"You want…to leave? But why…no, I mean, sure, you can do that if you want to. I will be happy to help you out."
Kaname looked confused and likely meant the question as well. Unfortunately for him, I was not going to grace him with an answer.
"I am happy to see that our thoughts align. You do not have to give me any money because I only worked a single day. I shall take my leave now."
I told Kaname as I tried to walk past him. But I had not even crossed the door to this room when Kaname reached for my hand.
His eyes widened as he looked at the tattoo on my hand, and then at me. But he looked resigned when he saw that there was no glow in the mark on my hands.
"You should be more careful with what you put on your body. This mark can cause a lot of trouble if you are not careful. If I were you, I won't move around leaving it in the open… least someone misunderstands."
That was the last advice the man gave me before I yanked my hand out of his grip and disappeared out of the room.
