Chapter 102 - Currency *6in1

As the members of the accelerated magic training class graduated, they left the castle and returned to their respective cities.

Hogsmeade, Bree, and Isengard suddenly became lively.

Everyone knew that the more than five hundred people originally selected had gone to the lord's castle, successfully became wizards, and remained there to study magic.

Now that these people were returning home, everyone was both curious and expectant.

First came the establishment of the Auror Department. Its headquarters was founded in Hogsmeade, led by Director Brogg, with branch offices in Bree and Isengard.

Aurors generally did not handle ordinary civilian matters and were not under the jurisdiction of city mayors. Their main duties were to respond to invasions of dark creatures such as wights, orcs, and trolls, as well as to manage magical incidents and crimes committed by wizards.

With over five hundred wizards now in existence—and more expected to emerge—even Luke could not guarantee that all would stay lawful.

After all, as the saying goes,'A sharp weapon awakens the desire to kill'—how much more so for those who wield wands and magic?

To prevent these wizards from acting recklessly, Luke established the Auror Department in advance, hanging a sword of Damocles over their heads.

In addition to the Auror Department, Luke also created the Department of Magical Transportation.

This department was responsible for building and operating the Floo Network, producing Floo Powder, and managing Portkeys and other magical modes of travel.

The Department of Magical Transportation was small, with only a dozen employees, including those Luke had taught to craft flying broomsticks.

Its headquarters, like the Auror Department, was located in Hogsmeade, in the same tall black tower beside the Black Lake.

This tower had been built in just one day by the combined effort of the five hundred wizards. The construction was concealed by powerful magic, invisible to ordinary people. Only those with magical power could see this towering structure—the tallest in Hogsmeade—standing by the lake.

Luke named the tower the Ministry of Magic. Its internal layout was modeled after the Ministry from another magical world.

The first floor was the main hall—a grand atrium with many fireplaces, security counters, and a fountain. At the center of the fountain stood a golden dragon statue, upon whose back was a figure of Luke, wearing the Crown of Wisdom, a magnificent cloak, and holding a wand.

The statue was forged from gold donated by the five hundred wizards as a token of gratitude to their lord.

The second floor housed the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, including the Auror Headquarters—the judicial branch.

The third floor was the Department of Magical Transportation, with offices for the Floo Network Authority, Broomstick Management, and the Portkey Office.

The fourth floor was the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, currently in charge of managing the dragon ranch's young drakes.

The fifth floor was the Department of International Magical Cooperation, responsible for communication and collaboration with other nations and races—especially strengthening ties with elves, dwarves, humans, hobbits, and ents to jointly resist Sauron's dark forces.

The sixth floor was the Department of Magical Games and Sports, organizing Quidditch leagues and related activities.

The seventh floor was the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, responsible for dealing with magical mishaps.

The eighth floor was the courtroom for criminal trials.

The ninth floor housed the Department of Mysteries, dedicated to magical research—delving into magical phenomena and their essence, and conducting experiments.

The top floor, the tenth, was reserved for Luke himself—the office of the Minister for Magic.

At present, aside from the Auror and Transportation Departments, most of the Ministry remained unstaffed. However, Luke was in no hurry; as the number of wizards grew, the Ministry would gradually be completed.

With the return of the five hundred wizards to their homes, the first to get busy was the Department of Magical Transportation.

In addition to producing Floo Powder, its members traveled across regions, installing special fireplaces for wizarding households applying to connect to the Floo Network.

Thus, wizards could travel via fireplace simply by purchasing Floo Powder.

A single scoop of Floo Powder—enough for a family for a month—could be bought at the Department of Magical Transportation for one silver coin.

Speaking of currency, the monetary systems across Middle-earth were diverse. In Gondor, the currency was called Castar, or Carnas—a silver coin—alongside the golden Mirian, brass coins, and copper pennies.

Rohan used similar coinage, while elves and dwarves each had their own currencies.

In Eriador, west of the Misty Mountains, currencies were even more chaotic—coins from Gondor, dwarves, and elves all circulated. In Bree, even coins from the long-fallen Kingdom of Arnorr were still in use.

These coins varied greatly in value: dwarven silver coins, often mixed with mithril, were more valuable than ordinary gold coins; elven coins, finely crafted and with higher silver content, were also more precious than those of Gondor or Rohan. Arnorrian coins, being ancient relics, carried collector's value beyond mere currency.

As Hogsmeade and Bree flourished, especially with the Vanishing Cabinet connecting them and Isengard linking to Rohan and Gondor, currencies of all kinds began circulating throughout Luke's territory.

Ordinary citizens possessing old Arnorrian coins often had no idea of their true worth, using them in trade with foreign merchants and suffering losses.

Even merchants from Gondor and Rohan paid in their own coins, making trade complicated due to differing values.

Both mayors, Larry and Larch, reported these issues to Luke.

