Chapter 4 - EXPLANATION OF THE WORLD AND SYSTEM

The Class Systems

The classes consist of: Upper Class, Middle Class, and Lower Class.

Lower Class

The lower class is a place with no rules, no leader, and no governance. It's where "trash" is thrown and left to survive. The sky is almost always a darker shade of blue or black. They live in abandoned houses and buildings. Rain is rare, and the sun only shines on lucky days.

Food and clean water are delivered to them by the Upper Class, section by section, on a weekly basis. Their drainage system works, but it's often blocked, and the water isn't safe to drink, though it's usable for bathing. Medicine is also delivered weekly, but only basic supplies are provided.

They have no electricity or access to technology. There's no education, so nobody knows how to read nor write. Abandoned libraries contain books, but they're used for kindling fires.

The lower class is the most populated due to the number of lawbreakers banished from the Upper and Middle Classes. They're injected with a liquid called "amnesia," causing them to forget everything, before being dumped here.

The Lower class knows nothing about life in the Upper or Middle Classes, only hearing stories and judging based on interactions with guards who deliver supplies weekly. Their sole means of communication is through intercoms, which are rarely used since only the Middle and Upper Classes can operate them.

Middle Class

The middle class represents today's contemporary society. They grapple with everyday struggles like taxes, inflation, and other economic pressures. While services like healthcare and education are available, they're not always affordable for everyone.

The middle class is informed about the lower class's conditions, as it's a topic of discussion and documentation in their daily lives. Their interactions with the Upper Class are limited to providing domestic work and security services, such as bodyguarding. These roles give them restricted access to the Upper Class's world, resulting in a narrow understanding of what it means to be part of the Upper Class.

They catch glimpses of luxury and privilege, but their experiences are largely confined to their own socioeconomic reality. The Middle Class likely has more access to technology, like smartphones and internet, and possibly some modern amenities, though perhaps not to the same extent as the Upper Class. Their lives are characterized by a balancing act between managing resources, pursuing opportunities, and navigating societal expectations.

Upper Class

Members of the upper class are typically highly advanced in various aspects of life, particularly in technology, where they're often at the forefront of innovation and adoption. They enjoy unparalleled wealth and privilege, with financial concerns like taxes and inflation being negligible.

This allows them to lead luxurious, comfortable lives, with access to exclusive experiences and opportunities. Their children often attend elite schools and universities, setting them up for future success. However, life in the upper class comes with its own set of challenges.

Constant scrutiny and high expectations can be overwhelming, and arranged marriages or family pressures may limit individuals' freedom to pursue their true passions. Additionally, the pressure to maintain a perfect image and uphold family reputation can be stifling, and social isolation can occur due to limited interactions with people from other backgrounds.

The Game Tournament

The history of the formation of the game, including how and why it came to be, will be discussed as the story progresses.

Main Rules of the Tournament(Can be changed by the top only):

1. Only one person can win.

2. When you lose, you return back to your class (home).

3. The winner gets to decide the fate of the world for the next 100 years.

4. Only people between the ages of 18-40 are allowed to join / You must pass the eligibility test to join the tournament.

5. You are not allowed to bring anything with you into the game.

The area where the tournament is held is located at the center of the Earth. It's as big as a country, thus able to accommodate all players.

There are only three train tracks leading to that area, each stretching out from each class (Upper, Middle, and Lower). In the area, doctors, guards, and police are on standby to assist and oversee the game.

Cameras are everywhere in the area, except in the showers and bathrooms, indicating that the whole event is being televised for the world to see, excluding the lower class.

The Games

The game tournament consists of 10 levels. Each level consists of stages: easy, medium, and hard. You must survive all of these stages in order to advance to the next level.

Privileges of Each Class in the Tournament

Lower Class: They no longer have to fight for their basic needs. They have decent toilets and showers that they can use on a time-to-time basis, given the large number of participants. They have proper medicine and doctors to tend to their wounds.

Middle Class: They have access to better accommodations, such as private quarters with basic amenities. They also have access to advanced medical facilities and top-notch doctors. Additionally, they can bring a limited amount of personal gear into the tournament.

Upper Class: They enjoy luxurious accommodations, including private suites with high-end amenities. They have access to exclusive medical facilities and personal doctors. They can also bring a personal assistant into the tournament, who can provide strategic advice and support throughout the game.

You can ask questions and enjoy the book.
