsoever. Training with Seth would allow her to quickly level up her eyes and abilities, so she had no resistance to the idea at all… although she was curious if she could develop a strong willpower that rivals Seth's incredible mental strength and fortitude… but she doubted it was possible for her to achieve. She was crazy and mentally unstable because her willpower wasn't strong enough to handle what she had seen in her visions.
Seth had seen that thing in the void and had already moved on from it mentally without issue; meanwhile, she still had nightmares about that monster every single night without fail. But could Seth's dislike for humans be counted as a lack of willpower on his part?
She doubted it strongly; everyone had a flaw or weakness of some kind. Seth's main flaws were that he was arrogant about his abilities and confident to a fault, and that he didn't like humans as a species at all.
After all, he couldn't blame his ex for what she did to him and how she betrayed him; she was simply… well, human…
And that was something that made Seth disgusted with humans as a whole, since no other races would have done what she did, but a human would… well, Seth hadn't studied beast men extensively, but they were part animals in nature, so that wouldn't look good for humanity to be compared to animals in behavior and morals.
