O'Neal and Dominic had long been the top figures on the West Coast, the ones everyone talked about when it came to claiming the "God of Racing" title. No one expected Leon to appear out of nowhere and completely upend the hierarchy — seriously injuring O'Neal and forcing Dominic to unleash his Venom F5 in desperation. Leon had claimed D16 and the Venom, cementing his position at the top.
Everyone present was electrified by the story. Tobey's rise to the "God" position had already been exciting, but Leon's sudden domination on the West Coast made the imagination run wild. Just thinking about being in the passenger seat during one of his races made hearts race with excitement.
"This time, you'll get your chance," Leon said to Benny. "I came mainly to race Tobey — the East and West coasts will inevitably clash. Wherever there's a race, Benny will be flying the chopper to monitor it live. That way, the entire U.S. can watch the race, thanks to Monak's help."
Monak, a reclusive genius, is the organizer of the underground "Leon Cup" supercar races. Only racers with his permission can participate. He had always admired Tobey's skills and closely followed the rivalry between Tobey and Dino. The upcoming Leon Cup would be the ultimate showdown between Tobey and Dino.
"But there's likely to be extra trouble this time," Tobey said with concern. "Dino's been released from prison, and he'll be looking for revenge. If he interferes, it could drag you into problems. He'll never forget how Bit died during their last race, and how Dino shifted the blame to Tobey, landing him in jail for two years. Their hatred will never fade."
Leon tilted his head, curious. "Who's Dino? Is he that strong?"
"He's just an annoying show-off," Julia pouted, clearly annoyed.
At that moment, the sound of revving engines echoed outside the bar. Everyone turned and saw a convoy of luxury cars: a Koenigsegg leading the pack, followed by Mercedes, BMW, Land Rover, Maserati — ten vehicles in total. The air itself seemed to bow to their arrival.
From the lead car, a young man with a sharp, squared-off face stepped out. His arrogant gaze and high-handed demeanor made him look like the richest guy in all of New York. This was Dino.
In this story, Anita is not romantically linked to Dino. Instead, her eyes burned with hatred as she said coldly, "That's him — the one who killed my brother!"
Dino, in his usual overconfident style, strutted toward Tobey's table with his entourage of ten, pushing a waiter aside and sneering at everyone.
"Old friends' gathering? Why wasn't I invited?" Dino smirked, eyeing Leon. "And who's this stranger you've brought along?"
Leon calmly retorted, "Sorry, we didn't order any drinks. Even if you came, you wouldn't be served."
Dino's pride immediately took a hit. He was used to commanding attention, and here he was being subtly mocked.
His arrogance stemmed partly from his wealthy background. His uncle was a businessman with connections to American car legends like Carroll Shelby. Thanks to those ties, Dino had the audacity to look down on anyone from a small town, considering himself superior.
Leon, unfazed, continued, "Do you know the D16? I won it. The Venom? I sold it. Aston Martin Vulcan? I sold that too. Do you think five of your Koenigseggs could buy these three cars?"
Dino's jaw dropped. He had been away in prison too long — he didn't recognize how formidable Leon had become. Leon's cool demeanor and impressive track record made him the true showstopper, a living embodiment of "don't mess with me."
