The motorcyclists descended from the mountain road, taking a bit of time—
but unfortunately arriving right at this critical moment, ruining Leon's plan.
They pulled out compact automatic guns and opened fire on Elena and Gisele.
Tobey and Shaw were shocked and immediately drove up to block them.
But the enemy's driving skills were superb.
One rider lifted the front wheel, used the sports car's hood as a ramp, and launched himself over them, buzzing past to the rear.
There was simply no way to stop them.
Tat-tat-tat—
Gunshots echoed wildly.
Behind them, Dominic and the others had also rushed up, ramming into the bikes with their cars.
Some riders were caught off guard—
Their motorcycles were smashed, and with a thud, man and machine were sent flying.
The huge impact launched one rider straight off the mountainside.
"Ahhhh—!!"
A miserable scream trailed off as he fell. Moments later—
A massive fireball erupted below.
The motorcycle exploded, and the rider was naturally done for.
With the bikers joining the fray, the scene turned into utter chaos.
Clang—
Two steel chains connected to the tanker truck were struck by bullets and snapped.
The truck suddenly shot forward.
The driver had the accelerator fully pressed, and the vehicle surged like a beast—
In just two seconds it hit over 100 km/h.
The sudden imbalance threw the two inside off center.
Tony, whose foot was already injured, fell to the floor with a cry.
Pain exploded through him, his vision turning black—almost passing out.
Leon was slightly better—stumbling back two or three steps before stabilizing himself.
His reflexes were insanely good.
Tony panicked and drew his gun at Leon.
Just as he pulled the trigger—
Leon moved like a gust of wind.
His foot snapped upward, kicking Tony's wrist aside.
Bang!
The shot went off—
And the bullet struck the driver in the back of the head.
A spray of blood burst out.
The driver slumped over the steering wheel and collapsed sideways—
Which meant he cranked the steering wheel hard!
The tanker lost control instantly.
BOOM—
It flipped violently onto its side,
sending up a massive cloud of brown dust.
The heavier the object, the stronger the inertia.
The truck had been going fast—
As it flipped, it skidded uncontrollably, scraping up layers of dirt like plowed earth.
Everyone held their breath as the massive truck slid ahead.
Right in front of them was a cliff.
If the truck went over—
Even the strongest person would be done for.
The truck's front slowly slid over the cliff edge.
Elena, Hattie, and Gisele gasped and leaned forward in panic.
Ignoring their own safety, they drove up, desperately trying to stop the truck.
Luckily—
The tanker finally halted, stuck right at the cliff's edge.
The front and rear of the vehicle swayed dangerously—
One step from solid ground, one step from the abyss.
It was terrifying.
"Damn!"
Leon had been thrown off during the slide, but managed to grab the bumper.
Dangling over the abyss, he looked down—
His legs were suspended over hundreds of meters of empty air.
Far below, he could faintly see trees and a river.
Falling from this height—plus a tanker truck—
Even Batman would be done for.
Creak—creak—
The truck groaned in protest, its front sinking even further.
At this rate, it would fall in seconds.
The front was simply too heavy.
Leon panted, gripping hard.
Gathering strength, he climbed quickly onto the roof—
CRACK!
The truck tilted sharply.
It was slipping!
"No!"
Leon's eyes widened.
He began sprinting across the top of the tanker.
Right as he reached the rear, he stomped down hard—
THUD!
The steel plate dented under the force.
The recoil launched him upward.
Leon soared into the air, flying across the cliff gap.
Dominic, Shaw, Tobey, and the others stared, mouths agape.
Only in moments of life and death does one see true potential.
Leon looked like a superhuman, suspended in midair—
But beneath him was nothing but endless emptiness.
Would he make it?
Vrrrr—
Diomas drifted up, the rear of the car swinging outward.
"Grab on!!"
Ramsey shouted from inside.
Leon reached out with all his strength and grabbed the tail wing.
The drifting momentum flung him back toward solid ground—
And he tumbled onto the earth, safe.
"Ha… hahaha!"
Leon exhaled, trembling with adrenaline, overjoyed to still be alive.
Everyone else finally breathed out.
Just moments earlier, death had been a hair's breadth away.
Behind them, the tanker finally tipped over the edge and plummeted.
A massive crash followed—then an explosion.
The shock made everyone's scalp prickle.
Too close.
Too dangerous.
Leon felt his adrenaline spike like never before.
Diomas pulled up beside him. The door popped open.
"Get in, we have to move! Moses' main forces are almost here!"
Ramsey reached out her hand.
Leon grabbed it, climbed in, and said:
"Switch to manual control."
"Switching modes,"
said Momo, the AI hologram.
Ramsey blinked, staring.
"This… this is 3D projection? Without glasses? It looks real enough to fool my eyes!"
"She's the car's AI," Leon said.
"With her around, efficiency increases a lot."
The upgraded system was truly powerful—
Momo had already saved his life once.
Ramsey, being a hacker, understood exactly how hard real AI was to achieve.
But watching Momo's reactions—
So humanlike, self-aware, quick—
She couldn't help believing Leon.
"I wonder…"
Ramsey's eyes sparkled.
"Can God's Eye hack her?"
