"Miss Qing." There was a trace of helplessness in Ning Wei's voice. The initial surprise on her face quickly changed into something else when Ning Wei saw the worry in Qing Ke's eyes.
Qing Ke did not speak. She rushed to Ning Wei's side while giving her daughter a lookover. "Are you alright? Are you injured?"
"I'm fine." Ning Wei lifted her hand and pulled up her sleeve to show Qing Ke a bruise. "Other than a few bruises on my body, I'm fine."
Qing Ke grabbed Ning Wei's hand to inspect the bruise. She wanted to check on other parts of Ning Wei's body as well, but realized that this was not a good place or time.
If someone walked in and saw Ning Wei's body, they would get into trouble.
Qing Ke heaved a sigh before pulling Ning Wei into her embrace. "Wei Wei, you scare me." She tightened her arms around Ning Wei's shoulder, pulling her daughter close to her chest. A few seconds later, Qing Ke loosened her grip again as she recalled that her daughter was a patient.