To resolve them, Luke ordered the creation of a wizarding bank and the issuance of a unified currency.

He adopted the magical world's system: gold Galleons, silver Sickles, and bronze Knuts.

However, instead of the complex exchange rates of 1 Galleon = 17 Sickles = 29 Knuts, Luke simplified it to 1 Galleon = 10 Sickles, and 1 Sickle = 10 Knuts, more suitable for Middle-earth's economy.

The new wizarding coins were crafted using goblin techniques—beautifully designed, imbued with magic, untarnishable, and eternally radiant.

Thus, a white marble building called Gringotts rose in Hogsmeade.

The newly issued wizarding currency quickly gained popularity among the citizens of Hogsmeade and Bree.

Everyone exchanged all their gold, silver, and bronze coins for Gringotts - issued Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts.

Furthermore, figures such as mayor Larry, the mayor of Hogsmeade, Lucky Larch, the mayor of Breeze, and Buttercup, the owner of the Prancing Pony Inn, all deposited their wealth into Gringotts to show their support for the Lord.

Out-of-town merchants also readily accepted the currency issued by Gringotts, as the gold Galleons, silver Sickles, and bronze Nats appeared to be of high purity and exquisitely designed, making them immediately recognizable.

It's worth keeping as a collectible, let alone at such a good price.

then readily accepted the wizarding currency as their medium of exchange and brought it back to various parts of Middle -earth.

Gradually, this currency came into use throughout Eriador, and even circulated in Gondor and Rohan.

Later, even within Soren's sphere of influence, the presence of Galleons, Sikor, and Bronze Nat appeared, such as in the Eastern Barbarian regions of the Far East.

Gringotts in Middle-earth does not have goblins; it is run by a group of wizards. While Gringotts is relatively independent, it is still subject to the oversight of the Ministry of Magic.

Most wizards were assigned to positions in the Ministry of Magic or Gringotts, or became Aurors or employees of the Department of Magical Transportation, Bank employee, etc.

A select few with exceptional talent remained at Hogwarts Castle to further their studies, becoming stave makers, potion makers, herbalists, and flying broomstick makers, among other professions.

The remaining wizards returned to their respective homes. The most important thing has been released.

A woman named Rose, skilled in spinning, was taught magical weaving techniques by Alme.

So, upon returning to Hogsmeade, this woman opened "Mrs. Ross's Robes Shop," specializing in using magic to quickly weave exquisite fabrics and create various garments. Influenced by her teacher, Arwen, her creations were beautiful and possessed an elegant elven style.

In addition to selling ordinary clothing, Mrs. Rose also imported a batch of spider silk fabric woven by giant spiders, which was then tailored into various exquisite and gorgeous garments.

Despite their high price, they remained popular with the wealthy and were even exported to Rohan and Gondor, becoming sought-after garments among the nobility.

After all, who wouldn't love clothes that are soft, comfortable, invulnerable, and incredibly beautiful ?

Furthermore, as Lady Rose's magical abilities improved, she obtained precious dragon hides from the castle and used them to create magical clothing with a certain degree of magic resistance, capable of withstanding ordinary spells.

He became a renowned master tailor.

And then there's Butterfly, the owner of the Prancing Horse Inn, who, after returning from his studies at the castle, continued to run his family inn.

Furthermore, he unexpectedly gained inspiration for butterbeer from the lord, and after a year of studying at the castle, he finally succeeded in figuring out how to make it.

And so, butterbeer quickly became the most popular drink at the Prancing Horse Inn.

The taste is somewhat like a less cloying hard butter candy, containing a small amount of alcohol. Although it's called beer, it's more like a beverage, suitable for all ages.

It was not only popular in Breeze and Hogsmeade, but also sold as far as the Shire, The Valley, and Gondor, becoming one of the most famous beverages in Middle-earth.

Furthermore, the owner, Mr. Butterflower, combined magic to create Flame Whiskey, a rather strong magical liquor. Drinking it gives one a burning sensation in the throat and a feeling of burning throughout the body, and it can dispel cold, enhance courage, and has special effects in comforting the frightened or grieving.

with both the northern humans and dwarves, becoming the dwarves' favorite spirit, which they imported directly with large sums of gold coins.

May the Butterflower continuously reap a fortune, making him the richest person in Brie.

Besides butterbeer and flaming whiskey, Buttercream also makes giggle-inducing water, energizing jelly water, and bubble water that keeps blowing bubbles—

What Buttercream is most proud of is his dragon's blood wine.

As the name suggests, this wine is brewed with dragon's blood. Due to the rarity of the raw materials, its production is extremely limited, and only a lucky few have ever tasted its flavor.

Furthermore, it was favored by the lord and became the exclusive food for banquets at Hogwarts Castle.

This dragon's blood wine possesses miraculous effects, enhancing physical strength and magical abilities; it is one of Butterfly Chrysanthemum's greatest achievements.

