The email came early in the morning too early for anything ordinary.
I was still in bed, silk sheets tangled around my legs, when Kade's knock came against the door. "You need to see this," he said, his voice carrying that rare tremor that meant something big.
Oh I had made him my personal assistant.
On his phone was the message:
Lysander Enterprises requests a private meeting with Mrs. Delysia Ravenwood, regarding mutual interests. Confidential, discretion, appreciated.
My eyes darted over it once, twice, again.
Lysander Enterprises.
Lucian Dreven.
The greatest man in the city right now?
I'd heard of him, of course. Who hadn't? The man was a myth dressed in a suit known for making billionaires kneel with a signature, for building and breaking partnerships without ever raising his voice. A man no one really met, just encountered.
And now… he wanted a meeting.
I smiled slowly, a genuine one this time. "Book it."
