After sharing a life-and-death experience of falling off a cliff into a river, Nevaeh and Cassius had grown much closer.
When Nevaeh saw him standing at the door, she didn't notice his gloomy expression. After all, he always had that cold demeanor.
She walked over, grabbed his arm, and smiled as she told him, "After several acupuncture sessions, Grandpa's leg is much better. From now on, we'll do it weekly, and he won't have any pain on rainy days."
Hearing this, Grandpa smiled and praised her, "Thanks to our Nevaeh, the miracle doctor! Otherwise, my leg would have been in agony."
Nevaeh chuckled and replied, "Grandpa, you're exaggerating! I'm not a miracle doctor at all."
"Not exaggerating at all! Our Nevaeh is truly amazing."
Grandpa's compliments only deepened the frown on Cassius's face.
