Chapter 79
"Can we stop doing this already?"
Sebastian muttered, half a grunt buried in his tone as he fought to keep his face and voice neutral — not to draw attention toward them and this little theatrics Celeste was pulling.
His heels clicked tirelessly against the tiled floor, echoing beneath the high ceiling, clutching his gym bag tighter as he walked behind Celeste, whose own heels struck briskly with that same mix of sass and dignity she clearly didn't have, heading straight toward the exit.
"Celeste," Sebastian called again, half plea, half warning. "Wait up!" He almost yelled this one.
but bit back the irritation already simmering toward anger — because snapping would make things worse. It always did.
But Celeste didn't answer. She moved with her hips swaying like she was on a runway, not even sparing Sebastian a glance.
Her face was set — sour, heavy with the aftermath of their little couple banter that turned to another pointless argument.