Aside from Mrs. Rose and Mr. Butterflower, the other wizards also experienced different developments.

After receiving guidance from Luke, clever wizards combined magic to create various magical candies, replicating Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Chocolate Frog, Bubble Gum, and Spicy Bee Candy from another world.

Furthermore, with the production of flying broomsticks, it became common to see people riding them through the sky in Brieville, Hogsmeade, and Isengard, drawing gasps and envy from the crowds below.

Before they knew it, ten years had passed, and the year was 2960.

It was his friend Bilbo's birthday, Luke once again gifted him a bottle of the elixir of immortality to celebrate his 70th birthday.

Due to the elixir of immortality, Bilbo's appearance remained unchanged, except for a few more years showing in his eyes.

He spent most of his time in his home, happily preparing his breakfast, second breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper every day. In his spare time, he would sit in the small garden, sunbathing, smoking his pipe, and reading the newspaper.

Occasionally, they would visit Hogwarts Castle via the fireplace.

Luke and Arwen would always have him stay at the castle for a while.

Luke once asked Bilbo if he wanted to become a wizard.

But Bilbo shook his head and refused.

Bilbo is an easily satisfied hobbit; he possesses not only the adventurous genes inherited from the Took family, but also the easygoing optimism of the Baggins family.

So he's quite content with his current life; while he's amazed by magic, he doesn't have much of a desire to become a wizard.

for Bilbo's choice and was even more impressed with it.

He sensed in Bilbo the purest qualities of the hobbits.

Previously, he was able to relinquish the One Ring, a temptation even the Maiar couldn't resist ; now, he has rejected the allure of magical powers without hesitation.

Such a person is destined to be the protagonist, and becomes the key to changing the fate of Middle Earth.

Over the past decade, the more than five hundred wizards have all experienced different developments.

Some of these wizards are adults, and many have long since settled down with families and careers.

They either formed families with male and female witches, or married ordinary people, and thus had offspring.

Surprisingly, whether from a family of male and female witches or a family of wizards and ordinary people, the children born into these families all possessed innate magical powers.

Thus, encouraged by the lord to have children, almost every wizarding family had at least three children.

In addition, over the next ten years, Luke conducted another selection process for wizards, choosing another five hundred individuals to undergo bloodline fusion and successfully transform into wizards.

Therefore, there are now nearly three thousand wizards in his territory.

What surprised and delighted Luke the most was that Alwen gently placed his hand on her abdomen, her smiling eyes sparkling like stars.

"Luke, congratulations on becoming a father !"

"Really !?"Luke's eyes widened in disbelief, his expression more vivid than ever before.

Arwen, radiating maternal warmth, nodded with a beaming smile :"It's been a month already ; I only realized it yesterday."

Hearing Arwen's words, Luke was both surprised and delighted. He carefully touched his wife's still flat belly, using magic to sense what was inside.

Then he sensed a faint, yet undeniably real, fluctuation of life within it.

Overwhelmed with joy, Luke grinned foolishly and exclaimed ecstatically,"I'm going to be a dad! I'm going to be a dad !"

He happily picked up his wife, excitedly and cautiously spinning her around a few times, repeatedly saying,"I'm going to be a father !"

Seeing her husband grinning like a fool, Alma, tender and loving, wrapped her arms around his neck, letting him vent his joy.

initial euphoria subsided, Luke regretted his rough handling, acting as if he were guarding a fragile treasure. He quickly helped his wife sit down, muttering to himself :

"No, you're pregnant now, you need to rest. Put everything else aside, I'll stay by your side every step of the way. Inform Lord Elrond and Lady Galadriel — and recruit a few more caregivers. Allensis is quite skilled in potion-making, and Amanda has a good grasp of medical magic ; bring them both to the castle—"

Listening to her husband's incessant chatter, Arwen was both amused and exasperated. She reassured him,"Luke, I'm just pregnant, not some fragile crystal. Don't be so nervous. When my mother was pregnant with me, she even crossed the Misty Mountains to visit my grandparents in Lorien."

Arwen spent a long time calming her husband down, and he stopped insisting on having any caregivers or anything like that.

But Luke still intends to temporarily set aside all his other affairs and stay by his side at all times.

Furthermore, they summoned Lady Amanda, the most skilled in medical magic, and Allensis, the most outstanding in potion-making, to the castle, just in case.

Amanda and Allensis were both among the first students in the accelerated magic program. Amanda displayed exceptional talent in medical magic, and in the ten years after graduation, she not only mastered various medical spells but also, through Arwen's introduction, traveled to the Valley to study medicine under Elrond, the best physician in Middle-earth.

Her medical skills are now extremely refined, earning praise from Elrond. Even Luke cannot compare to Amanda in medical magic.

Allensis, however, was the most talented potion maker among that group of students. After graduation, he stayed at the castle to continue studying potions, and even received instruction in Professor Snape's potion notes from Luke, causing his skills to improve by leaps and bounds.

