Chapter 99 - 99: Diomas Is “Gentle”?

After everyone finished their lively dinner, Dr. Andrek had already left on his own. He was likely heading to China next—the safest country in the current chaos. Even Edion wouldn't dare send someone to interfere there. He needed to get there before Edion could respond, taking advantage of the distraction, or it would be too late.

Shaw and Hobbs rode in one car, while Leon and the three women took the Diomas. Leon chose the passenger seat this time, a playful smile on his face as he looked at Gisele. She was like a little girl with her favorite toy, thrilled and excited. Her face flushed, eyes shining, hands gripping the steering wheel.

The interior was as futuristic as a fighter jet cockpit. The dash had a "回"-shaped design, with no top horizontal bar, emphasizing the technological feel. A widescreen LCD stretched across the central console, perfectly in view. Besides the white leather seats, the floor and panels were made from solid wood. The gear lever had a soft blue ambient light, making it easy to locate at night.

Gisele tested the controls, feeling the thrill. "Huh… there's no start button? How do I start it?" she asked. Normally, a start button is behind the wheel or on the center console. She searched everywhere—no button, no key slot. Perhaps this was a luxury feature with voice recognition ignition.

"Start?"

"Ignition?"

She called out a few times—no response.

"This is for anti-theft," Leon explained. "No one else can start it, not even with the key. The key is only for sensing and locking. To drive, my voice is required."

Leon spoke to the console: "Start." Immediately, the car lights turned on layer by layer. The dashboard lit up, followed by the air conditioning. There was no engine sound at all. If one hadn't noticed the subtle vibrations, it would seem like only the electronics had powered on.

"This car is… gentle?" Gisele said, smiling, clearly impressed with Diomas.

"Gentle?" Hattie and Elena exchanged glances. Gentle? In this car? They didn't agree. The car had previously reached 900 km/h—they knew "gentle" was not the right word. It was a speed monster, a track king, pushing adrenaline to the max. No gentleness here, just raw destructive power.

Leon laughed: "Let's see if you still call it gentle later."

"I like it already!" Gisele was smitten.

"Buckle up, we're moving," Leon said. Everyone held the handles tightly; Hattiei and Elena looked especially tense. Gisele glanced at them. "Why so worried? I'm a good driver, nothing to fear."

"Just drive," Leon replied.

The road ahead was wide and straight, and the collision prevention system was active. Normally Leon turned it off, but with others driving, it ensured safety, automatically braking if needed.

Gisele pressed the throttle. The car hummed with power, growing louder and more aggressive as she applied more gas. The engine sounded like a fighter jet, a wave of power surging forward—ready to flatten everything, dominate everything. A car with a soul.

"Awesome!" Gisele's eyes sparkled. She shifted gears and slowly released the clutch. Even at this initial move, the car had already hit 100 km/h!

100 km/h at the start? Gisele, an experienced racer, was shocked. She knew acceleration was just as critical as top speed. The car's thrust pinned her back in the seat, exhilarating and terrifying.

But that was only the beginning. With slightly more throttle, Diomas transformed into a tyrant, roaring violently. Gisele screamed, thinking a missile had launched. The sound alone was frightening, the speed even more so. Within two seconds, the car had reached 200 km/h—just from moderate acceleration, not even the limit!

She wondered how fast Leon could drive it.

Gisele pushed harder, reaching 300 km/h in seconds. Diomas now fully awakened, unleashed its might. The terrifying speed and sound overwhelmed her.

"This car… it's a tyrant!" Gisele realized. This wasn't just fast—it had a personality, wild and relentless.

Trying to control it, she asked Leon, "How fast can it go?" Her voice trembled.

"500? Or 600?" she guessed.

"For you, maybe concept cars could touch that, but the real number?" Leon grinned. "900. With nitrous, breaking 1,000 km/h."

Gisele froze, mind blown. 900 km/h on the road? She couldn't believe it. The car's sheer power and Leon's mastery made him a force beyond comprehension.

He could handle the tyrant, Diomas, and even surpass it. Anyone else would be crushed under its power—but Leon? He was the ultimate rogue, a driver of unparalleled skill, commanding a car capable of near-missile speeds.
