His scream seems to have reached inside my ribcage and torn out my heart. Dropping the broom I rush back towards his cell and find him doubled over in pain. The screams escape him. Nonstop.
"Rigel!" I cry out, my hands instantly reaching for him. Grabbing his waist, I pull him into myself, embracing him.
He comes so willingly, his arms coiling around my body and holding on to me for dear life.
He buries his face into my chest for comfort and I find his whole body shaking and spasming.
He is in pain, so much pain and it pisses me off.
Once I find the person who has cursed him and made him this vulnerable, it's not going to end well.
My hand instantly moves as I slowly and gently rub his back and arm.
"It's going to be fine. I am here," I emphatically say. His eyes remain closed while his head keeps leaning on me, sideways.
Slowly, he begins to calm down, and I just hold onto him. I press my lips on his temple, and his tensed body instantly relaxes.