Allensis making skills are now only one step away from becoming a Potions Master.

The criteria for judging a Potions Master are not merely the ability to create various high-grade potions to perfect quality, but also the ability to create or invent new potions, or to improve existing ones.

Now, Allensis is capable of crafting potions of perfect quality, and has even successfully created a potion of Felix Felicis.

To become a Potions Master, all that's missing is improving or inventing a new potion.

And that time isn't far off, because Allensis is currently inventing a similar potion, drawing inspiration from the ent draught.

Besides summoning the physician Amanda and the potion master Allensis, Luke also made sure to share the good news of Arwen's pregnancy with Elrond in the Valley, as well as with Caleborn and Galadriel in Lorean.

Upon receiving the news, Elrond immediately traveled to Hogwarts Castle via the Vanishing Cabinet.

Galadriel and Celeborn followed closely behind, arriving from Lorien.

As the most outstanding physician in Middle-earth, Elrond immediately examined Arwen upon his arrival.

As a loving father, Elrond was both happy for his daughter's pregnancy and somewhat worried.

However, after the inspection, I finally breathed a sigh of relief.

His son-in-law nervous and anxious expression, he spoke gently and reassured him, "Arwen is in good health, and the children are fine too, you don't need to worry too much."

"That's good!" Hearing Elrond's words, Luke finally felt a weight lifted from his heart, but the next second he reacted, his eyes widening,"You mean — the children ?"

Arwen also looked surprised.

Elrond smiled and nodded."You're right, Arwen is carrying twins, it's just not obvious yet because it's still early in the pregnancy."

Luke was both surprised and delighted upon hearing this.

Twins? He hadn't expected to have twins so soon ; this was truly a double surprise !

However, upon closer inspection, the Elrond family does indeed have a tradition of having twins.

Elrond and Eiros, the first king of Númenor, were twins, as were Arwen's two elder brothers, Elrohir and Elladan.

Arwen is now pregnant with twins.

That really shows how strong the genes are.

Elrond's expression then turned serious and solemn, and he instructed Luke :

"Elves take longer to conceive than humans, up to three years, and the offspring continuously absorb nutrients and magic from their mother. Twins, in particular, place an even greater burden and stress on the mother, making Arwen even weaker."

Therefore, during pregnancy, no accidents must occur, and the mother's nutrition and magical energy must be guaranteed. After returning to the Valley, I will prepare some potions suitable for pregnant women. When Alme is further along in her pregnancy, you must ensure she takes them regularly.

"I've got it, I'll do it !" Luke nodded very seriously, memorizing every word Elrond said.

"They are both first-time parents and have little experience, so I will stay here until Arwen gives birth safely,"said Lady Galadriel, who had arrived.

Both Elrond and Luke showed delight upon hearing Galadriel's words.

"Thank you for your help, Lady Galadriel,"Elrond said sincerely.

Galadriel shook his head slightly, his tall figure shielding Arwen in his arms."Arwen is my granddaughter. Now that Celebrian isn't by her side, I'll have to take care of her."

Luke and Arwen were new parents, and they should have had elders to guide them through the process of pregnancy. However, Luke was an orphan, while Arwen's mother, Celebrian, had long since crossed the sea to the Land of Blessed Blessing.

Only Galadriel, the grandmother, could take on the role of caring for the pregnant Arwen, in place of her mother.

So Galadriel moved into Hogwarts Castle to be closer to Arwen and take care of her.

After confirming his granddaughter's health, Celeborn did not linger and returned to Lorien to guard the town, but frequently sent various elven foods and nutritional supplements.

With Galadriel's care, Elrond returned to the Valley with peace of mind, crafting various potions and elixirs, and regularly visiting the castle to check on Arwen's health.

Elrohir and Elladan, who were traveling abroad, rushed to the castle to visit their sister after receiving the news.

Like Bilbo and Gandalf, upon hearing the news, either came in person or brought gifts.

Upon hearing that the Lady was pregnant, the people of the territory decorated their homes with lanterns and streamers, celebrating the arrival of an heir to Hogwarts Castle.

Wizards within the territory also raised their wands, releasing magical fireworks into the sky, and presented various gifts.

In an instant, Brieville, Hogsmeade, and Isengard were all bustling with activity.

Windrise Castle, Galadriel and Arwen sat on a platform atop a towering Mawron tree. The most recent cockroach conclusion has been released.

A gentle breeze rustled the golden leaves, and the crimson sunset bathed the castle in a vibrant red glow.

The magical fireworks that continuously illuminated the sky above the city below, Galadriel looked lovingly at her granddaughter beside her and said softly,"Arwen, it seems you're doing well here, which puts my mind at ease. I think Celebrian would be happy for you too."

Arwen nestled close to Galadriel, her smile radiant and innocent."Grandmother, don't worry about me. Luke treats me very well. I'm very happy here."

