"Marquis, did you call me for something?" Barbossa sat down in a chair nearby, addressing Li Qingyuan.
Compared to Jack Sparrow, who relied solely on the protagonist's halo and his distinguished family background, Barbossa was the hidden protagonist of the entire Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Although the Black Pearl was the fastest ship in the Caribbean Sea due to its enchantment, it still had obvious disadvantages compared to a warship.
The Black Pearl's armor wasn't strong enough, its firepower wasn't fierce enough, and even its facilities couldn't compare to a warship's.
Civilian ships could never match military ones, right?
"A fully functional warship, equipped with eighteen new cannons, could wipe out every merchant ship and pirate ship in the Caribbean Sea with just one volley." Li Qingyuan, having crammed on naval knowledge these past few days, knew his offer was something Barbossa couldn't refuse.
Caliber is truth, after all. No matter how fast the Black Pearl was, it was still a weakling. What could it do besides run away?

Because he had secured Port Royal by relying on Governor Swann's connections, Li Qingyuan had taken possession of all four warships in Port Royal, and they were all in perfect condition.
So Barbossa couldn't understand why the other party would want his Black Pearl, since he already had four warships.
"I want the Black Pearl mainly for this guy!" Li Qingyuan said with a smile, pointing at Jack Sparrow, who was standing nearby, his face filled with envy, jealousy, and hatred.
"Captain, are you saying you're going to give me the Black Pearl?" Jack Sparrow was overjoyed and excitedly ran in front of Li Qingyuan, ready to give him a hug.
However, Li Qingyuan kicked him directly off the pier and into the sea.
The guy hadn't showered in at least six months, and the number of bugs on him was easily in the triple digits. Who would want to have physical contact with him?

"A truly pleasant sight!" Barbossa said with a smile, seeing Jack Sparrow fall into the sea.
"Captain Barbossa, Port Royal can provide you with all the supplies you need. Also, you can bring your unsellable goods here, and I'll have someone give you a fair price." Since he was playing the good guy, he might as well go all the way. Money in this world was useless to him anyway, so he might as well use it to win over important characters in the plot.
