Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: So...Stupid

Hearing this, Ruo Yu Xi frowned slightly. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her pupils darkened as if a small storm was brewing in her heart.

She pushed Lin Ze Yun away, her voice carrying a hint of indifference:

"Stop guessing my thoughts all day long. I don't like it."

Her voice wasn't loud, but each word that fell was as sharp as a knife, causing the surrounding atmosphere to suddenly become heavy.

I stood beside her, looking at her without understanding anything, bewildered like a lost deer.

My hand pointed towards Lin Ze Yun, the other hand slightly grabbed the corner of Wu Xi's shirt, my voice small but sincere:

"Hy Xi… you and that person… are lovers?"

As soon as the words ended, the entire space seemed to freeze for a second.

Both Ruo Yu Xi and Lin Ze Yun were stunned, as if their brains needed a few seconds to process the data they had just heard.

Then "bang"

A knock on the head made me dizzy, holding my head and screaming softly:

"Ah! Why do you keep hitting me?! I didn't do anything!"

Nhược Vũ Hy crossed her arms, glared at me sharply, her voice annoyed:

"Who told you to talk nonsense."

I pouted, mumbling in resentment:

"You always bully me... violent..."

Hearing the two words "violent", Nhược Vũ Hy's eyebrows twitched repeatedly, the corners of her lips slightly curled into an unclear smile.

"Yeah, I'm violent. Do you have any comments?"

I saw that look and felt a chill down my spine, quickly turned away, secretly thinking:

Is her ear a radar, why is it so sharp...

Nhược Vũ Hy sighed softly, rubbing the bridge of her nose, as if trying to contain her anger. After that, she turned back to look at Lâm Trạch Vân, then glanced at me, her eyes wavering as if she had something to hide.

"He and I are just passersby, so we only know each other a little."

The sentence sounded normal, but her eyes were evasive. Her voice trembled slightly, her eyelids drooped slightly.

I looked and thought to myself: "This expression is clearly a lie."

On the other side, Lam Trach Van was silent, then suddenly took a step forward, before Vu Hy could react, he grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards him.

His other hand was placed on her waist, squeezing lightly, his breath blowing on her neck, his voice low:

"We… are not passersby. We are each other's fiancés."

I stood frozen in place, my mouth open:

"Uh… what?"

Nhuoc Vu Hy stiffened, then gradually trembled with anger. Her eyes flashed with cold light, her voice became hoarse, each word was as clear as a hammer:

"Let go."

Lin Ze Yun didn't let go, just looked at her, his eyes were a mixture of pain and stubbornness.

I saw that the situation was about to collapse, stammered:

"Hey, you... brother, you..."

Before I could finish my sentence, "huh" a sudden elbow from Wu Hy landed straight on his stomach.

"Ugh..."

Lin Ze Yun bent over, let go, then was pushed hard to the ground by her.

She stood up straight, took a deep breath, her voice was cold and creepy:

"I told you, I don't like anyone touching me, but you still don't listen?"

Her breathing was heavy, but her eyes didn't tremble. There was only a hint of worry that flashed past and then disappeared.

She paused for a few seconds, then continued, her voice calmer:

"And I also don't like people... who don't listen."

After speaking, she turned to me.

I stood there, sweating profusely, glanced at the person who had just been flattened on the ground, then looked at her, stammering:

"Uh… you… if you have something to say, just say it, why did you touch me…"

Vu Hy did not answer. She turned her back, her shoulders shaking slightly, her voice low, carrying a hint of fatigue:

"It's none of your business. Let's go."

She walked away, her back straight but heavy.

I looked and could only sigh, bent down to help Lam Trach Van:

"Hey, brother, are you okay? Do you need me to pull you up?"

He looked at my hand for a while, his eyes were mixed between pride and confusion, then gently took it.

"…Thank you."

When he stood up, he asked softly, his voice low:

"What are you… to her?"

I smiled, pointing at myself and happily introducing:

"Me? Just a close friend. He doesn't look that cold. Today… he must be having some kind of a fit."

Lin Zeyun heard that, pursed his lips, his eyes slightly lowered. He thought to himself:

"Just a friend… that's good too."

But the corners of his lips curled up, his smile was not happy at all.

A moment later, he raised his head, as if suddenly remembering something:

"Where are you and her… planning to go?"

I replied immediately, my voice cheerful:

"She said she wanted to go back to the country, so I came to pick her up."

Hearing that, Lin Zeyun's eyes wavered slightly, a vague feeling welled up in his heart: "Just going back to the country…?"

I looked at that face, suddenly feeling a bit sorry, so I patted his shoulder, and chuckled:

"If you really like her, you should know how to keep her… don't force her."

The memory ends.

A few days later, Wu Xi, Lin Ze Yun, and I took the same flight back home.

On my head were a few pitiful lumps of memories from last night, when that girl got excited and "corrected my attitude".

As soon as I got off the plane, Lin Ze Yun gently tugged on Wu Xi's sleeve, his voice soft and deep:

"If you… haven't found a place to stay yet, you can stay with me."

Wu Xi was a little startled, withdrew his hand, and said calmly:

"No need."

I interrupted, smiling slyly:

"Hy Xi, my room is full, you can stay with this friend. After all, you two… already know each other."

After saying that, I ran away quickly, leaving the two of them standing there.

Wu Xi looked at me, sighed, then reluctantly nodded to LinTrach Van.

When she arrived at his house, she stopped right in front of the door, her eyes darkened, her small voice was no longer as cold as before but carried an unpredictable gentleness:

"Are you...still in pain?"

Lin Trach Van paused a bit, her eyes were slightly suspicious, then seemed to realize something and happily replied:

"No...it doesn't hurt anymore..."

Then he looked at her face which was now not as cold as before but a bit gloomy like a child who did something wrong...? so he also hesitated a bit and asked with anticipation: "Are you...concerned about me?"

Vu Hy lowered her eyes, not showing too much emotion but still slowly replied:

"Um... so come in here, I'll see if your wound is serious.."

Lin Trach Van heard that, paused for a second then happily said: "okay" then followed her into the room..

As for her, where Lam Trach Van couldn't see, she was smiling sinisterly, thinking to herself: "What an idiot.."