Then, without realizing it, she reached out and stroked her belly, her eyes softening with affection."And now I'm having children too. I will be a good mother, giving them plenty of love and protection !"

As time went by, Arwen's once flat stomach gradually developed a slight curve.

Luke grew increasingly tense, carefully guarding his wife's side, never daring to relax for a moment, like a taut string.

Seeing her husband, who was even more nervous and anxious than she was, Arwen felt a mix of amusement and exasperation. She could only try to comfort him and calm him down.

Galadriel was both relieved and speechless. Finally, she unleashed her queenly authority, forcefully dismissing Luke and telling him to attend to other matters and not bother Arwen.

Luke knew he was in the wrong, so he quickly tried to distract himself and calm down.

Therefore, he temporarily focused his attention on political affairs.

After ten years of development, the number of wizards within the territory has reached nearly three thousand.

These wizards lived in three locations : Brie, Hogsmeade, and Isengard, and as their numbers increased, they gradually formed a wizarding market.

Wizarding Market is located in Hogsmeade, the most populous wizarding area, and stretches for an entire street.

This street was named Diagon Alley by Luke.

Diagon Alley has wand shops, robe shops, bookstores, owl shops, potion shops, broomstick shops, Floo powder shops, and many other shops.

Easternmost end of the street is Gringotts Wizarding Bank.

Gringotts Bank has two entrances, front and back, which are identical. The front entrance faces the main street of Hogsmeade and is used by ordinary people to exchange and deposit Galleons, Sickles, and Knuts.

The back door, however, faces Diagon Alley and is specifically for wizards.

At the westernmost end of Diagon Alley, directly opposite the Ministry of Magic tower, lies the building itself.

Diagon Alley was bustling with activity ; besides wizards, there were also dwarves and elves appearing.

Thanks to the vigorous efforts of the Ministry of Magic's Department of Transportation over the years, numerous Floo Net fireplaces have been established in other parts of Middle-earth, in addition to the territories.

Floo powder was sold far and wide, to various races and regions. Many dwarves, elves, and even human households hired employees from the Ministry of Magic's Department of Transportation to connect their fireplaces to the Floo Network.

Moreover, Filo Powder is reasonably priced; one silver shico can buy a large spoonful, enough for an average family's monthly supply.

The streets of Diagon Alley were filled with the sounds of vendors hawking their wares and haggling over prices.

Busy owls flit about Diagon Alley, delivering messages or packages.

Because of Luke, wizards have also favored owls as messengers and pets, and now almost every wizarding family has at least one owl.

Mischievous children rode toy flying broomsticks, dashing and crashing through Diagon Alley, eliciting gasps and scrambling for cover.

Getting back to the main story, after the first batch of students graduated from the crash course in magic and started their own families and careers...

The first batch of baby wizards born are now at least ten years old.

According to the standards of the magical world in another world, young wizards receive an acceptance letter from a magic school after they turn eleven, thus officially entering the school to study magic.

Of course, wouldn't let these young wizards grow up unchecked.

After all, adult wizards have varying levels of magical skill and each has their own strengths ; if they learn magic from their parents, it's difficult to cultivate well-rounded magical literacy.

Therefore, Luke planned to formally establish Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and then send acceptance letters to young wizards when they turned eleven.

Unlike previous crash courses in magic, this one involves tiered training, with students learning various magic courses from lower to higher levels according to the seven - grade division.

Around next year, the first batch of students will reach the age for admission.

Although the Ministry of Magic's staff could compile a list of admitted students and their names, Luke felt it was better to first issue the acceptance pens and admission certificates.

This will allow for better tracking of new student enrollment and will also facilitate the sending out of admission notices later.

Acceptance and the Book of Admission are important tools used by Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to select students for admission.

The Acceptance Pen is a magical quill that can detect children with magical talent throughout Britain. When a child first displays magical talent, the Acceptance Pen flies out from its silver inkwell and writes his name in the Book of Admission.

The Book of Admission, acting as the overseer of the Pen of Acceptance, reviews the names written by the Pen of Acceptance. Unless it receives sufficiently strong evidence that a person possesses magical abilities, it will refuse to have their name written on it.

Children who unfortunately experience magical outbursts and fail to receive treatment, becoming Squibs, originally possessed magical abilities but subsequently lost them. The Book of Admission will then review and remove them from the list to prevent the sending of admission notices to Squibs.

Luke planned to create these two items so that he could select suitable students for Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Making these two items wouldn't be difficult for Luke today.

The only question to consider is : what should the scope of detection for the Acceptance Pen and the Access Book be ?

Hogsmeade and Brie are both relatively close to Hogwarts Castle, but Eisengard is thousands of miles away.

Expanding the detection range of the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Admission to cover Hogsmeade, Brie, and Isengard would be no easy feat.

After all, this already covers the vast continent west of the Misty Mountains ; even a divine artifact like the True Knowledge Crystal couldn't completely cover such an area.

