*Chapter 6: "The Platinum Challenge"*
Damon and Saya stood before the platinum-rank dungeon. Saya's heart was racing with anticipation, a mix of fear and excitement evident in her eyes. Damon's thoughts, however, were focused on the challenge ahead, and how to keep Saya safe.
As they ventured deeper into the dungeon, they encountered a maze of mirrors and illusions. Damon realized the golems they were facing were unlike any he had fought before. "Saya, be careful. These golems are different from the ones I've faced. They're faster and smarter."
Saya nodded, her eyes locked on the golems. Damon stood guard, his shield at the ready as he defended Saya from the relentless golem attacks. With swift and precise strikes, he eliminated golem after golem, creating a safe perimeter around Saya. She, in turn, focused on taking down the golems, her sword slicing through their stone bodies with growing confidence.
Though it was Saya's first time facing these advanced golems, she quickly adapted, her movements becoming more fluid and calculated with each passing moment. Damon's protection allowed her to focus on her own attacks, and together they worked in perfect sync, their bond and trust in each other growing stronger with every defeated enemy.
After defeating several golems, Saya had taken down a total of 10, and Damon knew she was close to awakening. "Wait outside, Saya," Damon said, his voice firm. "I'll take care of the boss. You need to manage your awakening."
Saya hesitated, but Damon was insistent. She nodded and stepped outside the boss room, leaving Damon to face the master of illusions alone.
As she waited, a mysterious diamond bottle materialized in front of her. Without hesitation, she uncorked the bottle and drank its contents. A surge of energy coursed through her veins, and she felt her body and mind undergoing a transformation.
When the transformation was complete, Saya's eyes gleamed with excitement. She checked her status and saw that she had indeed chosen the Mage class. A sense of wonder filled her as she explored her new abilities.
Meanwhile, inside the boss room, Damon's battle with the master of illusions raged on. The outcome was far from certain, and Saya's anxiety grew with each passing moment.
