Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Unspeakable Feelings?

After I got home, I noticed that I had a text message on my phone. Curious to know who sent it, I opened it to see that it was Xie Junxing.

I was immediately happy, happily opening it to see what he had been waiting for.

His text message was just one sentence:

"You're not going home today?"

I was a little suspicious of his question, but still replied immediately:

"I did go home. Why are you asking? What's the matter?"

The other side replied almost immediately, not giving me time to wonder further:

"It's not just today when you came home... did you go to a study group?"

I was a little stunned as I looked at the text message that Sinh had sent and thought to myself:

"How does he know about this?"

But I still answered honestly:

"Yeah, that's right. But why?"

This time, Quan Hanh hesitated for a few seconds before replying:

"Nothing… I'm just worried about you."

I froze.

Then my face turned red.

Then my heart started pounding.

Xie Jun Hanh said he was worried about me… really?

I hugged the phone and just kept smiling stupidly the whole time.

I didn't expect that on the other side…

Quan Hanh was sitting with his back against the chair, holding the phone in his hand, his eyes were complicated and hard to describe.

He pursed his lips, softly saying a sentence that sounded like he was blaming himself:

"What are you worried about… what's wrong with me, Ta Quan Hanh."

The image of this afternoon suddenly appeared clearly.

I was riding a bike below, it was Trinh Vien Han, his old best friend.

Vien Han sat behind me and hugged my waist, deliberately glancing over at Ta Quan Hanh with a provocative expression, just to tease.

But he didn't know… what Ta Quan Hanh noticed the most

was the hand hugging my waist.

He didn't know why he felt so uncomfortable when he saw that scene.

A very strange feeling, very annoying, but he didn't dare to name it.

He frowned, rubbing his forehead:

"What the hell do you care... You really have a problem, Quan Hanh."

He stood up and pulled the curtains.

The lights downstairs were bright, the servants were running back and forth, but his eyes were only fixed on the space

where he had just imagined my face.

His hand gently raised, as if he wanted to touch that image.

"Knock, knock."

The knock on the door startled him back to reality.

"Young master... please come down to eat. The master and mistress are waiting."

Quan Hanh regained his composure and replied briefly:

"I know. You go down first."

When the door closed, he looked at his hand.

He suddenly clenched it tightly.

"Maybe I saw him too much, that's why… maybe."

He said as if to reassure himself, but his eyes were evasive.

The next morning

As soon as I entered the school gate, I saw Ta Quan Hanh standing near the flower bed.

I saw that, my eyes lit up with joy, and I ran to call him:

"Today too…"

But before I could finish my sentence, he walked past me, his face cold, not even looking at me, as if he and I didn't know each other.

I paused.

My heart ached a little, thinking:

"Why… did he ignore me?

Last night he said he was worried about me…"

I comforted myself:

"Maybe he's tired… or something happened."

Then I turned around and walked back to the classroom, even though I thought so, I still felt disappointed and sad.

I bowed my head and walked back to the classroom, not daring to look back.

I didn't know that

behind me, Ta Quan Hanh was watching my back as I left, his eyes were deep, complicated, and...

something that was hard to put into words...

Beside him, a friend of his saw him turn back to look at something, so he also turned back to look and asked:

"What's over there that you're looking at so fiercely?"

He turned back and softly said in a flat, emotionless voice:

"Nothing.."