Furthermore, Luke was also considering whether the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry he was creating would only admit young wizards from his own territory, or include other races, such as elves.

However, elves grow up differently from humans. Elf children learn to speak, walk, and dance before the age of one, but their growth rate is much slower than that of humans. While human children of the same age have already grown into adults, elf children still look like they are six or seven years old.

It is not until they are 50 years old that elves' bodies grow to their full potential size and appearance, and they are considered adults only when they are around 100 years old, when they are fully mature both mentally and physically.

Moreover, for some high elves, it can take up to 100 years to fully mature.

Luke had previously seen some elven children in the Valley of the Dead and Lorien; they looked to be seven or eight years old, but were actually older than him.

Regardless of the differences in the elves' growth rates, Luke, still adhering to the principle of mutual consent, went to consult with Lady Galadriel and Elrond to see if the elves would be willing to attend Hogwarts Castle.

Following the elves' consistent principle of seclusion, if Luke wished, he could simply consider only the junior wizards within his own territory, and there was no need to make the detection range of the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Access very large.

We could create another small copy of the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Admission in Isengard, the place furthest from Hogwarts Castle, and then use that copy to select students from the surrounding area.

Regarding Luke's plan to open a magic school and accept students to learn magic.

Galadriel and Elrond both expressed their support and wanted the elf children to come to Hogwarts Castle to learn magic as well.

Elves are a magical race, they cannot actively cast spells like wizards. Instead, they tend to"implicitly integrate"into magic, such as controlling and utilizing the forces of nature, enchanting objects, and communicating telepathically.

Therefore, aside from ancient high elves like Galadriel and Elrond who can wield powerful magic, ordinary elves rely more on their extraordinary physical abilities, superb martial skills, and enchanted weapons.

Or rather, elven magic is more similar to ancient magic in the magical world—ancient and primitive, with lengthy and complex spellcasting.

The wand acts like a"magical conduit,"concentrating and stably releasing the magical energy within a wizard's body. Combined with specific incantations and hand gestures, it transforms this energy into magic with definite effects.

This applies not only to wizards, but also to elves.

Like Arwen, Elrohir, Elladan, and Legolas all possess wands crafted by Luke and have studied magic with him, making them far more powerful than other elves their age.

In recent years, with the emergence of wand shops, even elves have flocked to Diagon Alley, spending large sums of money to buy wands.

He also bought some magic books from the magic bookstore to study on his own.

Even though the spellbooks sold at Diagon Alley Bookstore only contained basic magical knowledge and lacked any offensive spells, the visiting elves still treasured them.

Thus, among the elven race, many appeared who wielded elven swords and magic wands.

However, since they had never received formal, systematic magical instruction and could only learn through self-study and trial and error, they could n't learn as much magic as wizards and only knew some of the most basic and common spells.

Even so, these elves, relying on their intelligence, developed these basic magics to their fullest potential.

For example, elves love the Fluorescent Spell the most, and they've turned a spell originally meant for illumination into a spell with the effect of Holy Light.

Holy Light not only subdues dark creatures, but also has the effect of purifying everything.

Even Luke was amazed by this and recorded the glowing spell, which had the effect of Holy Light, into his spellbook as an upgraded version of the glowing spell.

That said, after Galadriel and Elrond both agreed to allow elf children to also study magic at Hogwarts...

Luke then began preparing to create the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Admission.

However, this would require the detection range of the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Access to not only cover the territory of Luke, but also the valleys on both sides of the Misty Mountains and areas like Lorien.

In another world, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry's Pen of Acceptance and Book of Admission have a detection range covering the entire United Kingdom.

But to be honest, the whole of the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, and Ireland, is a tiny place, even smaller than the Eriador region.

Not to mention compared to the entire Middle Earth.

Luke's ambitions were even greater; he wanted to create a Pen of Acceptance and a Book of Access capable of detecting the entire Middle- earth continent.

Achieving this effect would be extremely difficult, requiring a vast amount of magic.

To bear such power, Luke painfully plucked a phoenix tail feather from his own body to create the Pen of Acceptance.

Then, the toughest part of the Frost Dragon's heart hide was chosen to craft the Book of Admission.

After six months of work, a magnificent gold and red quill pen and a thick, black, dragon- skin-covered book appeared on the workbench.

Luke, Galadriel, Elrond, and Gandalf, whom Luke had invited, gathered around the two magical artifacts.

Then Luke pointed his wand at the two items, continuously channeling magic while chanting a spell.

The phoenix quill pen and the dragon- skin book instantly floated up, emitting light, as Luke's magic flowed continuously into the two magical items.

Seeing this, the other three simultaneously raised their hands, and the three elven rings on their hands shone brightly.

Immediately, three streams of magic, countless times more powerful than Luke's, flowed like a torrent into the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Access.

The two items, like voracious beasts, readily absorbed the surging magical power.

