Chapter 401 - Chapter 401: Raiden Shogun: "I'm Stealing Her Part!"

"My sincerest apologies! We've caused you both unnecessary trouble!"

After the Raiden Shogun translated for them, Kujou Sara finally understood who the two visitors were.

They were guests from another world—and people personally brought here by Su Ran.

That made them honored guests without question.

Ordinary citizens might still think Inazuma was ruled solely by the Raiden Shogun, but those at the top knew perfectly well:

if Su Ran wanted to change something, the future of Inazuma could be decided with a single sentence from him.

After all...

all three Raiden Shoguns listened to him.

In Sara's understanding, Inazuma belonged to the three Raiden Shoguns.

And the three Raiden Shoguns...

belonged to Lord Su Ran.

Not that she considered that a bad thing.

"Don't worry."

"I'm not that petty."

Since Sara had already apologized,

Serval had no intention of pursuing the matter.

She was easygoing by nature.

Compared to Sara, however, she was much more interested in the tiny Raiden Shogun.

She simply couldn't figure out what kind of being such a tiny little person was.

She looked...

like nothing more than an adorable mascot.

Especially when she calmly picked up her teacup and sipped from it.

That only reinforced Serval's impression.

Although Kujou Sara couldn't understand what Serval was saying, she could read expressions.

From Serval's face alone, it was obvious she wasn't planning to make things difficult.

"Since Su Ran is your boss..."

"He must have done quite a lot recently."

"Could you tell me about it?"

Although the Raiden Shogun had been occupied constructing her own Eternity within the Plane of Euthymia, she remained deeply interested in the affairs of her creator.

"Huh?"

"Is the Boss's story really that fascinating?"

Granted...

he really had accomplished quite a lot.

Whether in Belobog or aboard the Xianzhou Luofu, his deeds had caused quite a stir.

"He is an indispensable existence to Inazuma."

"So naturally, he is important."

The Raiden Shogun directly tied Su Ran to Inazuma.

As for Snezhnaya...

Forget it.

Su Ran had spent far longer in Inazuma than he ever had in Snezhnaya.

Besides...

Snezhnaya only had one Cryo Archon.

In Inazuma, there were three Raiden Shoguns.

One gentle.

One stern.

One adorably petite.

How many "types" did the Cryo Archon have?

"Sara."

"Bring me paper and brush."

"Yes, Your Excellency."

Although Sara had no idea why, she obediently fetched writing materials.

Once everything had been prepared, the Raiden Shogun looked toward Serval.

"You speak."

"I'll write."

If Sara could understand Serval, she would've delegated the writing.

Once these events were recorded, they would become part of Inazuma's official history.

If Inazuma possessed records that Snezhnaya lacked, then when the time came, who could claim Su Ran truly belonged to?

Would the Cryo Archon still get the final say?

After all, what record could possibly carry more authority than one personally written by the Raiden Shogun herself?

Ei lacked the mind for such political maneuvering.

Makoto wasn't possessive by nature.

Only she could handle this.

It was all...for the good of Inazuma.

Now tell me—who was truly thinking about Inazuma's future?

How could those two compare with her?

Watching the Shogun prepare to take notes, Serval assumed she simply wanted to record Su Ran's achievements.

She didn't think much deeper than that.

After all,

Belobog already belonged to Su Ran.

There was no need for her to worry about whose "side" he belonged to.

So she began recounting everything from the beginning.

Although she hadn't personally witnessed Su Ran's first arrival in Belobog,

Bronya's earlier complaints had filled in many of the missing details, including the conflicts and everything that followed.

Listening quietly, the Raiden Shogun nodded from time to time.

It was actually rather similar to her own experience.

She had clashed with Su Ran at first as well.

Then...

she'd been defeated in a single move.

Afterward, he'd spent considerable effort awakening her once more.

Repaying hostility with kindness.

As expected of someone even she respected.

His character truly was admirable.

The Belobog portion of the story satisfied her greatly.

It perfectly demonstrated Su Ran's strength—and his compassion.

Then...

Serval reached the Xianzhou portion.

The Raiden Shogun suddenly sensed something was off.

"...Wait."

"The 'cold lady' you mentioned..."

"Surely you don't mean that one from Snezhnaya?"

"Hm?"

"You know her?"

Serval blinked.

"Well... I suppose that makes sense."

"She's the god of that snowy nation."

"Of course you'd know each other."

Gods of different nations interacting was perfectly normal.

Besides, this little Shogun might even be Miss Makoto's—or Miss Ei's—daughter.

Totally reasonable.

"..."

The Raiden Shogun unconsciously tightened her grip on the brush.

Had she been using her normal body, the brush would've snapped in half.

Fortunately, her tiny body limited her destructive strength.

Damn it...

Su Ran hasn't even taken me traveling yet!

If it had been Makoto or Ei, she wouldn't have minded.

But instead—it was that Cryo Archon, who was obviously trying to steal him away!

Sara's instincts were sharp.

She immediately sensed the faint pressure unconsciously leaking from the little Shogun.

She swallowed nervously.

Recently, the little Shogun hadn't been nearly as cute as before.

Instead...

she had become much more like the Raiden Shogun Sara knew.

Even angry, the little Shogun was still unbelievably adorable.

Still, Sara quickly straightened her expression.

As much as she liked seeing the little Shogun, making her angry was definitely something to avoid.

After thinking it over, the Raiden Shogun made a decision.

She would simply...

replace the Cryo Archon's role in the story.

After all, Inazuma had three Raiden Shoguns.

The three of them were rarely seen together.

That meant they naturally had airtight alibis.

She'd just...

cuck the Cryo Archon out of her part.

Besides, Su Ran himself had practically been "stolen" over to Inazuma anyway.

What could the Cryo Archon do?

Cry about it?

The Raiden Shogun was a woman of action.

The idea had only flashed through her mind—yet her hand was already moving.

Without hesitation, she crossed out "the cold lady" and replaced it with herself.

Makoto and Ei would only leave behind plot holes if she used them.

She, at least, was dependable.
