A month passes by...
With us still occupying the base, and defending it, with the girls and the commander with me they have taught me plenty of stuff and skills.
With anastasia for example, while she may not a gear of her own yet my aim with the cannon i brought back has become alarming, for zoe that is. Since with zoya and raisa helping me with basic gunnery and positioning, anastasia has basically become the current sniper of the team. Having a hit rate of almost 80% sure it may not be a 90 or 100% hit rate. For me being not really an actual combattant.... yet and would undoubtedly take or even die if i get hit directly its very good. Compared to zoe who is pouting in the corner.
Meanwhile for johan, with the commander's teaching i have basically gotten a basic unserstanding of this world's tactics which basically sofsr just boils down to "tank" formations an the usual survivability onion and ambush and attack tactics. While i may not know much about military stuff my gaming knowledge from my old world has helped me alot in this aspect.
As for both of my bodies, daily exercise and a good daily routine has gotten me a very good grasp on them, other than... that for anastasia... i wont go to much into it but it was very irritating and you just want to stay still and not do much... and... i wont go into much more details. Im just glad zoe and the others were around so i now know what to do and what not to do.
Honestly having two bodies with one mind is very, VERY mentally exhausting, but this past month has helped me sorta cope or deal with it. Though. While it may be two separate bodies it still feels like i only have one brain in-between them so im not sure how it works.
But for now i digress, as of now we are on our way back to the research institute, dealing with beast tanks along the way and collecting more ammo for the cannon anastasia has, since it was running low.
As we arrive we see nelly and her squad by the entrance of the institute.
As nelly starts, "Long time no see. Some informatjon about that orangutan for you and by the by we'll be fighting together again." As nelly then gives a document that the commander reads through.
As the commander then nods, "got it, so lets see..."
'An orangutan named Socates was a laboratory anima in that institute, and had a close relationship with the researchers there.
After the institute was attacked, Socrates lost his owner but wasnt killed, perhaps due to the animal's relationship with the beast tanks.
Meaning that the few words Socrates uttered indicate thst the real perpetrators could still be hiding inside the institute.'
As the commander then frowns, "but why didn't we find anything abnormal the last time we passed through there then?"
As nelly then strokes her chin thinking, "maybe we were distracted by that talking orangutan."
As the commander sighs and nods, "alright, then that means we have to go inside again to investigate."
With nelly nodding aswell as she turns to lena and prima, "alright we are fighting with the commander and his team again so get ready to move." Causing lena to groan and prima nodding.
Meanwhile back with us, zoe doing the same thing groaning at the tought of having to be with lena again. While zoya and raisa gives an affirmation and prepares to move out, while i nod with anastasia and ask what we are going to do first with johan.
"So whats the first agenda? Clearing out the surrounding beast tanks inside and outside?"
As the commander nods, "yep we need to clear them out to investigate properly there might be some new ones that came here since we last left so stay alert."
With that everyone nods as the group first circles the institute, dealing with stray beast tanks and a couple of group of patrols.
After circling the institute nelly and the others lead the way down inside the institute. Encountering some beast tanks that has entered and have probably been missed when we first entered a month ago.
After a few more skirmishes the commander speaks up, "with this operstion, we have cleared out all the surrounding beast tanks innthe area, including those that we had missed the last time."
As nelly nods to the commander, "being well prepared allowed us to sweep them away smoothly."
As zoe pumps her arms, "well, being somewhat idle for a whole month has given me an itch to take them down."
With lena chuckling, "how about making a bet on who can take down more beast tanks?"
With zoe nodding as she pats jumbo on her shoulder, "Sure! I would never lose to you anyway." As she grins cheekily.
As the commander bonks zoe's head, "behave yourselfd. We're not here for fun."
Causing zoe to pout and hold the bonked spot even though it didnt really hurt her or anything.
'Cute... but wait.. isn't this? Hmm... i gues i should get ready then. Only a matter of time until we meet her. I just hope she isn't actually that difficult to fight against. Heres hoping.'
As we start heading deeper in the institute, a rumble could be heard in the distance, as lena quickly reports after heading back to the group, "A large number of beast tanks have appeared up agead, and they are all bison! My shells just dosen't do anything against them! They just deflect off!"
Shocking nelly, "Bison?! That was nevef indicated in the data!"
As prima then takes aim and fires, Boom.
The shell that prima fired screams across the large room towards the bison's charging formation, as the girls quickly spread out.
