Chapter 267 - Obtaining the Six-Tails

Ryōsuke said with a faint smile.

"I've come for the Tailed Beast inside you."

Utakata's expression darkened instantly.

This man really was here for the Tailed Beast.

He drew a kunai from his tool pouch, gripping it tightly as he held it in front of him.

If this man attacked, he would have no choice but to fight to the death.

At the same time, he called out to his master.

"Master, go notify the villagers! I'll hold him off!"

Only by alerting the village early would they stand any chance against this white-masked man in black.

However, his master, Harusame, remained unmoved.

Utakata didn't know that this man was actually a benefactor to the Mist Village; he only saw him as an intruder.

In truth, the Fourth Mizukage had been controlled by genjutsu, bringing a great catastrophe upon the village.

An event like this had likely never happened before in the history of the shinobi world.

Because of this, the village high-ranking officials had suppressed the news, preventing it from spreading.

Similarly, information regarding the white-masked man in black had been kept quiet.

Harusame also wanted this man to take the Six-Tails from within Utakata.

Although such a beast was incredibly valuable as a weapon of war, it was also a ticking time bomb.

Now that the Third Great Ninja War had ended, the village no longer had a desperate need for such a thing.

Thus, he had no intention of alerting the rest of the village.

Utakata's expression faltered. What was wrong with his master?

Why wasn't he moving?

Did he want this man to capture him?

Did his master hate and fear him just like everyone else in the village?

Meanwhile, Ryōsuke suddenly lunged toward Utakata.

Despite his vigilance, Utakata's desperate swings with his kunai were futile.

Ryōsuke simply tilted his body, effortlessly dodging every strike.

The boy's efforts were useless.

In an instant, Ryōsuke had him by the throat.

Utakata felt a crushing pressure, and from the lack of oxygen, he quickly blacked out.

Ryōsuke gently lowered him to the ground.

He was a bit surprised by how easy the process had been.

'This kid can't even tap into the Tailed Beast's power yet.'

'He probably doesn't know how to use it.'

In the original timeline, Utakata was a formidable opponent who earned the title of a Perfect Jinchūriki.

He was someone who could trade blows with the Six Paths of Pain and even take down two of their bodies.

Turning to Harusame, who had remained a bystander, Ryōsuke asked curiously.

"You're not going to step in?"

Harusame's expression remained calm.

"I will not. On the contrary, I would like to ask you to remove that wicked Tailed Beast from my disciple. I only hope you can spare his life."

"Just as you did for the Fourth Mizukage."

Ryōsuke found this quite interesting. To have the man plead with him like this...

The scene was unexpectedly harmonious.

Harusame added, "You extracted the beast from the Fourth Mizukage and broke the genjutsu controlling him, preventing that villain from further harming our village. You are a benefactor to the Mist Village, and indeed to the entire Land of Water."

Ryōsuke was momentarily stunned. Being called a benefactor was amusing.

He had no desire to be a hero for this village.

He wasn't even a local.

However, he didn't bother to deny it.

He spoke calmly, "Then step outside. I will extract the beast, and I will ensure he survives."

Harusame felt a surge of relief and immediately walked out of the house.

"Then I leave it in your hands."

He didn't care about the Tailed Beast at all.

Even though he was Utakata's master, he constantly worried—both for the boy's life and his own.

A Tailed Beast was an omen of misfortune.

They were far too difficult to control, and if they went on a rampage, the resulting disaster would be catastrophic.

Now, only Ryōsuke and the unconscious Utakata remained in the room.

This was convenient; there was no need to find another location.

Ryōsuke pulled up Utakata's shirt to reveal his stomach.

He carefully examined the sealing formula.

He found it to be very similar to the one used on the Fourth Mizukage, with no major changes.

This saved him a lot of trouble.

He extended his hand, coating his fingers in chakra, and pressed them against Utakata's torso, twisting the sealing formula.

Tailed Beast chakra began to leak out.

Ryōsuke then retrieved the Sealing Bottle from his system space, uncapped it, and aimed it at the dissipating chakra to begin the absorption.

As usual, he opened the seal to its maximum capacity, allowing the chakra to flow out rapidly.

This was also the absolute limit of what Utakata's body could withstand.

Looking at the flow rate, it would take at least a day to complete.

He hoped no one would disturb him during this time.

Throughout the process, Harusame never re-entered the house, knowing that breaking a seal was far more taxing than applying one, especially if the Jinchūriki was to be kept alive.

He had considered doing it himself before, but with his abilities, the chance of success was slim.

A day passed quickly.

By noon the next day, Ryōsuke had absorbed ninety-nine percent of the Tailed Beast's chakra, leaving just a sliver inside Utakata so the boy wouldn't die.

Inside the translucent Sealing Bottle, a miniature Six-Tailed creature now resided.

To be honest, it looked a bit like a slug.

It was somewhat disgusting.

The slug-like creature began spitting out a massive amount of acid mist.

Ryōsuke recognized this as the Six-Tails' ability.

It was a highly corrosive acidic gas.

However, it seemed to have no effect on the glass of the Sealing Bottle.

It clearly wasn't ordinary glass.

The quality of products from the system was guaranteed.

He then tossed it back into his system space.

'It's time to leave.'

After a day and a night, the ocular power of his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan had fully recovered.

While the recovery time wasn't short, the fact that it could recover at all was good enough.

Walking out of the room, he saw Harusame waiting nearby.

"It's done."

Harusame was excited and rushed inside to check on his disciple. Only after seeing that Utakata was safe did he finally feel at ease.

Ryōsuke walked down the steps, preparing to use the Teleportation Technique of his right eye in the clearing.

His eyes shifted into the pattern of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan as he activated the dōjutsu.

A portal appeared before him.

Just as Ryōsuke was about to step through, a voice called out from behind him.

"Wait a moment!"

Ryōsuke turned around. It was Terumī Mei.

He hadn't expected her to show up here.

Whatever, he didn't have time for her right now.

He wanted to head back to the Mist Village to grant Samui the Sharingan bloodline.

And perhaps cool off a bit.

As for Terumī Mei, he didn't intend to force anything on her.

She didn't covet the Sharingan Kekkei Genkai.

Of course, if she ever wanted it, he wouldn't be stingy.