At the same time, the magical energy fluctuations it emitted grew stronger and stronger.

Then an invisible force emanated from the two objects, rapidly expanding and covering the surrounding area.

This power was invisible and extremely secretive ; unless everyone present was very close, they wouldn't have been able to detect the power emanating from the two items. This power spread outwards in a circle, breaking through the castle, spreading to Hogsmeade at the foot of the mountain, and then continuing to spread, touching Brie, growing wider and wider, covering the entire Eriardo region.

Even after reaching this extent, the spreading, invisible force did not stop, continuing to expand and cover the surrounding area.

Finally, this force reached the Misty Mountains to the east, covering the Valley of the Dead, and then southward it covered the Ened region south of Eriador.

But it didn't stop there. The unseen force ignored all obstacles, piercing through the seemingly insurmountable Misty Mountains and continuing its eastward expansion. It reached Lorien, Mirkwood, the Lonely Mountain, the Iron Hills, and the Eastern Barbarian region, spreading southward to Isengard, Rohan, Gondor, and even Mordor, Harad, and Kharhad.

In Mordor's Baradur Tower, Sauron seemed to sense something, his enormous demonic eye gazing westward.

Finally, this invisible force, after almost completely covering the entire Middle Earth, came to a stop.

At Hogwarts Castle, Luke, exhausted and panting, put down his wand.

Galadriel, Elrond, and Gandalf also simultaneously ceased activating the Three Rings of the Elves.

Extending the detection range of the Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Access to cover the entire continent is such a vast power that it would require Galadriel to possess it.

Elrond, Gandalf, and the Three Rings of the Elves, Luke's power simply couldn't have accomplished it.

However, now that it's successful, Hogwarts Castle has gained another powerful magical item.

The Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Admission seemed to come alive, simultaneously radiating powerful and enduring magical energy.

The book, as if sensing something, automatically turned to a blank page.

The pen of acceptance, however, nimbly flew up and landed on the book of admission. Without ink, it swiftly wrote lines of dark green names, dates of birth, and addresses—all in great detail and clarity.

information on young wizards from Hogsmeade, Brie, and Isengard, as well as information on elven children from places like the Valley of the Dead, Lorien, Mirkwood, Linton, and even Dovenian in the Far East.

Luke even saw the name Grim Beon, the boy of the Skin- Swapping Beon, in the Anduin Valley.

Clearly, this little guy has inherited his father Beorn's abilities and also possesses magical powers.

The Pen of Acceptance and the Book of Admission record virtually everyone with magical talent living in every corner of the Middle Earth.

It includes not only children from birth to eleven years old, but also adults, with names such as Galadriel, Elrond, and Gandalf appearing in it.

Even more remarkably, Sauron's name appeared in the Book of Admission.

However, the name looks very dull, unlike the other names which shine brightly.

Acceptance seemed to welcome all, recording every person detected as possessing magical power in the Book of Admission.

However, the admission criteria were much stricter, completely eliminating the names of those over the enrollment age and then reclassifying and ranking them according to their enrollment date. Chasing the Last Blade of Firewood

The first page contains the list of new students who enrolled in September 2961.

Besides the young wizards within the territory, there were also elf children, Dúnedain people, and skin- changing people, totaling nearly a hundred people recorded.

The Dúnedain, descendants of the Númenor, are not only long-lived, possessing more than three times the lifespan of ordinary humans, but they also possess magical abilities.

Like Aragorn, who was adopted by Elrond, whose ancestor was Elroth, Elrond's twin brother, possessing elven blood and extraordinary magical power.

In 2951, when Aragorn turned twenty, Elrond revealed his true identity to him and gave him two royal heirlooms of Arnorr: the Ring of Barah and the Sword of Narsil.

by Elrond, Luke also personally crafted a wand for Aragorn.

Furthermore, Aragorn attended Luke and Arwen's engagement and wedding ceremonies.

After reaching adulthood, Aragorn left the Valley and returned to the Dúnedain tribe in the north, officially inheriting the position of chieftain, and began his travels and adventures throughout Middle-earth as a ranger.

Under Aragorn's command, lived in the region of Eriador, acting in secrecy and living a nomadic life, earning them the nickname"vagrants"from other humans.

As descendants of the Kingdom of Arnor, the people of the northern Dúnedain have always considered it their duty to protect the kingdom's former territory, secretly maintaining peace and tranquility in the Eriador region.

However, since Luke established his power at Windrise Peak, the Eriador region, especially the area around Windrise Peak, has enjoyed peace, and dark forces such as orcs have dared not invade the area again.

Therefore, the people of Dúnedain in the north gradually became more hidden and discreet in Eliado.

After the birth of the wizarding community and the establishment of the Ministry of Magic, the Aurors, centered on Windrise, swept outwards to eliminate all destabilizing factors, especially dark creatures.

