Rielly glanced over, unable to suppress a chuckle.
Gale cleared his throat, glaring at him and saying, "Who would have thought you'd put the crystal here?"
Rielly pointed to the ground, where Faceless Ones were everywhere. They were attacking Dragonblight in droves, and the Red Dragons were struggling to resist.
Although dragons are powerful, they are, after all, flying creatures. Their combat effectiveness on the ground is greatly reduced. If they didn't rely on dragon breath to hold back the enemy, the Faceless Ones would have broken through their defenses long ago. If they were fighting in the sky, these Faceless Ones might not necessarily be a match for the dragons.
In the sky, they are attack helicopters; on the ground, they are, at best, armored vehicles, fighting tanks. Can the effect be the same? One strikes from long range, the other engages in close-quarters combat. Even if an armored vehicle is equipped with armor-piercing rounds, it will still suffer losses!
Gale looked at Heimdall, "Go down, stop those Faceless Ones, and I will provide you with support!"
Heimdall's eyes flickered. Although the Valarjar are powerful, they are still far inferior to the Faceless Ones. However, if they don't even dare to face the Faceless Ones, how can they have the courage to face Loken?
"Valarjar, attack!"
The Valarjar ran down Dragonblight, charging towards the Faceless Ones. They raised their shields to block the shadow spells that constantly attacked them, quickly approached the Faceless Ones, and launched a fearless charge.
Gale looked at Alexstrasza, "Lady, please allow the dragons to disengage from the battle and attack the enemy from the air."
Alexstrasza said hesitantly, "The army you brought doesn't seem to be a match for the Faceless Ones."
"Don't worry, Lady, I have my ways."
With that, Gale took out the Soul Gem and activated the Holy Light power within him, connecting all the Valarjar with a vast amount of soul energy.
The soul energy enhanced the Valarjar's strength, and the Holy Light energy granted the Valarjar ample courage and power to restrain the Faceless Ones. All the Valarjar grew several times in size, becoming nearly equal to the Faceless Ones.
Great power also brought ample confidence. The Valarjar pushed directly in front of the Faceless Ones. They slammed their shields into the Faceless Ones' heads, knocking them off balance, and then swung their swords, leaving wounds on their bodies.
Corrosive blood flowed from the Faceless Ones, and when it touched the Valarjar, it was purified by the Holy Light. A faint, unpleasant odor also gradually dissipated as it was scorched by the Holy Light at close range.
Alexstrasza looked at Gale in surprise, then ordered, "Take to the sky, attack from above."
The Red Dragons spread their wings and flew up, spewing dragon breath at the Faceless Ones from the air. The Red Dragons' dragon breath carried life energy and also had a purifying effect. Once it touched the Faceless Ones, it was difficult to extinguish.
Previously, every time the Faceless Ones were covered in dragon breath, they would first extinguish the fire. They simply didn't care about the Red Dragons' claw and tooth attacks.
But now, the Valarjar's attacks were also unbearable for them. If they chose to extinguish the fire first, they would be killed by the Valarjar. If they chose to resist the Valarjar first, they would slowly burn to death from the dragon breath.
The Faceless Ones fell into a dilemma. They bravely attacked the Valarjar, hoping to eliminate them first, and then extinguish the fire.
But how could the Valarjar, with the Soul Gem providing energy, be killed in just a few hits?
These spirits themselves possessed powerful combat abilities, wielding their shields and swords with incredible skill, deflecting the Faceless Ones' attacks one by one. Coupled with the Red Dragons continuing to spew dragon breath from the sky, the Faceless Ones quickly found themselves in a desperate situation.
One by one, the Faceless Ones were burned to death by dragon breath, and the scales of victory slowly tilted towards Dragonblight.
Rielly watched as Gale single-handedly turned the tide of battle with just the Soul Gem, immediately becoming curious. He had only been away for a few years; how had his cousin managed to acquire such a good item?
Alexstrasza was also very curious, but at this moment, the situation was excellent, and it was time for a major offensive. So, she said to the Red Dragons monitoring all sides from the sky, "Follow me!"
Descending from Dragonblight, Alexstrasza transformed back into her dragon form and flew towards the northern lair of the Faceless Ones. If a decapitation strike succeeded, this battle could end early.
In the north, the Faceless Ones had dug a huge cave in the snowfield. An endless stream of Faceless Ones ran out from there, attacking Dragonblight and filling the gaps left by those who had been killed.
Inside the cave, a powerful Faceless One overseer was constantly spawning Faceless Ones.
Alexstrasza and the Red Dragons flew over. Seeing this scene, she immediately knew that by killing this overseer, the battle could be ended.
She charged in abruptly, her strong limbs pinning the overseer, Ossian, to the ground. She unleashed a blast of dragon breath directly into his face, intending to burn Ossian to ashes.
Ossian activated a shadow shield, blocking the dragon breath. The dragon breath spread, clearing out the newly born Faceless Ones.
This enraged Ossian. He had accepted Yogg-Saron's mission to tie down Dragonblight. Yet, Alexstrasza had come knocking on his door. Without him to create Faceless Ones, his mission would surely fail.
Thinking of the punishment he might receive upon returning, Ossian violently flung Alexstrasza away, swinging his pincers and smashing them into the ground. Stones, accompanied by shadow spells, swept towards the dragons.
The Red Dragons rushed to Alexstrasza's front, spreading their wings to block Ossian's attack.
The stones could not harm the thick-skinned dragons, but the shadow spells easily pierced through their dragon hide. Several dragons were severely wounded, falling directly to the ground.
Alexstrasza quickly cast spells to alleviate the injuries of those Red Dragons. Then she charged at Ossian again, while other Red Dragons also spewed dragon breath at Ossian, providing cover for Alexstrasza.
However, Ossian's shadow shield still existed. Fearless of the dragon breath, he charged back at Alexstrasza, his two large pincers striking her body.
Alexstrasza cried out in pain, grabbing with all her might, tearing open the shadow shield, and immediately followed with a blast of dragon breath.
The dragon breath engulfed Ossian, and the smell of burning permeated the entire cave.
Just as the Red Dragons thought the battle was over, the dragon breath gradually extinguished, and Ossian looked at them mockingly.
"The great Yogg-Saron sends his regards through me."
Alexstrasza frowned at Ossian; this guy was really hard to kill.
Ossian once again raised his shadow shield and charged at Alexstrasza.
Alexstrasza gritted her teeth and glared, roaring as she charged at Ossian again.
At this moment, a rainbow streaked across Alexstrasza's head, directly piercing Ossian's chest.
Ossian looked down in confusion, not understanding what had happened. His body collapsed with a crash, making the Red Dragons breathe a sigh of relief.
It was then that they saw Rielly standing behind Ossian. In his hand, he held a spellbook filled with magic. The spellbook flipped its pages without wind, as if powerful souls were sealed within, trying to break free from its seal.
Rielly frowned. Following the method Gale taught him, he summoned the Soul Blade and plunged it into Ossian's body.
Ossian's soul was torn out, and it still tried to struggle.
But the soul of a snow leopard emerged from the devourer of gods, and with a gentle tug on the Soul Blade's chain, it pulled Ossian's soul over.
The devourer of gods absorbed it and snapped shut with a *thud*.
Rielly caught the devourer of gods, letting out a sigh of relief. He was really afraid that the souls sealed inside would escape.
