Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 {memory loss}

'Why did you take so long, why did you abandon me? I was worried about you, you make me so damn scared.' She sobbed, her lips trembling like a fragile cat expose to cold while Nathan pull her to the back coldly, his face bearing no emotion.

'Who are you frog?' he asked, his gaze cold which make amethyst's face drain of all color.

'Me… Nathan, it's me… amethyst, did you recognize or remember me?' she replied, looking into his eyes curiously for answers.

'Excuse me, you've got the wrong person please.' He said with his face aloof, as if he is not the Nathan she had known.

'Uh Nathan, don't play dirty tricks, is this what you would do after we parted? Did you suppose to start this childish play with me? I was damn worried about you and this is what you would do the first time we would meet? It isn't fair Nathan' she said, assuming that it was a play.

'get off me, you psycho freak, who the hell are you?' he cursed, glaring at her from head to toes as though she was an alien he had never seen before.

'N… Nathan…' she stammered, not knowing what to say before he cuts in.

'excuse me please.' He cut in and walk away while amethyst blinked repeatedly to be sure if she is not dreaming. She turn back to look at Nathan but he was still going, not bursting into laughter nor turning back to brush his hands through her hair playfully.

'do you really do not recognize me Nathan?' she lamented as she run after him but her phone ranged, capturing her attention. She removed it from her bag and check the caller ID but pause and look up at the retreating figure of Nathan as he walk away. She sighed and pick up the call.

'he is back, yes I know but don't you dare move close to him. He loose his memories, he had forgotten the past so don't you dare try to remind him of his pains, DONT! If you try moving close to him or he remembers anything because of you, I swear to the lord who made me, I would wipe out your family of two. Stay away from my SON! Lowly BITCH!!!' The supreme voice rang from the other side of the phone which make amethyst's brow furrowed, mouth agape.

'ma'am i… i… i…' she stammered but before she could say something tangible, the call ended.

'NO!' something screamed deep in her head. She can't loose Nathan, she cant loose him just like that. He loves her so much so he would remember sooner or later. He surely would remember and come to her, but… can she really wait till when he gains his memories himself?

She is more than impatient. It can't really be that Nathan would not remember her. She walk forward, looking around for him, but he is gone, nowhere around. She hurried in her steps, hoping that he would look into her eyes and say "now I remember, it's you purple" but she did not even see him again, talk less of hearing those words. She continued looking for him, then her gaze landed on the old classroom, the place he use to stay before she knows him. She walk toward it and pull the door open, walking into the old classroom but there is nobody there and cobwebs greeted her, dusty just as the way they left it last semester.

'Nathan.' She called to confirm, still looking around but no one answered. She stepped out of the room and look around, looking for Nathan like a kid who just lost her candy but to her greatest fear, he did not come to view.

It looks like it's becoming real!

Would she loose Nathan just like that?

Her eyes turn blurry with tears, her heart hurt so hard, as if a sledge hammer was slammed against it hardly. It is more that what you can imagine.

This is the last semester, if Nathan truly did not remember her till the end of this session, then this may be the last time she would see him. He would not be her close and best friend anymore, he would not talk to her like his sister anymore, they would not play and laugh hard as lovers any longer.

It got to be a prank!

This must be a prank!

It better be a prank!

Her eyes watered and tears streamed down her cheek as she keep lamenting: 'Nathan, where are you? It's me amethyst, I am your purple, you should remember me.' Turning this main verse to a song, she continues to sing as she look around for him, like a needle in a hay sack.

But the devastating truth can't be changed.

Even if she find him, what can she do? Absolutely nothing. She can't even tell him that she is his girlfriend now.
