Chapter 265 - Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan

Ryōsuke was quite satisfied with Zabuza's attitude.

Recruiting a guy like this would be very useful for the task of gathering the Tailed Beasts.

Although he wasn't much in terms of combat power, gathering information on the locations of the Tailed Beasts was crucial, saving Ryōsuke the trouble of searching for them himself.

Zabuza certainly had the ability to gather intelligence; after all, he was a Jōnin.

Zabuza spoke up.

"God King, what is our next move? Are we going to continue gathering the Tailed Beasts?"

"I know the location of the Six-Tails Jinchūriki, who is still within the Mist Village's reach."

"Should we go and seize the Six-Tails from him as well?"

Ryōsuke immediately felt a bit of a headache.

He remembered now.

The current Six-Tails Jinchūriki, Utakata, was indeed still part of the Mist Village right now.

The guy's master seemingly wanted to separate him from his Tailed Beast so that Utakata would no longer suffer from the village's discrimination.

His master was that guy named Harusame, right?

Since Zabuza said he was still in the Mist Village, it meant that Utakata hadn't killed his master and fled the village yet.

Ryōsuke had actually forgotten about this guy's existence.

If he had known earlier, he would have taken both this guy and the Fourth Mizukage together to extract their Tailed Beasts.

What a shame. After traveling all this way, did he really have to head back to the Mist Village again?

Doing that would honestly make him look a bit ridiculous.

He let out a deep sigh in his heart.

'What a pain.'

Another trip—not only was it a waste of time, but it was also incredibly boring.

Ultimately, it was because his current eyes weren't up to the task.

At the moment, they were only at the Mangekyō Sharingan level.

Honestly, these eyes were already lagging behind; they hadn't seen an upgrade in years.

After using a portal once before, he had felt significant eye fatigue.

He didn't dare use it too often. Even with his immense strength, he had no desire to go blind.

It was frustrating to have a cheat-like ability but be unable to use it to its full potential.

Just then, the mechanical voice of the system suddenly rang in his mind.

[SYSTEM: Ding! Your eyes are extremely displeased with the host's complaints. They are not subpar Sharingan. They have cultivated decisively and rapidly, successfully awakening the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.]

Ryōsuke was stunned. He had awakened the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan just like that?

He didn't need to gouge out his own brother's eyes and swap them like Madara and Sasuke.

This was far too convenient.

Then, he felt a warm current flow through his eyes.

It made his eyes feel incredibly comfortable.

The scenery in front of him became much clearer.

This was a pure improvement in visual acuity.

Evolving from the Mangekyō Sharingan to the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

Not only did his ocular power increase, but more importantly, it could now recover.

From now on, even if he used the teleportation technique of his right eye, there should be no risk of going blind.

Now he could actually consider going back to the Mist Village; it would only be a matter of a few teleports.

He looked at Zabuza.

"Zabuza, the intel you provided this time is excellent. Tell me the specific location of the Six-Tails Jinchūriki."

Ryōsuke decided to double back.

Regardless of whether the Mist Village had sent people out to catch him, they likely wouldn't expect him to visit the village again so soon.

Zabuza responded.

"God King, that guy isn't in the village. He lives alone in a forest to the east of the village."

"After all, he isn't like the Fourth Mizukage; he isn't a perfect Jinchūriki who can perfectly control his Tailed Beast."

"Instead, he is like a time bomb, pushed to the outskirts of the village by the residents."

Zabuza had already decided to serve the organization, so he would naturally follow through on his word.

Although this meant leaking the Mist Village's secrets, he was already a rogue ninja and no longer a member of the village.

Therefore, he felt no burden in his heart.

Ryōsuke was a little surprised.

He couldn't even live in the village?

That was even worse than Naruto's situation.

However, if he was outside the village, catching him would be much easier.

Still, he didn't plan to return to the Mist Village immediately. Instead, he decided to enjoy himself at this port first.

He also needed to carefully consider where to go next after finishing his business in the Mist Village.

Actually, the next stop could be the Land of Wind to deal with Shukaku in the Sand Village, and he could take Temari while he was at it.

Adult Temari was quite a fine woman.

But right now, she was still just a child.

He already had Haku and Izumi as children to raise.

He didn't want to deal with another child.

In that case, he could naturally take a boat to the Land of Lightning in the north.

That would be a very interesting stop.

Getting Samui pregnant again wouldn't weigh on his conscience.

After all, she had a thing for Kekkei Genkai.

Ryōsuke was more than happy to give them to her; he would give her as much as she wanted without a shred of stinginess.

He would just consider it an act of charity.

After considering it, it really seemed better to take a boat north. It was decided. The Eight-Tails was there too, so he might as well take care of it while he was at it.

"Let's spend some time enjoying ourselves at this port!"

Zabuza was a bit surprised. 'Enjoy ourselves?'

This was truly a luxury for someone who was once a Mist ninja like Zabuza.

Not long ago, he had been plotting with the Hōzuki clan to overthrow the Fourth Mizukage's rule. After failing, he had been busy fleeing the Land of Water.

He had never had anything resembling free time.

However, now that he had a new identity, he naturally had a new life. It was worth a try.

He was now a member of The Illuminati.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but want to know more about the organization.

He asked.

"God King, how many people are in our Illuminati?"

In his eyes, this was a great organization, since its goal was to achieve peace in the shinobi world.

And since the God King was so strong, he surely had many subordinates. Although Zabuza had never heard of it, he assumed it must be a massive underground organization that had been hidden for years.

Thinking about this only piqued his curiosity further.

Ryōsuke responded calmly.

"For the time being, there are only two members, including you and me."

In truth, this organization had just been established by him not too long ago, so naturally, there weren't many people yet.

However, he could consider recruiting more people to make things easier.

After all, later on he would need to collect the Tailed Beasts, fight the Akatsuki, and eventually even deal with Kara. He couldn't just fight all over the world by himself.

Zabuza was dumbfounded. Just the two of them?

This was a huge gap from what he had imagined.

Two people trying to achieve peace in the shinobi world... it felt a bit unrealistic.

Based on his assumptions, there should have been at least hundreds, if not thousands, of people, including support staff.

He even thought the organization might have just been founded; otherwise, how could there only be two people?
