The biggest news at Hogwarts right now?
Without a doubt, it's Snape's transformation.
Big news, huge news, absolutely shocking!
Even the Ministry of Magic is stunned!
Men fall silent upon hearing it, women burst into tears!
If you're not sharing this, you're not British!
A young wizard from a Muggle family: "Merlin's beard! How did this reach the wizarding world?!"
"Mate, didn't they say we're supposed to be fifty years behind? Who said we're落后? Our wizarding world is way ahead of the curve."
There had always been wild rumors among the students, spread by the Weasley twins. Some Ravenclaws dismissed them entirely, thinking it was just Gryffindor nonsense.
But now it's confirmed, and it's still just as shocking. After all, gossip like this usually isn't reliable. There's even a rumor going around that Dumbledore and the Dark Lord had a fling!
Who could've imagined that the aloof Professor Snape would have such a dramatic twist?
Until the evidence was undeniable, who would've believed that Snape's news was actually true?
But after he transformed into a female professor, his orientation still seems to lean toward men, so… does that make it regular heterosexuality now?
Speaking of which, Professor Snape's potion-making skills are incredible. To create a potion like this? If it could be used for pranks, it'd be absolutely brilliant. That's what the Weasley twins thought, anyway—they found the whole thing hilarious.
Others, though, were terrified. Students were already intimidated by Snape, and now they're even more scared.
Many professors were baffled. Some of the older ones, who knew Snape had no issues, had even taught him when he was a student. They were aware of his connection to James Potter and Lily Evans, like Professor McGonagall—
Snape was relatively young among the professors. He graduated from Hogwarts in 1978 and became the Potions professor in 1981. He was undeniably a gifted wizard.
During his school years, Dumbledore had long stopped teaching classes himself. McGonagall, however, had been the Transfiguration professor since 1956.
That was the same year Dumbledore officially became Headmaster. Of course, even before that, as arguably the most powerful wizard in the world, he'd had immense influence at Hogwarts. Dumbledore only delayed taking the role because he preferred to let things unfold naturally.
He was remarkably restrained about power and status, and deeply dedicated to teaching.
During this time, Voldemort—still presenting himself as the charming Tom Riddle—repeatedly applied to teach at Hogwarts, but Dumbledore turned him down every time.
After failing to secure a position, Voldemort wandered the world, gathering followers and formally building his army of Death Eaters and monstrous allies.
Dumbledore's refusal was clearly the right call.
Tom Riddle, hiding his malevolent nature, was utterly unfit for the role of a teacher.
There's a widely circulated rumor at Hogwarts that Voldemort cursed the Defense Against the Dark Arts position, ensuring no professor could hold it for long without some mishap. Every Defense professor seems to face an accident within a year, forcing them to leave.
This curse might actually be real. For years, no Defense professor managed to stay on for a second term. In the last decade, though, as Voldemort's power waned, there were a few years where nothing catastrophic happened—just temporary professors filling in for a year before moving on.
Voldemort's logic: If I can't have it, no one can.
This curse is so mysterious that even Harry can't figure out how Voldemort managed it. There's no explaining how he created a curse that even Dumbledore couldn't break. Maybe Voldemort was truly at the forefront of curse-making.
If Harry were Voldemort, unable to defeat Dumbledore directly but armed with this kind of skill, he'd definitely try setting up a sneaky curse trap to take him down.
Heh, I'd win for sure.
Or perhaps it wasn't a curse at all. Maybe Voldemort's sheer hatred left behind a more powerful kind of magic.
Every wizard, as a child, can do things instinctively that they might not be able to replicate as adults. That raw, uncontrollable magic is pure instinct—chaotic, but potent.
Magic is like that: its baseline is ordinary spells, but its upper limits are beyond imagination.
Even Snape couldn't figure out who was behind it. Who could create such a shocking transformation potion?
It completely altered a person's form, came with a set of summonable magical armor, boosted strength, made them impervious to blades and bullets, and even granted the ability to summon ice magic.
All it took was shouting a string of bizarre, incomprehensible incantations like "Dark Fairy Full Transformation" and "Lababa, Power of the Dark God!"—probably Chinese, right? That unleashed even stronger dark magic.
What's that about "mai de yin chai na ma"?
The most powerful potions over there are usually solid, spherical ones, aren't they? A mix of Eastern and Western magic? What kind of power is this?
The duration… the potion's power cycles endlessly, never fading… it's permanent.
Potions as a field no longer exists.
No, this isn't potions. This is theology.
At first, Snape was furious and shocked, but when he saw his new appearance clearly, his feelings became complicated, and his anger gradually faded.
Harry had been secretly observing the victim's reaction. In theory, he could use another ritual to control the "chosen one," issuing commands through dreams via the Dark Soul, giving omens, and slowly corrupting them into a mentally enslaved pawn.
Or he could just drop the pretense, reveal himself, and forcefully invade Snape's mind with divine power. But that last method was too crude.
He didn't need another lackey, and giving that role to Snape was purely because he couldn't stand a man looking at him with adoring eyes.
Harry heard that Snape quickly accepted his new look. The professors in the know, seeing Snape's new form, began to understand.
It only hit Harry afterward: Snape's transformation bore some resemblance to his mother.
Though Harry had poured his earliest longing for a woman into the spell—naturally tying it to the concept of his mother—the transformation was a two-way process. For it to have this effect, could it mean… Snape had been longing for Harry's mother all this time?
Harry got it. This guy…
He's definitely trying to turn into Mum to seduce Dad!
Hagrid, you sneaky bastard…
Oh well, at least he's easier on the eyes now.
To go this far for Dad, he's quite the devoted romantic.
Other professors assumed Snape's transformation was his own doing—a disguise spell he'd developed himself. After all, as a Potions master, he was the most likely candidate to pull it off. Many thought Snape's obsession with Lily had driven him to madness.
But Snape knew it wasn't him. He didn't do this.
Before acting, Harry had used the Dark Soul to implant a suggestion in Snape, giving him the subconscious urge to keep it secret while temporarily lowering his suspicions toward Harry.
The Dark Soul could do far more than that. Harry was already restraining himself with this power. He could've turned Snape into a mindless husk, but that would've caused irreparable damage to his brain.
