Chapter 123 - YGS [123]

After completing the bulk purchase of Scratch Cards and restocking other supplies, Luya could finally close up for the day.

Though honestly, today's operations had been handled almost entirely by Ganyu. Whether it was processing customer orders or managing small incidents, she handled everything flawlessly. From a boss's perspective, she was the perfect employee.

After adding several new facilities to the store, Master Lu, exhausted from the long day, turned off the last light, returned to his room, and got ready for bed.

He lay down on his soft mattress, eagerly awaiting the arrival of tomorrow.

In just a few days, Xianyun's portable console research and the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata's network project would both yield results. Then all of Luya's grand plans could begin.

And of course, he couldn't wait to sell those Scratch Cards to all the gamblers of Teyvat.

Just imagining people crowding together, joyfully scratching away—the thought alone made the corners of his lips curl upward.

...

Night in Liyue Harbor quickly gave way to morning. Sunlight poured over the bustling streets, alleys, and the shimmering sea. The lively port city was once again full of vigor and activity.

People started their daily routines early. Street vendors had already set up their stalls, their goods colorful and abundant. Breakfast stands filled the air with rich, tempting aromas. Children played and laughed in the streets, their cheerful voices echoing across Liyue Harbor.

Thanks to Luya, Yu-Gi-Oh! had become part of people's daily lives. Since he had begun selling Duel Disks, duels could now be found anywhere—on the streets, plazas, or open spaces throughout the city.

At Yujing Terrace, a crowd had gathered to watch Keqing and Ningguang duel. Both women were deeply focused, carefully strategizing over their cards. The audience watched in suspense—sometimes cheering, sometimes sighing.

Albeit Keqing's [Swordsoul] Deck was simply too strong. Ningguang was defeated in just two turns. Determination flared in her eyes—she was resolved to acquire a stronger deck for their next match.

...

At Feiyun Slope, Luya opened the store early as usual. The moment he did, Ganyu was already there waiting.

"Good morning, Shopkeeper..."

Though they'd met many times now, Ganyu still seemed a little shy. Yesterday, after her duel, she had begun to open up slightly—yet after a single night's rest, she was back to her bashful self. Still, that was part of her charm.

"Hahaha, morning, Ganyu~ You're so punctual, you've been waiting long, haven't you? If you haven't eaten, I'll have the kitchen prepare something for you."

The moment Luya mentioned the kitchen, Ganyu's eyes widened in surprise and curiosity.

"What… there's a restaurant now!? What's going on!?"

Other customers waiting nearby overheard and were just as shocked. They exchanged astonished looks.

"No way!?"

"That means we don't have to worry about lunch anymore!?"

"That's amazing!!!"

"I wonder what kind of cuisine the Shopkeeper serves."

"Liyue-style? Mond-style?"

"I doubt it's that simple!"

"Everything the Shopkeeper sells—drinks, snacks—it's all stuff I've never even heard of… So this restaurant must be something special!"

"I can't wait to try it!"

"Same here!!!"

"Shopkeeper! I want to order!"

"Me too!!"

"Count me in—I'm lining up!"

...

Watching the customers' excitement, Luya smiled and addressed them.

"Everyone! The kitchen staff needs time to prepare ingredients. We'll officially open at 11 a.m.! So please, don't rush. Rest assured, there'll be enough for everyone. However... one dish is limited—only ten servings a day. So you'll need a bit of luck to get it, hahaha!"

At that, the gourmets among the crowd lit up with anticipation. Many were already bracing themselves.

Among all food lovers in Liyue Harbor, Zhongli was the most discerning. No dish could escape his refined taste. He and Hu Tao of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor had also arrived at Luya's shop. Hearing there was now a restaurant inside, Zhongli's interest was piqued. He was eager to step into the role of food critic and sample the dishes himself.

Nearby, Xiangling—holding Guoba—was equally curious. She wanted to see how Luya's restaurant compared to her own [Wanmin Restaurant].

When Luya fully opened the doors, customers poured in. Seeing even more people than yesterday, he couldn't help but marvel at how his business was booming. Then, seizing the moment, he raised his voice.

"Everyone!!! Our store has a new product today! It's called the Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Card! Only 2,000 Mora per card! You can win anything… even a Vision itself! As long as luck's on your side, you might just scratch out a Vision!"

Of course... that part about scratching out a Vision was pure nonsense. Luya had only ever scratched one card himself. Yet as a marketing line, it worked perfectly.

The crowd tensed up in shock.

"What!?"

"Are you serious..."

"A Vision!!!?"

"Scratch, scratch, scratch!!"

"Give me ten pulls!!!"
