The man looked stared back at me , did not look like the one I had lived with for the last four years .
His gentle voice , his careful touch - everything seemed like a lie now .
I did not like it at all.
I wanted him to come back to me again. I wanted him to become the Liam that I loved , again.
" Julia , didn't I tell you to wait for me there ?," he asked . His eyes were almost hidden behind his messy hair . But they burnt blue like they had caught fire .
" Please," I begged , I was scared ....I was more scared of him than Seymore ," Please ...let's go home ."
" Wait for me in the car ."
I could not leave him there .
I knew that if I went back now , Seymore would disappear.
He would probably be up in the news like my father .
" Let's go back ," I told him ," I need you , now ."
A flash of annoyance passed over his eyes , I flinched .
" Go sit in the car ," he ordered, he would not take a ' no ' for an answer .
" Liam," my heart beat was rising , I could hear the blood rushing to my head ," I don't feel so good ...."
I could feel my knees getting weak .
Maybe I was just dizzy cause adrenaline was disappearing from my veins . Maybe I was oozy from seeing so much blood.
But if my sickness was what that would bring my husband back to his sense , I would show him that .
I knew that I was exaggerating my symptoms.
I was not like I had lost all sense of balance but I let myself fall .
When my face was inches away from the concrete, I studied myself on my palms.
A throbbing pain was born on my wrist .
" Julia !"
Relived , I found Liam sitting before me.
His eyes were full of panick and worry .
He looked like my husband now .
Now that he was within my grip , I caged him in my arms ," I don't feel good at all ," I told him , closing my eyes ," Let's go home ,now."
" Let's get you to the ER ," he picked me up .
" No ," I shook my head ," Call the doctor in our house ,I want to go back there ."
The cut at the side of his forehead seemed small . Even that small wound had managed to splash blood down from his ears to his shirt .
Tears choked my throat .
He was hurt ....but he was still worrying for me , first .
I wrapped my arms tightly around his neck .
" Julia ?," he asked ," Does it hurt somewhere ? Oh god !"
I wiped my tears on his blood soiled shirt .
" You must have been scared ," I realised that ," I am so sorry that you had to see that ."
The way he had acted was not normal at all ....or maybe it was ...maybe that was how people are supposed to act when they are in love .
I could not completely blame him. Since , I would have done the same if he was hurt .
" What are you talking about ?," he played it nonchalantly but I knew that I had stuck the right point .
I missed his neck ," I am alright so let's go home first ."
I wanted to console him off the fear .
The more I touched him, the more real he was becoming.
Now that the Liam who had scared me , seemed like a nightmare.
He helped me sit in the backseat .
I knew that he intended to go back .
" If you go now , I will jump from the moving car ," I threatened him.
" But , I have to burn his skin , Julia ....he touched you ," Liam said like it was something obvious," I have to make him scream louder ."
More cars were pulling in the parking lot , now .
The men coming out of those cars - I recognised some of them.
They worked in the security team of Sunshine corporation.
But none of them were in uniform today .
" You can't leave me ,now , " I shook my head ," I am so scared ."
" I will call your brother for you ."
" But I feel safer with you ," I insisted ," If I go back without you ,I will feel like Seymore had followed me home ."
" Don't worry , he won't have legs after this to follow you anywhere ."
" I will die if you leave me alone now ,"I started to blackmail my husband," I don't know if my brother or anyone can stop me from jumping down from the roof ."
" Julia , they won't allow you -"
" Liam...there are others ways too ."
He pressed his lips tightly, frustrated at my stubborness.
" Why are you doing this now ?," he asked , finally ,defeated .
" Cause I want you to go back with me ."
" I can ask the security to bind you to the bed ."
" So you want to treat me like an animal ," I played my last card ," It's just the way my father used to do it too ."
He flinched .
I could see pain and flicker in his eyes .
" I am so sorry,I did not mean that ," he wrapped his arms around me ," I will go with you ."
I knew that was a foul move.
But atleast , I could take my husband back with me .
It was a better option that letting Liam , slowly turn into a serial killer .
