Chapter 209 - YGS [209]

After finishing the presentation on Liyue's future development plan, Luya was extremely excited.

Luya decided to immediately begin improving Liyue Harbor's infrastructure. As a result he arrived at the entrance of his shop.

Ever since Yu-Gi-Oh! appeared in Charlotte's manuscript and was later published in The Steambird, people from Fontaine, Sumeru, Inazuma, and Snezhnaya had surged into Liyue Harbor like a tide.

The original scale of Luya's shop could no longer accommodate such a massive flow of customers, making him realize that he now needed to expand rapidly.

First, Luya planned to open more shops to broaden his business. At the same time, he needed to ensure that these new stores could provide the same services as the original.

Plus, due to the explosive influx of customers, items such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Cards, Starter Decks, and Duel Disks were in short supply.

To meet demand, he not only needed to increase inventory but also create more branch stores and monster shopkeepers.

In response, Luya, without hesitation, took out nearly a hundred Waifu Cards from his pocket. With a gentle wave of his hand, the cards burst into radiant light. These Waifu Cards began emitting dazzling brilliance and gradually materialized.

The first to appear were the Mischievous Trickstars, dressed in gorgeous outfits and brimming with charm. They moved gracefully, as though they were enchanting beings from a fairytale.

Next appeared a group of adorable Tearlaments. These girls, glistening like dewdrops, made people instinctively want to protect them.

Finally, a troupe of beautiful and elegant Marincess girls emerged, as if walking upon waves. A soft blue glow shimmered across their bodies, making them resemble spirits of the sea and lending a refreshing sense of tranquility to the scene.

In an instant, the entrance of the shop was bathed in dazzling, multicolored light. Nearly a hundred beautiful female shopkeepers, each with her own distinct charm, appeared as if in a dream.

The spectacular sight caused passersby to stop in their tracks, watching in awe.

Luya looked upon everything he created with satisfaction.

With so many captivating shopkeepers, the shop will definitely attract even more customers...

With these nearly one hundred female monster shopkeepers—and following the standard of assigning two employees per shop—Luya would now be able to open fifty new card shops.

Luya also considered that those capable of traveling to Liyue Harbor were generally financially well-off. In present-day Teyvat, without airplanes, high-speed rail, or other modern transportation, long-distance travel was still extremely costly for ordinary people.

Facing customers with real spending power, Luya understood that only by providing abundant, diverse products and continually optimizing service quality could he keep them coming while attracting even more newcomers.

Therefore, he needed more shops to host all these people. Opening more shops was absolutely necessary.

And Luya intended to turn Liyue Harbor into a Duel City. Not only did he need shops—many duel-related industries needed to be fully developed.

Now that Luya had become the new Emperor of Liyue Harbor, any buildings constructed upon unused land in Liyue were completely free. He only needed to pay material costs.

In response, Luya used the Land Construction function. He set his sights on the many open plots of land throughout Liyue. Immediately, shops began sprouting up like bamboo shoots after the rain.

Their distribution was meticulously arranged—not clustered together, nor scattered too widely. Whether near the remote The Chasm, the scenic Dihua Marsh, the peaceful Qingce Village, or the ancient Guili Plains, shops now dotted the landscape.

However, these shops had yet to be staffed and thus remained empty and quiet. But Luya already had a plan. Before long, these vacant storefronts would welcome waves of customers.

Because Luya was preparing to host a duel tournament across all of Liyue. By opening shops throughout the region, he ensured that in the future, no matter where one was, they would be able to purchase Yu-Gi-Oh! products.

However, his main concentration of shops was still in Liyue Harbor and Feiyun Slope.

As Luya continued constructing, Liyue Harbor and Feiyun Slope began to tremble. One shop after another bearing the name "Duel Monsters Specialty Shop" appeared. These stores emerged in undeveloped areas of open land, making it far easier for people to buy whatever they needed.

For the residents of Liyue Harbor and Feiyun Slope, such sights were no longer surprising. After all, Luya had caused similar large-scale spectacles many times before.

However, for people from other nations, the sudden appearance of countless shops left them utterly stunned. These buildings seemed to descend from the heavens, manifesting without warning before their eyes. Such miraculous scenes were far beyond ordinary comprehension.

People stopped to watch, bewildered and amazed. Some even wondered whether they were dreaming, but the solid, physical buildings before them left no room for doubt.

For a while, countless guesses and heated discussions spread like wildfire, plunging Liyue Harbor and Feiyun Slope into noise and chaos.

But after explanations from the Millelith, the crowds gradually calmed down.

Not only that—many Duel Stages also appeared throughout Liyue Harbor. And each Duel Stage had a QR code. These were shared Duel Stages designed by Luya.

Based on the standard Duel Stage, he added a QR code mobile payment feature. This way, even without entering a shop, people could still duel. Starting one of these stages was extremely easy: all one needed to do was use their game console's scanning function to pay digital Mora and activate the stage.

Luya believed that once this technology spread, it would greatly benefit the people of Liyue. These Duel Stages were just the beginning. In the future, all product purchases would also be payable by scanning a QR code.

For everyone in Teyvat, such a function would be incredibly convenient.
