Chapter 145: Raschlong vs. Elton, Christy, and Tongsheng
Raschlong lunged forward, both blood-red swords blazing with purple demonic ki, the sheer destructive might of a Mortal Lord behind every swing. His strikes tore through the air toward Elton, who tightened his stance, raising the Blue Star Heavenly Destroyer to meet the onslaught.
Steel met steel in a flurry of deafening clashes.
Christy darted around the demon with incredible speed, her movements sharp and precise. Every step sought an opening—her glowing palms and lethal fist techniques aiming for Raschlong's weak points. But Raschlong, well aware of her danger, was always ready to block or counter.
Tongsheng never ceased her assault, constantly recalling her fired arrows and loosing them again whenever she caught a glimpse of an opening. Raschlong dodged when he could, and when he couldn't, his swords deflected her shots in flurries of sparks.
Alongside them, three other Gold-tier experts—two at 4th tier and one at 5th tier—pressed in with their weapons and support skills, forcing the demon to fight on multiple fronts.
Boom!
Schliiiing!
Clang!
The miasma in the air thickened, darker than before, but those with crimson eyes—and Elton—remained unaffected. Christy, however, was beginning to feel its weight. The longer the fight went on, the more it drained her, a fact that frustrated her deeply. Even Raschlong, a mighty Early-stage Mortal Shedding Realm expert, was beginning to show faint strain—yet his tenacity didn't falter.
"Gwaak!"
One of Raschlong's red swords sliced clean through one of the Crimson-eyed Gold-tier experts in the blink of an eye.
– White Lightning Spear Barrage –
Elton's jaw tightened. In a burst of rage, he unleashed a storm of lightning spears, the barrage slamming into Raschlong in rapid succession. A wave of thunderous explosions erupted, filling the air with burning, smoke-laced ozone.
"Hmph!!"
A surge of demonic ki blasted outward, scattering the remnants of Elton's attack. Raschlong emerged from the haze—armor cracked, soot staining his form, light injuries across his body—but his killing intent only grew sharper.
Before he could rush Elton, a crimson-glowing arrow streaked toward him with terrifying speed.
Raschlong snarled, crossing his swords to block. The arrow shattered against him—but not before exploding into countless shards, embedding themselves into his flesh. His fury surged.
"You pest… I'll dispose of you now!"
The pressure of the Mortal Shedding Realm poured down like a tidal wave as Raschlong charged Tongsheng, his swords radiating violent demonic sword-ki.
– Mortal Demonic Killing Sword: Burning Cut –
Tongsheng's chest tightened under the crushing aura. She clenched her teeth, unable to dodge, ready to face death head-on.
– Lightning Star Collision –
In that instant, Elton released a colossal Lightning Sword-ki projectile, carving a ravine into the ground as it tore toward Raschlong. The demon was forced to divert his killing strike to intercept, his blade colliding with Elton's attack in a blinding explosion of sparks and steel.
– Akaboshi Gobaku –
Christy's left hand rose skyward, a massive, static-charged orb of energy forming above. With a single sweeping motion, she sent it hurtling down into the very heart of the clash between Elton and Raschlong.
The result was catastrophic.
BOOOOOOM!!!
An explosion engulfed the entire battlefield, uprooting trees, scattering corpses, and swallowing friend and foe alike in the blast. Raschlong bore the brunt of the recoil, his form blasted back through the carnage.
When the dust settled, a thick haze of smoke blanketed the land. Christy rushed to Tongsheng, hauling her up before running to Elton. Both women were panting heavily, their bodies covered in wounds. Elton's breathing was steadier, though his gaze was fixed sharply on where Raschlong had been.
In the distance, all other nearby battles had come to a halt. Many had been swept up in the blast.
The Silent Harrow leader, bleeding heavily, finally gave up any thought of victory and fled. The few surviving members followed—but most never made it far, torn apart by the endless flood of Crimson-eyed monsters and warriors.
Back near Elton's group, the ground trembled.
A wave of overwhelming demonic energy burst forth, scattering the lingering smoke.
"Hahaha! Good! Very good!! Let's see how much longer you rats can last!"
Raschlong's towering figure emerged, armor fractured and streaked with blood, yet still standing strong. His two red swords blazed with a renewed purplish demonic light.
"You two—stay with Shayleaf and guard her. Recover your strength. I'll hold this bastard off," Elton ordered, his tone grim and unyielding.
"But Master, you can't!" Tongsheng cried.
"Gege!! I won't let you!" Christy's voice shook with defiance.
"This isn't up for discussion!" Elton's voice hardened, carrying the weight of command. "Right now, as you are, you'll only slow me down. Help will come soon—just follow my lead!"
Christy flinched, eyes shimmering, almost in tears. Tongsheng clenched her fists, head lowering in reluctant acceptance.
"Fine, Gege… but the moment I feel you're in danger, I won't hesitate to join you—reckless or not," Christy said, her voice trembling.
Elton gave a faint, wry smile—but said nothing more.
Without giving Raschlong the chance to move first, Elton became a bolt of lightning, charging straight in.
"Hahaha!! You will be subdued, Key! DIE!!!"
Raschlong bellowed, meeting Elton head-on.
The one-on-one battle began, the ground shaking beneath each devastating clash.
