Unaware of what the primitive man was scheming, Modret and Axel continued on their way to the abyss above.
"Be on alert. I don't think escaping will be as easy as we think," Modret said to Axel, who nodded.
The two continued on their way, and the journey through was silent.
It was as though all the abyss creatures had vanished entirely.
Just as Modret was feeling unsettled, multiple red lights numbering up to a hundred appeared in the skies.
The numerous eyes locked onto both of them, and the red hue of their gazes illuminated their surroundings, causing Modret and Axel to see the faint outline of a bat-like Celestial creature.
Without hesitation, Modret increased his speed.
'Nothing is stopping me from leaving this Celestial Gate.'
He stretched his right hand and clenched it hard.
In a blink, more than ten bat-like Celestials turned into lightning and exploded into countless white fragments.
To the side, Axel's ghastly figure flickered like a phantom.
