Above the vast snowy plains, Gale looked around in a daze.
The pale green sky, with green particles floating in the air, dyed the snowy plains green, making them look incredibly dreamlike.
If not for the varying shades of green, Gale might not have been able to tell that this was a single world.
Looking at the snow-capped mountains not far away, he had just descended from them. That was where he had fought Shimruk, Dubrakan's territory.
He searched for the valley where the encampment was located, but it was empty. He then went to the gathering point of the snow mountain trolls, but there was still only vast white snow.
How did it become like this? Did I transmigrate again?
But this new world didn't even have a single animal, only endless green.
He reached out and caught the green particles; this was Natural Force. Was the entire world Natural Force?
Gale frowned, 'Could I have entered the Emerald Dream?'
As he was thinking, a giant white stag appeared in the distance and gracefully came before Gale.
"Child, how did you come to be here?"
Gale stared at the white stag, 'Could he be Cenarius's father?'
The white stag said gently, "Don't be afraid, child. You can call me Malorne, I bear you no ill will."
Indeed!
Gale curiously observed him. According to legend, Cenarius was the child of him and Elune.
"It seems you've lost your way," Malorne said. "Perhaps I can help you."
Gale said, "I don't know what my situation is right now. I was afflicted by a curse and arrived here after falling into a deep sleep."
Malorne laughed, "It seems that curse contained a very powerful Natural Force, which is why it was able to drag you into the Emerald Dream. Let me see what kind of curse this is."
As he spoke, the Natural Force floating in the air condensed, connecting Gale and Malorne.
Gale warned, "That curse is very domineering, you should be careful."
Malorne smiled, "Thank you for the warning."
After the Natural Force connected, Gale felt the curse's power surge towards Malorne along the Natural Force. Malorne allowed the curse's power to entangle him, analyzed it for a moment, and then used his divine power to lift the curse.
"I understand now. This curse is caused by soul energy. It seems you killed a powerful being."
Gale nodded, "I killed one of the trolls' loa, he was called Dubrakan. Just as I killed him, another loa, Shimruk, used his soul to cast a curse."
"It seems you are a powerful mage," Malorne praised.
"My strength is not great; I only know how to create powerful artifacts."
Malorne: "That is also a skill. loa are spirits of nature; they cannot be truly killed. As long as their souls exist, they can be resurrected. But when you killed the spirit of the snow mountain, you took his soul. Therefore, the resentment in the soul is very important. The wise man of the snow plains used this to cast the curse, which will torment your soul. The reason you came to the Emerald Dream is because the loa's own Natural Force is too powerful... How did you kill such a powerful loa?"
Gale shrugged, "Before Dubrakan, I also killed four other loa. However, after killing two loa, I crafted a spellbook that can store the soul power of the loa."
Malorne looked at Gale in surprise, "You truly are full of surprises!"
Gale: "This curse made me realize the shortcomings of that spellbook. When I return, I will immediately set about correcting it."
Malorne shook his head and said, "Child, loa are spirits of nature. If you do this, you will suffer a backlash from nature. This time you only suffered a curse; next time, who knows what danger you will encounter."
"I don't want to kill them either!" Gale said helplessly. "They help the trolls. If I don't kill them, countless Kaldorei will die. Of course, I actively sought out Dubrakan, and I shouldn't have taken his life. At the time, I was misled by the powerful strength displayed by the spellbook and wanted to take a shortcut."
"It seems you have realized your mistake," Malorne said with satisfaction. "Child, your nature is not bad. Power is endless, and the lifespan of the Kaldorei is very long, enough for you to pursue power. Any shortcut will carry risks; otherwise, it would have long become a smooth path."
Gale nodded, Malorne's words made a lot of sense.
"Sir, I will remember this lesson."
Malorne nodded in satisfaction, "Come with me! It's not difficult to lift your curse. Once you return, bring that spellbook to me, and we can purify the cursed loa souls. However, if you want to leave the Emerald Dream, you need to go to a specific location."
"A specific location?"
"Exactly!" Malorne explained. "The Emerald Dream is the blueprint the Titans used to forge Azeroth. It is separated from the real world, and only through specific exits can one return to the real world."
Gale asked, "Where is the exit?"
"The World Tree, Shaladrassil."
Gale recalled that Shaladrassil was the withered World Tree in Val'sharah. Its existence was ancient. After the War of the Ancients, the Kaldorei and Satyr fought, and later the Satyr were imprisoned beneath Shaladrassil's roots. As a result, the Satyr corrupted Shaladrassil, and Savis even evolved into the Nightmare King by stealing the power of the Emerald Dream.
However, from here to Shaladrassil was at least several thousand miles, and walking there would probably take some time.
Gale didn't care about the duration; it was a good opportunity for him to ask Malorne about Natural Force spells.
Malorne, seeing Gale's keen interest in Natural Force spells, answered all his questions, even telling him about the path of the Druid. Gale was a powerful mage, and if Gale could convert to the path of the Druid, it would have a profound impact.
Gale didn't care much for the path of the Druid. Whether it was Elune, the Holy Light, or the path of the Druid, he had no great interest. Having received years of atheist education, coupled with his identity as a transmigrator, Gale would not become a follower of anyone.
He wanted to walk his own path.
Malorne also noticed that whenever he spoke about the path of the Druid, Gale, while agreeing with him and even discussing the pros and cons of the doctrines, showed no intention of converting.
After Gale offered several suggestions for modifying the Druid doctrines, Malorne gave up on the idea of converting Gale. From then on, he only told Gale about the different Natural Force spells and how to cast them.
Gale also stopped criticizing the Druid doctrines, dedicating his entire mind and body to learning spells.