From North Ridge in the north to South Ridge in the south, from Ancient Tomb Ridge in the west to the Last Bridge in the east, all became the Aurors' patrol area.

Any dark creatures such as orcs, trolls, and wargs found were to be annihilated without mercy.

Even the Trollshaws was swept away by the wizard Aurors ; the ogres were either killed or fled for their lives into the deep mountains, too afraid to come down again.

In particular, some of these Aurors were villagers whom Luke had rescued from the jaws of ogres, so they hated these ogres to the core and would kill them on sight.

The ogres in the ogre forest met their end; except for a few who managed to escape to deep mountain caves, the rest were almost entirely wiped out.

The once feared ogre forest fell silent.

There were no more reports of ogres running onto the east- west avenue and kidnapping passersby.

From the mountain peak to the secluded valley, passage is unobstructed.

With the wizard Auror protecting Eriador, the people of Dúnedain felt they had no place to use their talents, so they gathered at a river bend south of the Trollshaws, nestled between the Hoarwell (Mitheithel) and the Loudwater (Bruinen), where they lived in seclusion.

He found information about several recorded Dúnedain children in the Book of Admission, with addresses in the River Corner.

The acceptance letter and admission document are ready, and the student list is also complete.

Luke then began considering candidates for teaching positions.

It is now midsummer of 2961, just months before the first Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry begins.

the teachers before the start of the school year.

Just like Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in another world, Luke plans to offer the same curriculum.

The first- year curriculum includes Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, History of Magic, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Astronomy, Herbalism, and Flying.

This means that at least eight professors are needed to teach the students.

And this is just the compulsory course for first graders. In third grade, there will be elective courses such as Magical Creatures Conservation, Divination, Ancient Runes, Arithmetic Divination, and Alchemy.

There is a greater need for professors.

But that's not the priority. Let's find enough professors for the first year first, and then we can consider recruiting other professors later.

First, for Potions class, Luke directly chose Allen Heath, the potions master.

selecting from the graduates of those crash courses in magic.

In the history of magic section, Luke plans to use elven- compiled history books to teach students the history of Middle-earth, from the ancient Age of the Great Lamp, the Age of the Two Trees, the First Age, the Second Age, to the present Third Age.

And none are more familiar with this history than the elves, an immortal species.

Therefore, Luke plans to invite an elf to be the professor of magical history.

Luke immediately posted the job advertisement.

The wizards of Hogsmeade, Brie, and Isengard became excited upon hearing that their lord was recruiting professors for various subjects, and eagerly signed up.

Even Mayor Luke of Breeze, Mayor Luke of Hogsmeade, and Brog, chieftain of the Blackrock tribe, chose to sign up.

After rounds of selection and evaluation, eight course instructors were chosen in early July.

butler, defeated all competitors to become the Transfiguration professor.

Luke resigned from his position as mayor of Hogsmeade and became a professor of Charms.

The leader of the Dunlendings, became the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor.

The best potion master, became a professor of potions.

The position of professor of herbalism was taken by Margaret, a witch who was in charge of tending the Luke Gardens and herb gardens.

The position of professor of astronomy was unexpectedly taken by Alpha from Dúnedain.

Luke was also very surprised by this ; he never expected that Alpha, a Dúnedain, would choose to apply for the position of professor of astronomy, and that he would actually succeed.

Alpha holds a significant position among the northern Dúnedain people. Luke met him at the Leaping Horse Inn during the expedition to Lonely Mountain, and traded the Wight Ancient Sword obtained from the Ancient Tomb Hill for a large quantity of live medicinal herbs.

Furthermore, Alpha also possessed magical talent. After the wand shop opened in Diagon Alley, he went there, obtained his own wand, and purchased spellbooks from the spellbook shop in Diagon Alley to study on his own.

After learning and mastering the limited basic spells in the spellbook, he began traveling between Hogsmeade and Brie, visiting and seeking guidance on magic from the first batch of wizards who graduated from the crash course.

Through self-study and trial and error, he surpassed the magical skills of many students in crash courses in magic.

Furthermore, his existing astronomical knowledge allowed him to easily defeat his competitors, earning him Luke's favor and the position of professor of astronomy.

Luke originally intended to hire an elderly elf from the Valley for the position of Professor of Magic History.

However, Arwen volunteered and asked Luke for the position of Professor of History of Magic.

Looking at Arwen's slightly protruding belly, a year into her pregnancy, Luke wanted to refuse, but seeing the expectant look in Arwen's eyes, he hesitated.

Finally, Galadriel spoke up, persuading Luke to agree and explaining that she would help Arwen teach.

Luke then relented and agreed.

As for the flight instructor, Luke originally planned to find someone with good flying skills.

Unexpectedly, Gandalf appeared in the castle riding a flying broomstick.

"Gandalf, are you really going to apply for the professorship ?"

Luke asked in surprise.

"Perhaps you want top become the Headmaster of the wizard school?"
